Miniseries shouldn't count as TV shows. TV Shows require more planning, and are more difficult to make. Miniseries are just overblown movies. TV shows have characters that span multiple years, storylines that branch out throughout the show's story, and organization of each season. Miniseries are especially overrated since all the average viewer wants is a "good ending" and as long as the miniseries has a good ending, they will give it a 10. A TV show requires much more to achieve a good ending, and takes much longer to get there than a miniseries. If we do not count miniseries, the IMDb top 10 would be:
