It's a similar need though. Dany thinks to herself at one point that she wishes Daario would ask her to leave everything and just go live a simple life as husband and wife with children in a house with the red door, but she knows Daario won't do it because he doesn't love her like that.
Meanwhile Jon has the "We'll go back to that cave" line with Ygritte before she dies, and there's the scene in the first book/season where Uncle Benjen tells him that he might want to have a wife and children some day with the implication that it's true.
Both are too duty bound to leave their positions for the moment, but it makes sense as an ending for both of them to run off together and completely drop their duties because that's what they really want.
