That movie was bad.

>reddit is triggered again
Jacobs Ladder, Silent Hill 2 was the video game adaption for it.
Wtf m8 eraserhead isn't horror
i've never seen anything scary. eraserhead and texas chainsaw massacre is creepy
the only movie that ever scared me as an adult was It Follows, but only one other person I know agrees. Everybody else thinks it was laughably bad, but they like shit like paranormal activity that I can only see as stupid trash.
When I was 12, Signs was scary.
This is bait. Imagine actually spending time making that image. Those aren’t even horror you fucking cock mongler
It Follows is the biggest IQ filter in the world.
Retards are absolutely incapable of getting past "dude so it's an std? that's so dumb lol"
Which is a big deal in how horror movies are received. The masses cannot put themselves into the situation and experience it vividly as the characters, therefore they are physically incapable of imagining having this curse and having to deal with it, how you're the only one that sees it so it's really hard to know if it's close to you considering how many people near us we have each day. How even after passing it on it'll still be a problem because if one person fails it the chain will go back and the more time passes since you passed it on the more likely it is for people to become careless and feel safe again and one of them dying, resulting in a bunch of people getting caught off guard and the chain coming back to you.
Same exact experience happened with It Comes at Night.
you know how many (you)s this pic harvested over the years?
Easily the most unsettling film I've seen in the last 20 years.
>you's having meaning
Says someone who was weaned on upvotes.
creep was kinda spooky I thought
Yeah but, Cabin in the Woods is unironically a masterpiece. I went into that movie completely blind expecting a typical horror slasher, and it completely blew my fucking mind.
>basedguments (onions arguments)
kek
The exorcist. Watch it at night alone in the dark for the full experience
The Thing
Niggas can't argue that it's at least in the top 10 horror movies of all time
>Hereditary
Boring nu-horror like Insidious and Babacuck
sleepaway camp
Funny Games is genuinely one of the most uncomfortable movies I've ever sat through. It's essentially Michael Haneke going "fuck you" for enjoying violence as a form of enjoyable escapism, so he made the least unsatisfying home invasion movie ever.
Both the 1997 Austrian and the 2007 American shot-for-shot remake are pretty good.
>actually calling that a masterpiece
Why do you speak in such excessive hyperbole?
More creepy than scary but its a bona fide masterpiece
i miss the nes bloop noises
I fucking love Yea Forums we hate everything good, condition ourselves you hate movies because of politics and have alita general threads every day
People who say shit like this about Funny Games and the Strangers MUST be from reddit
Fucking based. Reddit niggers on suicide watch.
Hereditary is scary as fuck
Shutter (2004) the Thai original was good
onions animation/artstyle that is ripping off someone else's parody
nice
lol so true
What a fucking awful movie that was. Horrendous monotone acting
the thing is perfect but its not scary more like unsettling
No. It's more gross than it is scary
but i enjoy funny games unironically for its violence thus saying "fuck you" back to haneke
Noroi the Curse was pretty good
>Paranormal Activity 3
based
also Hereditary was great, fuck the contrarians
Prince of darkness
and now “therefore it’s friggin superior” is stuck in my head again
damn you
>alita general threads every day
nobody tell him
Le epic Yea Forums troll xD
Keep your shitty opinions only fo ryou, m8
look at how many yous you gave that low effort fuck smdh
Fucking loved this movie.
NO YOU SAID THE WORDS IN THE PICTURE
>for you*
Kill yourself and your pretentious ass.
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari
This is the most disturbing movie I've ever seen.
"making fun of tropes" wasn't the reason I liked Cabin in the woods. I just liked the monster scenes.
>Eraserhead isn't scary
Kys incel
>an all powerful malevolent being from an alternate reality torments two innocent children
>the beings continued existence causes reality to warp around it merging together the reality of the being the children and the viewer
>as the children's lives crumble around them the being makes a sick game out of it and tortures the people of the tow
Can't wait until they make an SCP movie guys!
Gonna be so spooky! I hope I don't wake my wife, screaming
In the Mouth of Madness
indie horror movies, found footage style
>not liking Audition
Who ever made this should feel bad. Even if its just bait.
its a good bait because most people like at least one or two of those movies, and they simply cant ignore the post
Funny Games is legitimately a good movie unlike The Strangers.
I will admit its good bait but I think it would be more effective if it used The Last House on the Left.
what is it ripping off?
Silent Hill 3 looks way more like Jacob's Ladder than SH2
based
Spoorloos/The Vanishing rips my heart out every time and is genuinely terrifying, especially for nonincels
the fucking image in the OP you absolute mong
Lost Highway - Party Scene
The Witch
WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?
Imagine not enjoying, anything.
This movie gets under my skin so much
Inland Empire
Go back to watching Michael Bay shit
Imagine....
this is the one with the flowers that make cell phone noises?
Yeah.
uh oh, what can I like to not be s o y?
Threads
this is now a cat with a bat thread
Strangers is r*ddit. Funny Games is not
American Psycho 3: Oval Office Psycho In Chief
The stereotypical red devil hand at the end ruined it. The evil force never should have been seen. Otherwise a great movie.
..you think Martyrs not creepy?
The Mothman Prophecies
>Imagine actually spending time making that image.
Just think about how long this user has desperately posting this in every thread desperately hoping that someone might save it some day.
No one will ever save it.
DUDE. Scariest movie I have ever seen. Only film that gives me comparable chills is Texas Chainsaw Massacre and even then that's for way different reasons. Prince of Darkness is super disturbing, Carpenter's best film by far
It's just torture porn, utter shit. French nihilism is so boring. They should stick to fucking
I actuslly met another crytpozoologist ivestigator that knew the guy in this film that Gere played. He was also down there in PA around that time. He didn't see all that othet soopy stuff. He postulated that the mothman was actually a giant unknown kind of owl. Of course owls are soopy as hell too.
I remember the main girl being hot as fuck, the scene where they try to cauterize dude's leg stumps, and talking flowers.
My fourth favorite evil plants movie behind the happening, godzilla vs biolante, and little shop of horrors.
The actual story of the mothman prophecies is such a bag full of fucking nothing.
Its dark, not creepy imo
It is decidedly NOT torture porn, pleb.
This
I know I'm going to get dunked on but It Follows.
How is The Exorcist anything but a comedy?
>Dude, nihilism
Fucking retards like you shouldn't be allowed to use computers
patrician taste my dude.
Pretty underrated. The book is VERY unsettling, but they did quite well with the adaptation.
Fire in the Sky
So you like The exorcist
It was a deliberate choice and contributes significantly to the mood of the movie.
My pick is Possession
possession is borderline unwatchable desu
I'M SO EXCITED!
It Follows
Dark Skies
Then what is it? Dude loses his shit and kills his baby. Certainly had the atmosphere of a horror movie.
It really doesn't do you any favors. Sort of just drops you in the middle of some shit and you can't really put it together until the end. I love it though and it's certainly disturbing and fits OPs criteria.
In what fucking universe is Zodiac a horror movie. It's a thriller at most.
The ghost writer
The movie does a good job of making you care about Regan before the possession shit really kicks in. Feeling bad about her and what's happening keeps it from being a comedy. But if you're just playing on your phone waiting for scary parts you'll be disappointed with every good horror movie.
what's a mong?
Silence of the Lambs
An SCP movie or series would be cool desu.
>liking The Happening
You're delusional
Galaxy of Terror.
I remember seeing in a theater in Scotland while I was on vacation and falling asleep. Boring.
I don't consider it Hereditary bad. The scene leading up to the second act I think is very realistic in describing the horror the character feels at that moment. That's how a state of shock happens.
I find the film interesting, but for some reason it disarms at the end of the act Imagine the smell in the cottage. Anyway, I don't consider it "soya". I like the concepts handled by A24, like Mr. Robot, which shows an alternate reality where "Occupy Wallstreet" climbed and worked.
What the fuck are you guys twelve or something?
Way to ruin a movie for anyone here who hasn't seen it, you mongoloid retards
Still better then this bullshit like the witch or hereditary.
Just watched this and it was disappointing as hell. Absolute fucking trash.
Is this what my cat's dreams are like?
Kill yourself, you actual retard
it was actually pretty scary/unnerving, it just had a few dumb parts
watch life with jake gyllenhaal
WOAH
>a few
The whole film is meme fuel
>prince of darkness
>carpenters best film
wat, the thing 1982 is by far the best carpenter film.
>Dark Skies
It could have been the greatest horror movie if it weren't for the cgi... should have stuck to practical.
You first asshole.
Frailty. It's a truly underrated gem.
Lol. Sorry not everyone here is literally dumb like you are, you tool.
As a kid the movie gave me repeated nightmares because I watched it up to the krang appearing and was interrupted.
Took me forever to find the name of it.
How would you describe it fuckface
Fuck your soi horror. The Ruins was one of the last great modern horror films made.
Still can't finish the movie and it's been 5 years
>Alien
>nu-horror
yeah, you didn't even wait for anyone to reply to your garbage before you chomped at the bit, did you, you autist?
>soi horror
You've been turned into a meme. I'm sorry, user.
Captures insanity in a certain way like no other film has. Very unique.
How far did you get? Or is this bait?
I agree at least with the sentiment behind this image.
I want to be scared. Not mildly disturbed, not thought-provoked, but scared.
The only movies that scare me as an adult are The Grudge movies and The Mothman Prophecies.
Not scary, but definitely creepy and uncomfortable the whole way through.
An American Drea m
It's a comedy
This. Best taste in the thread right here.
Misery.
i simply cant get through it, is way too much.
Tbh I only made it about 30-40mins. it was nerve-racking and I was angsty to know what was going on so I skip to the part where he sees what his wife been going to, having intercourse with the god-forsaken abomination
Like I said, can't bring myself to finish it even with friends
The Ruins was awful. The jump scares had no build up and no other function than to punctuate bloated sections of dialogue. I don't mind a lot of dialogue if the characters are interesting, but there is little development, and the characters themselves are cliched and unlikable. The film is not good enough to be a satire of these characters, it's all played with a straight face.
Not scary, cheesy, boring, and too long.
A Dark Song
It Follows
Kill List
The VVitch
The Orphanage
The Invitation
Imagine being so far up your own ass you say killing of a sacred deer is kino.
