What's with this trend of having a mini-trailer for the trailer before it starts? Are people's attention spans so fucked they need an immediate snippet of the action just so they watch the rest of the 2 minute trailer?
What's with this trend of having a mini-trailer for the trailer before it starts...
I hate it so much
most people skip ads on youtube so they want an attention grabbing scene at the start so people will watch it
I hate it so much but that's exactly what it is.
yes
Short attention spans are becoming a huge problem in zoomers as they're conditioned to receive very short, instantaneous bursts of dopamine. If they don't receive a dose withing the first few seconds they simply lose interest and their attention will drop.
When did it start anyway?
The focus group forgot what they where supposed to be focused on if more than 30 seconds elapses without stimulus.
>tfw I only read the first ten words of your post
It's just fashion.
First you get the trendsetters, then a larger group notices and follows, then the majority does it, then everybody does it, then people get bored and move onto the next thing.
Similar with the le acoustic/choir version of dark songs in trailers
I FUCKING HATE ZOOMERS SO MUCH
it's this
That and the single piano plink depicting something dramatic or serious about to go down
It’s to cater who accidentally ran into it by scrolling on their phones. The average “let’s see what this is about” pause before scrolling to the next thing is about 2-3 seconds. Just like you’ve quickly browse through countless threads before picking one to follow.
No, it’s not intended for you (consumer clicking on the trailer with prior interest). No, your not the target audience of anything at this point.
POST STARTS NOW. Fuck zoomers
You have to wait 5 or 6 seconds before skipping an ad on YouTube. They're cramming what they're selling in that small amount of time.
>they release a teaser announcing the trailer
Sometimes there isn't even an action shot. It's literally 2 seconds of TRAILER NOW.
the fuck?
how come i didnt know about stallone kino?
shit i gotta check the trailer out
Social media. Trailers etc. Popup in there on your wall, usually without you looking for them (you'd be looking for them on YT) and often without the sound, so the point is to grab your attention sobthat you'd watch the whole damn thing. They'd ignore the fucking logos and scroll past them.
>acoustic covers of pop songs
I kid you not the local kinoplex here plays that all day in the lobby. Walked into acoustic disturbed yesterday, couldnt stop fucking laughing
It was for Facebook/Instagram. They're short clips for people who scroll down posts.
