C'thulhu? Which Lovecraft short story is your favourite one, \tv\? I'm going with The Dream-Quest of unknown Kadath. It had its problems, like arriving to a place and then having to go to another place, and it repeats this strategy but it’s still weird, and it’s why I like it. Talking about slaves, army of cat saving the main character, the adventure, the minimal but still effective horror elements.

>Between dogs and cats my degree of choice is so great that it would never occur to me to compare the two. I have no active dislike for dogs, any more than I have for monkeys, human beings, negroes, cows, sheep, or pterodactyls; but for the cat I have entertained a particular respect and affection ever since the earliest days of my infancy. In its flawless grace and superior self-sufficiency I have seen a symbol of the perfect beauty and bland impersonality of the universe itself, objectively considered; and in its air of silent mystery there resides for me all the wonder and fascination of the unknown. The dog appeals to cheap and facile emotions; the cat to the deepest founts of imagination and cosmic perception in the human mind. It is no accident that the contemplative Egyptians, together with such later poetic spirits as Poe, Gautier, Baudelaire, and Swinburne, were all sincere worshippers of the supple grimalkin.

Stop whining anglo. If you left this place you wouldn’t be seeing me around all the time either. Don’t pretend it takes time and effort to be here or that you’re not here just as much.

Why is everyones focusing on the monster when the story was actually focused on the cult of Cthulhu, practicing human sacrifices, existing all around the world and being underground? With also creepy dreams about R'lyeh and her weird geometry.

We are not even sure that the monster on the island was actually the proper Cthulhu and not just a star-spawn.
If Cthulhu awakens staying on Earth and destroying humanity make no sense for him.

OWIE ZOWIE, RIGHT IN THE COSMIC SPHERES

He has no active dislike for negroes, he just realizes they are sub-human.
