Toho already investing big money in the US, interested in more projects. They, the public in Japan and the fans worldwide really like them and there's no point in turning back on successful investment because of a few gatekeepers.

This may explains why brodan had not much screentime despite being Dougherty favorite Kaiju. I would watch this kind of spin off
