>One of the Game of Thrones series finale's most contentious points was Bran becoming king of the now Six Kingdoms; a twist that, according to the actor who plays Bran Stark, comes straight from author George R.R. Martin!

Bran being King is absolutely fine. The problem was never the direction D&D went in, just the way they went about going in that direction was shit.

Why does the media misconstrue the fan issues with the finale?

The results of the last episode were fine.
Even then major plot beats leading up to it.
(Night king killed, dragon killed, danny goes crazy)

The problem was we got there in an extremely rushed and lazy way, the responsibility of which lies solely at the feet of D+D.

Everything else, the production staff, the acting, music 10/10.

bookfags are absolutely fine with the ending

This. The issue isn't the plot points, for the most part. The issue is that the execution is shitty and makes no sense.

I have a feeling Bran becoming king in the books will involve him using time travel/warging shenanigans to manipulate events in his favor. I also think there's a good chance it will be portrayed in a less favorable light in the books. By that point he won't be Bran, he'll be the Three Eyed Crow, and the Three Eyed Crow is a strange semi-omniscient entity whose motives aren't fully understood and could easily be malicious.

dnd should've done their own ending but they can't write for shit tьh famalama

Show was perfectly fine, it was what GoT's always been, for better or worse, also considering the number of episodes they had to wrap it up.
The problem is, every faggot on the internet thinks he's a film critic these days, i've seen sub 70iq mongoloids on articles, forums and youtube acting like they're Roger Ebert.

This. I recall reading somewhere Martin said Bran would be the last PoV in the last book. We'll probably get some insight into just who he really is and whether he's still Bran or whether Bloodraven or the Children of the Forest or whatever has actually taken over his body.

you can't provide a single argument to that claim, outside of "it didn't go as i wanted to"

i wanted stannis to win :(

Lol the cripple becomes king.. GRRM write democracy in his books. Fucking fat fuck.

I saw it coming miles away
Remember, A dream of spring was supposed to be called A Time for Wolves until like 10 years ago

If Bran becomes King it's because he has stolen Jon's body at the resurrection and Jon lives out the rest of his life in Ghost.

well, it will SUCK if everything about Bran is explained in the very last chapter of the series.

woah, GRRM read LoTR when was 12? That's pretty based.

Why would you make this assumption at all? There are two more books that will be full of Bran's PoV chapters. His mental state isn't going to get completely ignored for all of those chapters except the last.

>The results of the last episode were fine.
No they aren't

Yea Forums was right, asoiaf is reddit tier trash

sup grrm, didn't know you lurked around. it's cool if it ends with bran, that not the issue. i just said it will suck if all bran's explanations come at the very end instead of gradually building up.

>it was what GoT's always been
You're delusional if you think this, rewatch from the beginning and it gets noticeably worse and worse.

>i just said it will suck if all bran's explanations come at the very end instead of gradually building up
Again, why would you make this assumption unless you're fucking retarded?

Did, like 4 times already, it doesn't drop in quality, it drops in characters, which is probably why people would think it gets worse. Ned, Robert and the War of the Five Kings was simply too good, the characters that remained are simply not that compelling.
That's even extremely noticeable in the books, they simply don't feel as good anymore, but the writing is still pretty much the same.

This. It cemented me never wasting my time on the books. That fat fuck will die before he finishes anyway..

yeah like he timed warged the mad king with Burn them all and did the same with danny

I need to make a shop of Hodor in a top hat like the butler from Rocky Horror

Let do the time warg again

you are also making assumptions you gigantic faggot.

Bran is terrible on the throne. Its a giant cop out. The answer to the human heart in conflict is to stick deux ex machina on the throne that doesnt have a human heart.

I dont remember this in fact I kinda assumed we wouldnt get Bran povs if he became the raven. Kinda like when characters die and get rezzed.

You're so retarded it hurts

>personal attack
>no arguments

cya brainlet

>considering the number of episodes they had to wrap it up.

like they could not have more episodes because people were not watching got. Do you hear yourself?

>Aegon and Daenerys meet, both want to restore Targ dynasty
>Get married and Daenerys is expecting
>Aegon at some point realizes Daenerys is batshit insane and is slowly reaching breaking point at seeing so many people gather around Aegon praising him more than her
>Aegon kills Daenerys out of duty and realizes he was being played the entire time by Varys. Still goes along with his plan of getting rid of monarchy but does it through his own hands
>Barristan and Aegon become BFFs I guess
>Bran becomes some sort of advisor
>Jon stays dead and all of his post-stabbing scenes in the show are with Stannis

That's an entirely different thing, and it was not what we were discussing here, the bottom line is, they had 6 episodes to wrap up this years long, monster of a story.
