Can the capeshit mega-finale catch Avatar or is it too late?
Can the capeshit mega-finale catch Avatar or is it too late?
christmas rerelease
They need 600$M more so no
>more than a decade of buildup through 21 prior movies
>featuring the most popular characters in american culture
>has social media organizing planned rewatches for the sole purpose of topping avatar's record
>has the advantage of a fuckton more theaters compared to when Avatar came out
>still struggling to come close to a dumb movie about blue people
Cameron is a force of nature, if you beat him he'll come back twice as hard.
WHAT the FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please watch our film
in the end... endgame will always be.. number 2....
Endgame was a flop. It's dead, bury it.
>after a century of comics consisting characters that were based on ancient deities from ancient stories that spanned over a millennia ago
>after generation after generation of vidya, retcon, fan service, and all other kinds of marketing
>after billions upon billions of dollars spent on over 22 movies over the past decade
>after all the effort humanity put in leading up to this finale
>imagine... just imagine... it doesn't do it
>just imagine, that standalone film FROM said decade ago that began that cinematic challenge remains at the top
>imagine it doesn't break that 3 billion and become the top grossed movie in human history
>imagine, after ALL that, it STILL doesn't come out on top
just... imagine
oh wait
>Endgame will forever be known as number 2
>number 2 is a euphemism for shit
OH NO NO NO NO NO NO
Didn't Avatar have multiple re-releases?
Why doesn't every movie get rereleased?
>something that got money from scratch by 10 years of work is less deserving than literal scam scheme
Avaturd zoomers are insufferable
its not even close. adjusted is the only not retarded way of counting
Yeah, it was that good.
technically, most of them do
whenever there's special a premier a few weeks before general release the general release counts as a release for tax reason
same if it's been shown at film festivals
Most aren't profitable past a certain point, everyone who wants to see it already has.
iirc in Avatars case it was around the time it came out on dvd/bluray and whatever and people realised how shitty it looked at home, so they there was a resurgance of people wanting to see it in cinema quality again.
Course I could be talking out my ass here
>5 weeks and only 100 million shy
how many rereleases did Avatar have?
>Showing a movie is a scam
Capeshit boomers, everybody
Even unadjusted, it won’t pass Avatar.
>Avatar makes more than Endgame in practically every country on Earth
>Made roughly the same domestically ($760m and $805m in favour of Endgame)
>Fucking China gives capeshit a $400m boost
Congraties Endgame
made 10m domestic, basically nothing
some say around 20 more worldwide
it made almost all its money from the first run
>practically every country on Earth
name one
DC ALWAYS WINS, BAYBEE
But seriously tho, Shazam was better than Shitgame.
Australia 100m against 50m
France - 175m against 50m
Germany - 162m against 58m
Japan - 171m against 47m
Russia - 117m against 44m
South Korea - 111m against 100m
UK - 150m against 111m
And those are just the big spenders
>numales don't watch sports
>so instead of rooting for a sports team they root for capeshit franchises and fight over which of them makes more money for corporations
Doing it for sports is equally autisitc but its normal so no one questions it
Following sports to see which team wins a championship is an order of magnitude less pathetic than shoveling money to theaters to see which film wins at the box office.
