Just saw Godzilla: King of the Kino a few hours ago. post credits scene: eco terrorists get ghidora DNA so they probably gonna make some sort of mecha cyborg ghidora or maybe make another monster like Destoroyah. Basically confirms Kong v Zilla will be a Batman v Superman deal where after a fight they team up to take down a big bad. movie was probably the best film of the year

How does it rank in terms of other Godzilla movies

Humans were just as silly (but serious?) as humans in Heisei, monster action was the best seen on film ever

Too much family drama not enough monster action. It's a good movie, but I liked 2014 more.

Mothra vs Godzilla and GMK have better monster brawls
Shin Godzilla has way better military action

>98 Godzilla gets taken down by military
>gfans boo
>Shin gets taken down by military
>gfans applaud

He got taken down by the transportation comittee and toothpaste.

That final scene can be re-edited into a toothpaste commercial, come to think of it
>GOJIRA HAVE STINKY BREATH. USE CREST

Spoil me on death scenes, human and kaiju

who were the kaiju bowing down in the end?

Rodan and some OC Kaijus. The Mammoth like thing from Brazil, the Spider/Crab like one from Nevada (?), and a MUTO.

Not habbening. You need futurian mecha technologies to make something like that. Terrorist in shithole unable to make anti-kaiju mecha level goodness, even jaeger level one.

Fishlover dies.

Attached: 241411_1.jpg (900x506, 48K)

According to a leak the head is a red herring. It will be used to develop a Kaiju/titan-killing parasite to use against Godzilla during his fight with Kong, but the parasite would later evolve into Destroroyah

And literally no one cares nor notices, i mean srsly? Why bring her character back? Contractual obligations?

Godzilla and Rodan confirmed as frens

Attached: frens.jpg (800x600, 512K)

You forgot the giant tortoise Titan that came from under the mountain

100% they use Ghidoras DNA to help Kong. It's capeshit rules, the ape always gets electricity powers

I enjoyed the movie but I was disappointed that the monsters mostly grappled each other when fighting. There were too few signature moves/special moves that distinguished the fights, though I like Ghidorah's atmospheric divebomb

Godzilla and MUTO confirmed frens!

Attached: Muto.png (2318x1308, 896K)

>Destroroyah
Makes sense, after all, they actually used Oxygen Destroyer as missile warhead this time.

were there any Kong references?

A boatload

Maybe that was Anguirus or Baragon?

Nah, in the credits they have a bit listing all the monsters owned by Toho and it only says Godzilla, Ghidorah, Rodan and Mothra

has the scene of Godzilla voring Ghidorah leaked yet?

Really, nips?

So is the action good enough to warrant me buying tickets?
I've heard some people complaining about the human stuff as well as the action, in the same sentence even.

how much screentime do the kaiju have

Once AVGN shits on the movie, will it be enough for people to admit it's bad?

t. hasnt seen the movie

Fish bitch dies, Rodan gets stabbed by mothra but doesn’t die, Mothra gets incinerated by Ghidorah, 2 of Ghidorah’s heads melt off and the other one gets ripped off by Godzilla. Godzilla kinda dies after getting nuked by some oxygen remover nuke. The Asian man dies and the mum dies [\spoiler]

Why she was so off-putting, anons?

Attached: Asaj.jpg (293x448, 13K)

>oxygen remover
Really nigga?

I think it’s worth it. It’s a pretty great film
A good amount however a lot of their scenes aren’t fight scenes and more just them doing crazy shit like destroying stuff or showing off.

Based Ken Watanabe dies? ;_;

Spoil me on the burning godzilla form from the trailer. How does it happen?

Attached: 1559017447516.jpg (308x308, 20K)

Like original Serizawa (underwater). But this time its reversed - he saves Godzilla with nuke.

Radiation from nuke and Mothra lifeforce.

>Spoil me on the burning godzilla form from the trailer. How does it happen?

A nuke to power him up, and his gf dying to piss him off.

Imagine unirocinaly liking this. Girl told me she hates man childs who wqtch this shit, we laughed together wt these losers and fucked while her bf was watching his dinosaurs movies

GO GO GODZILLA

>Another MUTO
Wtf weren't these bitches extinct after 2014?

weak bait bro

I'm a heterosexual so I don't know who fish bitch is

Will I like it if I thought 2014 was bad?

Shin got taken out by a smart plan. 98 just got shot with missles

The mum as in Vera Farmiga? What happens?

depends on why you thought it was bad

if it was because of lack of godzilla then this movie more than makes up for it

This movie was fantastic and what fans would hope for in a Godzilla movie, although I feel the cinematography and overall 'look' of the previous film was better.

he sucked anyway

Real men are only interested in her 20 years younger look alike sister

Fried by burning RedGodzilla.

There’s no denying though that the film did a really great job at showing how fucking massive they actually are

t. hasn't seen the movie

the monster fights make up 10 min of the movie top

She creates this device that atracts the kaiju and can communicate with them, and uses it to distract Gidorah so their family and other military men escape.

Yeah, they still got the sense of scale and impact dead-on. It's just that the last movie was visually more interesting, like there's nothing similar to the airport scene or the halo jump. This one still looks great though.

>let's destroy humanity
>oh no people are getting hurt, I'll do 360 on my views

retarded

I sure hope that this one is better than 2014. Aside from the halo jump, there was nothing in that travesty that I liked. Except maybe Godzilla blasting the Muto at the end.

Any time humanity turns up as the last titan to fight alongside Godzilla is pretty fucking memorable.

almost all the reviews state how it has horrid writing with action that isn't good enough to forgive it, unlike older kaiju where the action was entertaining enough. Nice try though "film of the year" lol.

Does my love Rodan do cool shit

critics have literally never liked godzilla

funny how they forgive disney films for the same exact shit and give them good ratings though

>let's destroy humanity
Only part of it.

>>oh no people are getting hurt, I'll do 360 on my views
After she finds out that Ghidorah is an alien that will make planet uninhabitable. False king.

This is the most love Rodan has had in any movie ever. He does a lot of cool shit.

I’m glad theaters are dark, Rodan was my first fap and I named my penis Rodan when I was 8.

When he destroys the fighter jets with wings doing barrel roll, or when he eats ejecting pilot - it was badass and kino.

I can't believe I got hyped for this film after listening to you shill cunts. "They learned from their mistakes, you can see the action this time, over half the film is action scenes, godzilla fights multiple kaiju"
Fuck you, I'm still angry a day after watching it.

>That wide shot where Ghidorah does mass arc lightning after absorbing power from the substation

Attached: file.png (540x568, 430K)

They talk about Kong and the Skull Island more than one time.

Let's be real, they even talked about Gidorah coming from the stars, Lovecraftian gods will come when they will run out of Monsters.

>Mothra gives her power to Godzilla to power him up

I wanted that to happen, but I never imagined they'd go for it.

he has the best action sequence in the movie

Just saw it, fuck that was a good movie.

Where were they?

Attached: ihC930y.jpg (468x347, 19K)

>Spent the last two days watching the Heisei series in its entirety
>mfw the credits rolled at the end of Destroyah

How am I having more emotional resonance with fucking Godzilla than any other media I've consumed in recent memory? Guess I'm going to roll through Millennium, Shin, and the Legendary movies while I'm at it. Hell, I might even watch '98 while I'm at it. This is fun.

Attached: 11bq14.jpg (960x404, 40K)

Considering they had the others bow down to Godzilla at the end instead of still going rampant for him to kill at later movies, I can see most of them sticking around until there's a massive invasion of alien monsters for them to all take part in the action.

Now THAT is what I'm looking forward too for this franchise, more than Godzilla vs Kong.

Attached: 1448794596665.gif (425x425, 448K)

Are you fucking serious, Mothra vs Godzilla is fucking clown shoes

I was wondering that too, they are the most important

>not enough monster time and too much family drama but I liked the 2014 one
What? The 2014 one was monster fighting for like 15 minutes at the end, this one had monsters going at it in 20 minutes

And bot want white cock

>YFW the Monsterverse has a gritty Paul Bunyan reimagining that shows the origins of Monarch in the 1800s

How the fuck Kong have any chance against Godzilla, he is just a big monkey

Kong got more dexterity, probably smarter too considering he is an ape and Godzilla is just a lizard. If the fight was in mountains or a city or some shit where Kong can jump around and swing off shit he’d win but if it was in a flat area then Kong would be fucked

Just saw it, fuck I loved it

>that Ghidorah chanting as he was awakened
>monster screen time straight off the bat, at least 50% of the movie
>that fucking Godzilla biting one of Ghidorah's heads off
>they used the fucking Oxygen Destroyer
>Mothra theme song as she came out of chrysalis
>Godzilla revival and power up
>Godzilla stomping into Boston as his theme song played accompanied by human cruisers and squadrons of fighter jets
>Ghidorah power lines power up
>Mothra descending in heavenly rays
>followed by Rodan showing up and knocking her out of the sky
>Mothra impaling Rodan
>Mothra powering up Godzilla
>Mothra limping onto Godzilla and saving his life by flying into Ghidorah's beams

No, more like 10-12 minutes. The majority of the movie is still boring human garbage. Why is everyone saying it has "le too much monsters" when it doesn't? Shills.

I wouldn't say Shin was among my favorite Godzilla movies ever, but I'd be a fool to say it's not a great movie. I can't stand Evangelion, but Anno did an excellent job with this flick.

I would say the slim majority of the movie is possibly human only, but I'm pretty sure at least 50 minutes of it at solidly monsters. The whole human drama, as in the part where they don't discuss monsters, is no more than a couple of minutes.

Should I see it in 3D or 2D?

But it's practically Evangelion without the emotionally damaged teens. They even have the same battle music. And admittedly government officials replace giant robots.

I was shocked there was no Mothra cult or psychic kids anywhere in it

Came for monster battles, left unsatisfied because they still have painfully less screentime than the humans. Yea Forums is wrong again.

Attached: ________.png (499x499, 368K)

I just want to see them all hanging out on monster island

The last Ghidora scene was kino. The movie overall though, is kinda weak. 6/10 if I'm being generous.

Dude what are you talking about? The entire third half of the movie is the Boston battle.

This is gonna be epic.

Attached: godzilla vs kong.jpg (1200x1015, 198K)

youtube.com/watch?v=RrkzIN2eP0U
At least they incorperated the humans and the monster fights together better this time. Seeing the destruction from the human perspective was cool
however them repairing the Orca in the rain was fucking dumb

Godzilla n friends vs Pacific Rim Kaijus

Other than 2 or 3 scenes, it's pretty bad. Even when the monster showdown starts happening it still keeps getting interrupted by cutting back to the bland humans. Which makes no sense because the rest of the movie was about them already, let the fucking monsters shine for fuck's sake.

Do they show Godzilla dying, or is it left ambiguous?

Nah son, he straight up returns and goes fucking nuclear, and the ending leaves absolutely not questions about the whether or not Godzilla is alive, or a fucking boss

That user has the order of events mixed up.

fuck yeahhhh

Anyone got more pics of the new kids in town? This is Titanus Behemoth

Attached: 550EADD2-A131-45F3-90A0-DF1371D210AE.jpg (1024x535, 49K)

A gorillion

People keep saying there are cut aways user.

NO

What's the deal with Godzilla living in Atlantis?
Was that ever a thing in the Toho movies?

>government officials replace giant robots.
That sounds kino tho

They cut away one second sometimes to show someones face. Like Ghidorah gets knocked down by Godzilla when he's going to kill Millie Bobby Browns character and they cut to her face and his scream then they show Godzilla running towards Ghidorah and them fighting for quite a while, even when they cut to her running you can see them perfectly clear in the background slapping each others shit and then it's back to full view on them

It's not like 2014 when they show some power stance from Godzilla or some monster and then it's back to the boring soldier walking down some path trying to get to his family

It is. It's strange entrancing to watch white collar salarymen in suits working overtime to defeat Godzilla. For reasons I can't remember an old grandpa with a headband and IIRC a towel across his shoulder (despite working in an AC office) shows up.

The focus of the film is still on the human drama. Even if monsters are fighting it'll always cut to the humans.

>Guy who uses metal suit
>Ironman
Really mutts?

is it KINO?

Me too. Gay ningen drama ruined the movie and kaiju fights.

>human drama
90% of what the humans do are to help Godzilla, help monsters or destroy monsters. Very little human drama in that sense compared to the first one.

The last battle is less than 20 minutes. Why is this board infested with lying shills claiming over half the film is kaiju fights?

No. If anything that was Gamera's thing

What human drama? Everything the humans do or talk about revolves around monsters, except that 2 minutes the dad argues with mom about how this won't bring their son back.

Opposite here. Love Eva but Shin was garbage.

>only the last battle matter
So you didn't see the movie.

He's a big monkey that can rip off the eifel tower and ram it up Godzilla's ass.
People always say he'll stand no chance. But as we saw in Skull Island, he knows how to use weapons.

So what was the point in the movie having Godzilla get back up in time to save the wife from Ghidora, if he indirectly kills her anyway with his explosion?

Attached: wat.png (346x297, 171K)

Ishiro Serizawa dies?

Its fun, but in my language "begemot" means hippo.

They also forget that one of the character clearly said that Kong was still young. He will be way bigger in the next movie.

I've heard they made Ghidorah utterly malevolent in this movie, licking corpses? Evil three headed fuck.

kek'd

>shill this shill that
How far up your own ass do you have to be to think people are paid to convince retards on an anonymous forum to watch a movie?

>20 minutes
Sure thing. In 20 minutes Godzilla attacks Ghidorah with the US military, knocks Ghidorah down while us military attacks, uses atomic breath, Ghidorah bites powerlime and wipes out everyone with electric storm, Godzilla goes down, Mothra appears, webs two of Godzilla's heads two a building, Godzilla bodyslams Ghidorah through the building, Rodan swoops in, starts fighting Mothra in mid air, Rodan pins Mothra to building, Mothra impales Rodan, Rodan falls off, Mothra climbs onto Godzilla and sprinkles radiation dust on him, intercepts Ghidorah's attack, Ghidorah gets called away, Lava Godzilla appears, takes electric beam twice, uses Lava blasting thing twice to incinerate 2 heads, crushes Ghidorah's chest and whole city explodes and eats Ghidorah's last head after the dust clears up
Yeah, they got all that in 20 minutes. Pretty amazing.

Which Kong movie is canon with the Godzilla franchise?

It was for the child at that point, can you pay attention at the movie you watch in a fucking theater?

From what I've read, yes, Ken Watanabe nukes himself to revive Godzilla after the US uses the Oxygen Destroyer to kill both Goji and Ghidorah. This is how they find out Ghidorah's an alien.

Yes. Remember that scene where the soldiers are shooting at him and he rears up to shoot gravity beams at them? He doesn't do that first in the film, he lowers his heads right in front of them and stares at them like they're bugs, all while the middle head is literally smirking.

Yooooo bitchhhhh I’m going in at 4 as well. High 5 user let’s touch tips.

Yo what the FUCK

If what you're saying is true I'm gonna go fucking berserk at this movie.

They are even angry with each other, I think his right head is a dumb dumb

I gotta wait another day or so, I bought my tickets for the late late show tomorrow at like 10pm

user I haven't even gotten to the bits before with the entrance and awakening into the Ghidorah facility with his chanting, the Rodan barrel roll, Ghidorah getting a head bitten off then regenerating it, or the oxygen destroyer missile which isn't very action packed but a really cool homage

Skull Island

Skull Island, the one with Loki, Brie Larson and Samuel L Jackson.

The power lines melting before Lava Godzilla is a pretty neat homage to the Hesei era first Godzilla scene where he uses his atomic breath to melt the power lines and the bit in the credits about Godzilla traveling to Tokyo is cheeky

What child? They already got far away due to her driving off with it. That's not my problem with it, the problem I see is that the movie plays it up as a cool moment of having Godzilla recover right on time to save her before Ghidora can blast her... only for her to die anyways due to his explosion. Why wasting time to have her survive only to have her die a few moments later to something else anyway?

Because
>long live the fucking King

during the movie, 2-3 times.
The credit is a bunch of fake newspapers telling what the kaijus do, and then they all say what's happening on skull island.

The last thing you saw before the end-credit scene is a cave painting of kong and godzilla fighting

Guess I'll have to see the movie myself. Some say the fighting is "so so" others say it's "great". Seems like are different standards here.

Don't forget the
>What's a King to a God?
That was cool as shit

Reading this makes me look forward to seeing BIDIBIDI in all his apocalyptic storm glory. Cant wait till tomorrow.

The whole mumbo jumbo surrounding the orca as a plot device to get the monsters to fight and have the humans something to do was messy, it didn't help that they were mumbling in some of the human scenes so I couldn't understand wtf they were talking about, this is why sometimes I prefer watching it at home with subs other than that it's a great film.

I don't know how they're going to make kong and godzilla fight without it being messy in the future movie.

he is terrible in that movie

What in the goddamn...

His wife's child loved it, I heard.

Lady Bird was mediocre at best.

Can't see shit: The Movie. Jesus Christ those filters and cgi.. you cant see the size of the monster that well because there is no fucking objects to compare them to unlike the last movie did a good job with cinematography making the monsters look fucking huge.

>Yeah, they got all that in 20 minutes. Pretty amazing.
no, when you see it its not that great desu they orchestration of the scenes is pretty amateurish

Yes they did, and managed to fit in the riveting subplots of pointlessly running around the stadium as it gets destroyed to find the daighter then just give up the moment they find the orca, fixing the broken orca in a nail biting scene, driving away with quipping military man with fight in background, digging massie out of rubble buried bathtub and a godzilla 98 style car chase with kaiju in pursuit. Luckily they saved time by having supercharged Godzilla kill ghidorah in 20 seconds by doing bvs doomsdays explosion twice.

youtube.com/watch?v=YINrERKAR4A

So the left one is rebellious against the other two or just act like an asshole anytime the middle head dont order to do anything?

Faggot

Godzilla has more impressive feats.

That dating the badboy plot wasn't needed and you know it. If it was just about her, her mom, and the college plot it could've been better. An easy 4/5.

Cute

Oh, I don't think they're paid, they do it for free. That's the truly sad thing .

>you can't appreciate anything without being a shill
Based Yea Forums.

Mothra vs Godzilla is a good movie, but the monster scenes were severely limited by budget and technology of the time. The Mothra Imago puppet was just hard to manipulate and capture on film. It really shines in the few moments its completely visible during the battle, but the highlight of the movie are really the twin fairies. Ghidorah the Three-Headed Monster and Invasion of Astro Monster have better monster battles than Mothra vs Godzilla.

without a doubt the weakest part of the film
They really didn't make great use of the music

Anyone else unironically anticipating what he'll think of the movie?

Lying about a movie to hype it up isn't appreciating it.

The older movies do this too by having the human conflicts culminate at the same time as the monster battles. It keeps the tension ramped up, because the audience is wondering what is happening to the humans while the monsters are on screen, and vice versa. If it was just ten straight minutes of monsters fighting, people would complain that their brains got tired of it.

Unironically Godzilla vs Megalon.

Attached: 200.gif (471x200, 2.21M)

god i wish that were me

It'll be bretty gud. Dude is a massive fan.

Well, Godzilla didn't live there. Megalon did.

Is the music really mixed that low? The score has always been one of the strong points of the Godzilla series. The music in 2014 was just as forgettable as the Marvel movies'.

He already expressed concern over the fights being in the rain and at night when talking about the trailer recently. I have a feeling he might not like it as much as some think. He liked 98 Godzilla more than 14, and while he thought Shin was a more genuine Godzilla film, he still felt it was kind of boring/slow in parts.

To be honest James has a pretty shitty taste in Godzilla movies, all based around nostalgia. He actually likes the Post-65' Showa schlock

Bascially the exact same reveal scene as that one in Detective Pikachu

>He already expressed concern over the fights being in the rain and at night when talking about the trailer recently.
He might complain about that, but accounts from those who've seen the movie say the fights are pretty clear to see and well lit.

IIRC his Top 3 are Gojira, Final Wars, and GMK. I dont remember what other ones he likes.

Yeah. Sound effects drown out a lot of the music.

There has literally never been a woman with good taste in movies.

He'd probably have more of an issue that ghidorah has the actual power of being surrounded by a vision obscuring tropical storm, which helpfully keeps those production costs down

The monsters look beautiful when they're actually shown. I know we all want the movie to be great, but sadly it's just not. It's still comprised of human drama with little monster action. And when we do get monster action, it would still repeatedly go back to them, it's fucktarded. Godzilla vs King Ghidorah was my favorite part but it wasn't long enough and not as brutal as I hoped. Not gonna rewatch this when 97% of it is bad.

You've no idea, how much rendering those crazy particle effects and tracing all that spastic lightning takes, and as a result - costs, don't you?

1954 and Shin are the only godzilla movies worth watching.

Does it say anything about Kong

Has our king reached a verdict yet?

Is this autism?

>t. read the Wikipedia article on Godzilla

Saw the film. Not blown away but thoroughly satisfied. First Godzilla movie in over twenty years that satisfied my inner child's need for Showa-tier monster fightan. I didn't like Final Wars. I dunno why but it just didn't click with me.

At the moment I'm convinced there really is some kind of anti-shill campaign going on against this film because half the shit critics are complaining about flat-out doesn't happen in the film, and while most of the flaws pointed out on Yea Forums are accurate, they're inflated to such an absurd degree it loses credibility of being genuine.

I think there are people in the threads that unironically want the monsters doing football matches and skreeonking and reeeing at each other. Is this some furry shit?

You're clearly watching the wrong series if all you want to see is giant monsters fighting. Godzilla has always been about the human drama and the effects Godzilla has on people. Pacific Rim might be more up your alley.

You mean Gamera?

>twenty
Fifteen, my bad. I always forget GMK and the new Mechagodzilla films came out later than I remember.

>3DPD

I'm hearing a lot about the fights not being good now and too much human drama. which is different from yesterday.

No, the Muto "prime" that is in the comics is fully evolved and is orga-like in appearance.

I've seen most of them though

The humans DEFINITELY take up too much screen time but only because there's too many of them. All we needed was the family, the villain, Watanabe and maybe a soldier or two. We get an extra eight or so named characters on top of that.

People bitching about the fight scenes genuinely make no sense to me. Like, to the point I can't even address what the problems they may have had were, their complaints just don't fucking match up with what was in the movie.

I mean Ghidorah was pretty lovecraftian in the anime film

Well looks like I'm not going to watch this on IMAX due people saying how medicore it is.

Then you should know that there are movies in the series that are objectively good without having 2deep4u political undertones that make rewatching them a chore. Sometimes people just want to watch a movie about space aliens and giant monsters doing suplexes on each other.

Once AVGN shits on the movie, people will start admitting its good

Can't wait for the King fight

Japs can't say th sound so if Ure Guna say gojira them say mosura

Shin would decapitate LegendaryGoji in an instant with his super atomic laser breathe

>Wizard of Oz that high

wow, they really are shills

>Critics being disingenous
>Complaints on Yea Forums are accurate but are exaggerated to an insane degree to make the movie sound worse than it really is
Glad to hear this, the constant back and forth between the quality of the visuals and fight scenes and the numerous contradictions between shared first impressions already had me suspicious.

I was so fucking excited for this movie. It's a shame to hear that it's not very good.

Nah, Legendary Godzilla can take a nuke directly to its face and live, Shin got bled by a bunch of bombs.

Watch it for yourself then actually form your own opinion.

I assume he's going to hate the monster fights and love the human segments.

It's fucking fantastic

Bro, literally everyone is saying that this movie is shit. Everyone who saw an early screening on Youtube says the movie is fucking boring and the monster fights are as scarce as 2014.

me on the very left

Attached: goj.jpg (848x718, 145K)

There is literally more monster screentime across the promotional materials for KotM than there was in the entire 2014 film. This is just a plain lie.

You didn't read the post.

He read it, he just wants everyone to believe his words and avoid having opinions of their own.

I wonder how much bullshit they can pump into Kong to make him any kind of believable threat to godzilla before they team up against the "real" villain (Mecha Ghidora?)

OH NO

THERE GOES TOKYO

>Godzilla vs Biollante
>Biollante is destroyed
>One of the villains henchmen comes to the main bad guy and says something evil (something like the backers to this experiment won't be happy with this outcome)
>Main bad guy: Don't worry, the game isn't over yet. Sometimes you have to sacrifice the queen to get to the King
>Cut to him flicking a white queen chess piece revealing a Bishop piece right behind it, right in range with the black King piece
>Main villain: Check mate!

>Cut to the remnants of Biollante as soldiers and scientists are rummaging through the remains of the eviscerated Biollate plant
>Suddenly one flashlight comes across a large sack, almost oval in shape. Something alive is moving inside of it.
>The sack erupts open and what seems to be a deformed Godzilla falls out
>The creature seems to be dead
>Zoom in on the creatures face as it's eye snaps open and takes it's first breath of life.

>Kamata-Kun will return in Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters

Attached: e59.jpg (500x331, 53K)

>the monster fights are as scarce as 2014

what ? s.0yboys are complaining there's too much of it

>Missing a perfectly good chance to adapt Spacegodzilla to force Shin in
You failed

Will Zack Snyder direct the Kong v Godzilla: Dawn of Kaju movie? Otherwise not interested.

>liked 2014 movie
Wow, that is a hot garbage opinion there, Hollyjews blueballed the audience three fucking times in a row, and the end fight is over and done way too fast.

2014 had way less monster action. I thought it kinda clever to hide it away, it gave more impact to the later fight scenes. New movie has more battles and everything is shown. In fact the human side of the story is the weakest point, fuck them, give me more monsters.

BIOLLANTEBROS WHEN WILL IT BE OUR TURN ??????

IT'S NOT FAIR

Attached: 33290046871_7c417381d1_b.jpg (1024x664, 181K)

Well my dream godzilla sequel would be a Godzilla Battle Royal

Godzilla
>Humans made a Mecha Godzilla
>Evil humans cloned Godzilla, but it mutates into Biollante
>Meanwhile, because of Ghidorah's death, Space Godzilla comes to eath to take it's place.

Goodbye Yea Forums I'll see you tomorrow once I've seen the movie

It's about the same its just that its more overt and less frequent. Like theres a 5 minute scene of monster stuff then 20 minutes of human stuff.

Problem with Biollante is she has no flexibility. She has such a specific origin you can't play with it without damaging the kaiju's reason to exist and overall quality. Rodan is just a big fukken lizard with wings and can come from anywhere. Ghidorah is just a jackass space dragon, he could he the pawn of alien invaders, a godlike planet eater or just a big sack of dicks that likes terrorizing shit on a galactic scale.

But Biollanre IS "a monstrous hybrid made by a scientist trying to resurrect his daughter using Godzilla's DNA." How do you adapt that without falling into the same story beats?

Lol you clearly didn't watch it

A MUTO was the main antagonist in the KoTM prequel comic set after 2014. Also explained why Godzilla's spines are different.

(((Topel)))

They do this shit again? God fucking damn it

>Will Zack Snyder direct the Kong v Godzilla: Dawn of Kaju movie?
No, some guy who did the Death Note Netflix series is directing Kong v Godzilla.

To the same degree as your average Heisei movie, they do. It's frustrating but I don't think people remember it's a fucking endemic problem to most Godzilla films.

>Someone's about to get killed by a monster
>Another monster comes out of nowhere and saves them
This happens way too often, it already happened twice in the last movie.

Is it important to watch Godzilla (2014) to understand anything from this ?

Too much fake suspense in Hollywood movies. Also too much emotions for not enough build-up. It's a shame because it actually makes you distant to the story when you can't connect to the emotions the characters are having.

Does any form of the twins show up? Is Mothra able to communicate with humans at all?

>Problem with Biollante is she has no flexibility. She has such a specific origin you can't play with it without damaging the kaiju's reason to exist and overall quality

They do have a nice set up, Cranston's wife death mirror's erika's death good enough that you can play that into a potential movie

Hold on, wasn't it said that there was a 3 hour cut from this movie or something, and that it will be included in the bluray/DVD release? What if that cut ends up vastly improving the film?

No.

You could still completely change the origin of Biollante while still having the design.

I will trust you motherfucker

There's a machine that analyzes monster sounds and plays new ones to try to lure them places or make them stop going crazy, but nothing more precise than that.

It's probably human stuff, action setpieces are too expensive nowadays so they rarely cut them

>It's probably human stuff
What if it's the stuff the critics and those who disliked the film are looking for?

There's something encouraging about not just fans but also randos on the internet not giving a fuck about critics who don't give a fuck. Also the most recent box office projection that are looking really good. Even here trolls got bored or saw that no one is upset at some journos complaining that the movie isn't political.

I did. Theres literally a big chunk of the movie (like 40 minutes) devoted to humans nuking Atlantis where no kaiju fights happen.

>Also explained why Godzilla's spines are different

What happened?

Nope.

>movie states that there’s 17 titans currently known
>Godzilla
>mothra
>ghidorah
>rodan
>two mutos from first movie
>third muto
>giant mammoth
>spider dude
>apparently some turtle dude (that I don’t even remember seeing in the film?)
>Kong

That’s 11, which leaves 6 more. You think they’re previous monsters or new/generic ‘titans’ like the new kids on the block?

Attached: 7B11011F-567C-4E1C-9288-E3BF421BB678.gif (150x150, 2.39M)

Just some lore on Godzilla and nuclear radiation kaiju feed off.

They are probably all ocs, maybe one could be anguirius.

Outside of lesser known kaiju most of the ones that are left would be either man-made (Biollante) from Space (Space Godzilla) or mystical (King Ceasar)

Maybe they bought monsters from Toho to use in the next movie.

One of them was named Typhon.

Attached: Untitled.jpg (1920x1204, 246K)

I'm not sure if the MUTOs from the first movie count, since they're dead. Also, I think he said 17 plus Godzilla.

In fairness, Shin was injured by something like 900lb super-bunker busters designed to destroy shit buried like half a mile underground, and up till that point he tanked literally everything they threw at him

>17 titans
Do they in any way explain how such colossal creatures have gone unnoticed by man until only the last century or so? Like ancient humans knowing of them and making cave paintings is one thing, but at no point in the 6,000 years or so that mankind was recording shit did anyone see them?

>ievs
