Chernobyl: Poor Puppers Edition

It’s so sad when dogs die in shoes and movies. It literally makes me cry, just like the boy in the latest Chernobyl episode. There’s nothing that gets me sadder than seeing an innocent dog die. Think John wick. Think GOT, when sansa’s Direwolf gets knifed.

Some people might say it’s obvious and lazy storytelling, akin to stories about orphans or men whose wives were murdered. Such people think it’s a total cheap shot, and also probably don’t think it’s all that emotionally intense when dogs get killed. They think, “yeah, dogs are cool. But are they really so great and wonderful and innocent that it’s immediately heartbreaking when they die in movies?” Fuck those people. There is NOTHING sadder than a dog dying.

I too cried for the thirty minutes they wasted showing dogs die again and again. Much better time than showing our main characters actually do anything or show the woman who just lost her husband and baby no no instead we needed those 30minutes of dogs being shot. Great show I said it was kino on the first episode so I can't possibly say anything negative about it now.

It felt like 30 minutes to you because it was so unbearable to you to watch dogs getting shot.
I can empathize. As long as we are not shitting each other or ourselves.

Dogs are pleb tier. Cats are the patrician's choice.

Yeah, the dogs part was kinda dumb. Lots of people seem to care more about that then the people. Dogs got off pretty lightly by comparison.
Here, have some Chernobyl dog pics I took on my holiday to Pripyat

No I went back it takes up easily 20 to 25 minutes of screen time for this pointless sub plot.

Not dead, just a sleeping radioactive doggie

This is the canteen, about half a mile from the reactor. Dogs were all over the place.

>“It’s understandable. It’s your first time. It hits everyone hard, the first time they kill. Sure, for me it was another fully grown human being, and for you it was a radioactive dog, but in the end, it’s the exact same thing. Me and Olav killed human beings. You killed a dog. But the difference is completely immaterial.”

Fully agree it’s almost worse killing dogs

>discuss episode with older woman at work
>she says she turned it off immediately as they started whistling for the dogs and said "guess i'm done with that show now"
Why do people do this? They're not real.

She can handle seeing firefighters die in agony after trying to save people but can't handle a dog being euthanized. She should have her face bashed in.

I get what you're saying and I agree completely.
That being said however seeing dogs die, or just any animal death for that matter, doesn't do it for me anymore. When I watched the newest episode of Chernobyl I didn't cry or shed a single tear for the animals killed. I felt sad but that was it.
I think it comes down to personal connection because even though I don't cry at animal deaths too often the horse death scene in Red Dead Redemption 2 gets me like a mother fucker every time.
And I don't know if it makes you more immune or susceptible to animal death in films, games or whatever if you go through the loss of a family pet, and I've been through a hamster, chinchilla and dog dying.

I was half-tempted to tell her that they had to shoot a bunch of puppies and their mother at one point, but I think she would've burst out in tears then and there

/redditbyl/ puppers edition :3
Doggos are so cute guize amirite xD
Seriously
Fuck off you dumb faggoty queer, go lick your dog's balls and post about it on reddit.

This shit was utterly fucking retarded.

Dogs are innocent is the reason. They know not the cruelty, greed, and stupidity, and stupidity of humans.

r/wooosh XD

Humans literally bred the innocence into them, you dum dum.

the dog killing made rush limbaugh cry apparently

OP is clearly unable to percieve deeper than the surface.

the shooting of the dogs is showing how the people are being treated.

the dog shooting leader is very keen that no suffering is allowed - they are able to show mercy with a quick death - in comparison to how the fireman responders were treated.

the shooting of the cow was also important. dont see you whining about the cow though. or the cats.

Fuck off with this feminist fan fiction on historical events

Very believable bait, this reads like it's directly from some liberal arts college.

itt people bitching about the animal control liquidators subplot cannot see past any sort of surface depth in story telling.
Go listen to the podcast if you need it spoon fed to you.

Also the phone scene was probably my favorite telephone freak out in TV or film

yawn. where do you think the writer learnt to write anyway

>go listen to the podcast
Stopped after the first one when the writer compares the covering up of Chernobyl to Trump calling CNN fake news. Honestly surprised the show isn't much worse after hearing that.

and uh....what is liberal about that? are we at the things-i-disagree-with-are-liberal /pol/-posting shit again

im a pleb but whats the point of the people walking around spraying when the truck drives by and just sprays the fuck out of everything anyways

you're pretty good

Is she feeding the dogs?

Yeah I thought thay comparison was completely rediculous, but they do break down that liquidator scene barney style in the episode 4 podcast, and apparently the average poster here needs that

They are not innocent or guilty, they are just dogs.

>a thoughtless knee-jerk rejection of inconvenient facts is comparable to a thoughtless knee-jerk rejection of inconvenient facts

Wow what an outlandish comparison.

Dumb phoneposter

>i can lie about you but if you say it's fake you're the liar
Logic doesn't work that way

I beat you weak wusses cried during that part of I Am Legend

>Implying you wouldn't

If you were ordered to go to Chernobyl. Would you go?

Reminder to ignore all threads about kinobyl that are not /RMBK/.

i would if it was to save thousands of lives, and i would expect those in charge not to waste my risk or life on meaningless tasks

go shovel those rocks comrade incel

i would also expect not to have to do something a robot could do. so pump valve closing, yeah, shoveling rocks? nope

TFW she keep suckin but your dick skin is fallin off.
