I don't see how one can say BvS is shit and then in the same breath call Batman Returns kino. The only thing Returns has going for itself is imagery and mood. The little bit of story, character drama, and plot conflict/action is for most part boring/garbage. This is literally the exact same thing as BvS.
Synder, just like Burton, was focused on pretty pictures rather than telling a coherent story that could entertain the viewers for the entire run-time of the flick. If anything, Returns is even worse than BvS, because at-least Batman had a action spot that worked in BvS. Returns is like the most boring shit in the world to watch, its bottom tier MCU bad.

Batman Returns is an expressionistic tone poem, a dark fairy tale infused with explorations of gender, the outcast's relationship with society, and political corruption.
It does not analyze these things in depth like some kind of cold academic essay but gestures to them, adorning the film's bold operatic tapestry with them all with wit and grace. Burton constructs his beautiful images with intent - little is superfluous, everything is unified.
Batman v Superman is a navel gazing adolescent mess overstuffed unjustified "pretty pictures" that aren't connected to one another and garbled portentous speeches which are confused and contradictory. The emotional moments are unearned, the humour nonexistent, it goes on for far too long and is edited so poorly as to feel like a series of random unrelated events. No cause and effect, no sense of building to a conclusion, no tension, nothing.
Burton managed to make a scene as seemingly ridiculous as a bunch of penguins bearing Danny Devito to his watery grave deeply moving. Meanwhile, Snyder failed to make the death of his protagonist have any emotional resonance whatsoever. He killed Superman and nobody cared.

But Thanos is a better villian that the ones from that movies, IW have better characters, Thor and Tony Stark tragic but satisfying arcs, more iconic and emotional moments, the parallels between the sacrifices of Thanos and The Avengers, Thanos being practically the MC and a "Hero" is really good.

BvS ultimate cut is an excellent movie for 2 hours and a half. The last 30 minutes remain garbage and ruin the movie for me. I would add it to the list, plus Man of Steel.
I would also add Watchman. I loved Snyder's decision to contrast ultraviolence with the void left by nuclear annihilation.
