Bakugo is fucking great when the writer is not trying to make him deep. One of my favorite anime rivals aside from maybe Kaiba

>actually wins the madman
>villains capture him
>attacks the second he's free
>despite everything has some of the best grades in class
>has a bromance with the biggest bro in class (maybe tied with birdman)
>kicked Deku's powered up ass (despite it being somewhat bullshit)
The worst part of his character is that we know he's never going to be number 1 because Deku tells us so in the beginning.
