>won’t hit $3B WW
>won’t hit $2B OS
>won’t hit $1B DOM
>won’t beat Avatar
Why did it flop Yea Forums?
Won’t hit $3B WW
why not just buy a lot of tickets
who is making him watch it over and over
disney
WE IN THE SPENDGAME NOW

It will never beat Avatar.
>why not just buy a lot of tickets
they already have employees working on that
That looks like obvious b8
Brie Larson is a cunt who drove people away
I'm serious, Captain Marvel ruined it.
>cross signifying its death
>TRASH
Aptly named
please don't post spoilers
Was it just to long? They couldn’t get more tickets sold quick enough because there wasn’t enough time in the day?
Wrong, idiot
um excsue me sweaty but you shouldnt adjust for inflation
prove it
go dilate
Have sex.
I'm serious, if Captain Marvel wasn't a bitch and pissed people off, Endgame would have done better.
She drove off A LOT of people.
I genuinely believe Disney is pushing the "Endgame won't beat Avatar" narrative in the internet to make the stupid marvelfags spend more money on it
how the hell did gone with the wind make so much money
It was in theaters for a few years and constantly made bank. Rereleases occurred over the decades, and inflation adding on top of that for 80 years really explodes it's numbers. I guess it just swept the nation at the right time.
Key word is adjusted for inflation. The movie made 390 million dollars at the box office. But 390 million dollars in 1939 isn't the same as 390 million dollars in 2019.
Imagine if Titanic was rereleased every 3 years because no home video option.
It was 4 year in theater.
It's pocahontas in space
imo the inflation thing is bullshit because the amount of money people make hasn't changed
80million is possible isn’t it?
retard
I didn’t see it due to that cunt.
Facts. Also the fact that they ham handedly threw a movie after infinity war and lied to the audience about her being the “strongest avenger” and then put her in the movie for only 10 minutes
>t. still lives with mommy
because audiences back then weren't completely braindead
Who watched the sound of music the most? Southerners in the US? Northerners in the US? Some random country that had an obsession with the US civil was like the Germans seem to have with the American wild west?
>i tried so hard
>and got so far
>but in the end it doesn't even matter...
Inflation is a terrible metric when it comes to the box office, consumer good don't have a completely elastic relationship to inflation so trying to adjust movies retroactively like this doesn't work.
This also isn't taking into consideration exchange rates, Avatar came out during the U.S. recession so foreign box office was giving much higher returns than it normally would during a good economy.
The only metric we should use for calculating movie box office records is just the amount of tickets that were actually sold during the original run of a movie.
china had 1/10th the theaters in 2009 that it has now, and ticket prices themselves have risen with inflation over time
Clearly never gets pussy and never will smell or taste it.
>adjusted for inflation maymay
>le current year maymay
Endgame would be at like $4 billion adjusted for inflation. It's just not even close.
Based retard post
Ticket prices have risen but not necessarily at the same rate as inflation, a great example on that list is Star Wars. In 1977 ticket prices would range between 2.50 and 3.00 dollars. According to an inflation calculator for USD 1977 2.50 is equal to about 10.54 in 2019 and 1977 3.00 is equal to 12.65, while the actual price of the average movie ticket in 2019 is 9.01.
Additionally while China had less theaters in 2009, exchange rates massively favored foreign currency due to the recession. Great example is the pound, currently 1 pound is equal to 1.27 USD while back in December of 09 1 pound was equal to 1.66 USD. This phenomenon can be observed across most currency, the USD was massively underperforming.
Number of tickets is meaningless. Disney could sell tickets for 5000 per penny and then get the record easy. That’s basically what happens in shithole countries.
the inflation calculator from box office mojo is based around the ticket price
in any event endgame is not beating avatar so it's a moot point
hey buddy, you just blow in from stupid town?
Friendly reminder that Avatar’s true box office is 2.749 billion and not 2.788 billion as the re-release does not count. Endgame will surpass that total easily.
Sit down.
Be humble.
why do people even care?
What? You used to be able to mortgage a house working at a grocery store
haha
Cameron is a hack who has to rerelease things needlessly to bump up his numbers. He is pathetically insecure.
bruh moment
because der ewige jude has made the dollar worth 10 times less that it was back then
>5th highest grossing movie of all time adjusted for inflation is now "flopping"
nice try DCuck. Where's aquaman on that list again?
but it beats endgame either way
You still can. Just live in a small podunk town instead of in the city
People doing this shit legitamately make me sick
Gone With the Wind has sold 225.7 million tickets in the United States. And yeah, rereleases, but there weren't even 135 million Americans in 1940. Population is almost 330 million now.
Reality is that there will never be another Gone With the Wind. Too many entertainment options, and even as movies like Avatar gross tremendous sums, much of it's international, not even to mention 3D. Old epics are just in a totally different category. It's like the equivalent of when Elvis was on Ed Sullivan, and over 80% of televisions were watching the program. Entertainment is so diversified now that something can't sweep the nation like it used to. Closest we get is when a little movie like Get Out fascinates journalists into writing about it like it's some omnipresent smash when it only grosses $170 million domestically.
Lol Avatar never left theaters the “re release” was at the end of its run. Go ahead and rerelease Endgame nobody will watch it lmao
600 million in production cost after accounting for actor salaries and residuals, 700 million in marketing, theaters take half, theaters take more in China, it hasn’t even broke even until the bluray comes out
Home video
>home video
That’s it. That’s it. Nothing more complicated.
>AVATAR BEATS ENDGAME BY LOSING
t. trudeau
WATCH A DIFFERENT GENRE
t.
not subtle bait
>Where's aquaman on that list again
Right above Captain Marvel
What’s going through their head now?
Hopefully a bullet
>muh inflation
