Godzilla 2 is projected to make almost half of 2014's opening weekend and I'm sure thousands of normies that are undecided will make that choice to buy a ticket by checking out what critics are saying. Scratch that, I don't think they actually bother reading reviews. Basically, they look at a two digits % and if that number makes a freaking tomato fresh, they feel inclined to buy two tickets from freaking Fandango. Not to mention 80% of "certified critics" are pushing for movies with the "right message" and burying those that they deem unworthy/mindless. Will /ourguy/ be ok ? Can the movie defeat these odds or are we looking at the next Alita ? Will normies ever wake up ? How many TLJs they'll need to realize everything is a joke ?

Whatever happens doesn't matter, it's about us enjoying ourselves. We'll still get GvK next year. If it doesn't make enough money to get Toho to continue letting them make Kaijukino, so be it. Godzilla lives forever. Legendary's ownership of the Godzilla movie license expires after Godzilla vs Kong. Up to Toho if they want to renew or not. Though something tells me they're not too keen on the idea that Godzilla is being owned by the Chinese since Legendary is owned by a Chinese company now.
