Don't know why, but the biggest laugh I ever had watching Spongebob was when Sponge said something to Squidward, and Squid was like "I don't like your tone," so Sponge just repeated it in a sing-songy voice. Just completely unexpected.

I think that scene directly led into a cut away gag where Spongebob imagines finally getting his boating license and it cuts to a clip of a go-kart crashing. It was lazy clipping, especially where they also cut out the part where Spongebob yanks his chair back and forth to "get the juices flowing" and does a little eyebrow raising. I specifically remember this entire episode basically being gutted after it aired a few times on tv.
