Jerry is an asshole who is trying to be funny while still coming across as an asshole, which makes him look like an even bigger asshole. Larry is just a fossil who probably hasn't seen an episode of Seinfeld since The Jacket and figured the show just ran its course.

He's a rich jerk but he's pretty transparent about it. He's been winning for a long time.

It really depends. If Larry was joking then it’s Jerry who was in the wrong.....unless Jerry was also joking and in that case nobody was in the wrong. If Larry was serious and wasn’t sure if the show was cancelled or not Jerry was right.

Larry is obviously asking the question for the audience. He knows the answer, it’s just a way TV hosts flow the conversation and bring up a certain topic (e.i. why Jerry turned down another season of Seinfeld)
