Not OP, but he is correct.
All his movies and characters are very simplistic and linear. His movies feel like a child playing with toys in which he just makes them do cool stuff and move from point a to point b, for a very specific and shallow goal, in which at the end of it the whole conclusion/lesson of the story was only reaching said goal, and by the end of it the world and characters are pretty much the same, nothing changed.
