How come normshits weren't screaming when these characters weren't completely butchered due to bad writing, and kept loving and cheering the show, but the second the show doesn't give them the "khaleesi wins" ending they all wanted, they start screeching about bad writing suddenly?

Sneedlefinger

Because they were never interesting characters.

Dany was pretty much everyones fantasy, she was also generally good.

Her nephew stabbing her while she kisses him is about the biggest fuck you the writers could have given to their audience.

Interesting maybe isn't the correct term - not many people really felt an affinity towards them and their deaths were fine because ultimately they didn't(appear) to have any particular high ideal.

You realize now that Littlefinger should have survived Winterfell and ran away to King's Landing to spill all the details to Cersei and become her Master of Coin.

At least that way Cersei's posse wouldn't have just been herself, Qyburn, le ebin squidcockman, and zombie Mountain.

The roast is toast

>they weren't interesting characters

Nigger, what? Littlefinger had more depth and mystery to him prior to D&D's fanfiction than people like Jon ever did, and he suddenly became a retard because they wanted to kill him off quickly.

Stannis as a character honestly never fit in the narrative D&D wanted to tell and as a result normies never cared for him at all. His only purpose was to introduce Melisandre to Jon Snow. Normies don't read the books so they can't tell he got cucked.

Sansa "beat" Littlefinger so under that context normies were satisfied.

Literally the other way around, those two were actually interesting, while Dany was boring cliche fantasy hero, just like Jon. Except criticisms towards Dany were met with cries of sexism, while ironically her popularity was primarily to her gender despite being a boring character

Jon was boring, Dany was not. What did Jon achieve during his 8 seasons? Dany actually struggled to accomplish her goals and had to make compromises at times. I'm not even sure what the point of Jon was other than to stab her(in the show).

You missed it. Normshits did bitch about their deaths. Especially Stannis'.

The only reason anyone reluctantly gulped down the way Littlefinger went out aside from "yaaaas queens Sansa and Arya slaaay" is that people thought all the political shit had to be over. Viewers figured the last season would be just fighting the Night King and Littlefinger wouldn't really have anything to do.

Now that everyone knows that excuse was bullshit, more and more normshits are pissed thinking back. The show ending without something happening to make these shitty character assassinations somehow understandable or worth it woke normies up. Before that some people also believed they were somehow still alive. Nope!

becuase sexists and white knights thinking if they cuck to any vagina, then they'll get vagina
the irony of these shitters calling anyone an incel

They were white men.

Why would women watching this soap opera care if some middle-aged men got killed?

Omg you are so right girl, gurrl power

>Her nephew stabbing her while she kisses him
On this note, anyone else think it's odd how Game of Thrones is normalizing incest? Both Jaime/Cersei and Jon/Dany are madly in love and the show presents it like it's a perfectly acceptable thing. I mean, maybe it is, because the thing about deformed children was debunked a long time ago, but still.

I was absolutely bitching about what happened to Stannis I wanted the ending that was promised.

Danyfans and Stannis fans are not enemies we all should want the ending that was promised.

Attached: got-game-of-thrones-31640490-500-600.png (500x600, 552K)

After Jons betrayal I'm OK with this.

>thread turns into more /r9k/ whining instead of being about the show
Not that guy and they were both boring, but it's actually amazing how dull and lifeless they managed to make Jon in Season 8. He's like a sucking Void instead of a character. It's almost breathtaking.

Stannis got fucked because he killed D&D's favorite fag.

Fans of anyone else for king and queen will be burned with dragonfire to honor the lord of light.

Attached: 1558591738623.png (345x512, 258K)

But turns out Melisandre was pointless bc Jon’s resurrection was pointless

D&D want you to know that having principles and being motivated are bad and evil things. Stannis and Dany had to die. If you care about or try to do anything you should also die or get banished. Sit around and do nothing like Sansa and Bran and surely someday D&D totally promise you will win everything. Any minute now. We promise no don't get up. We promise.

Sansa was a treacherous evil cunt like Cersei but lacking even the "bad character" Cersei had.

I would have loved to see Dany and Stannis burn her.

Nobody wanted Daenerys to win the Iron Throne. People are pissed off because she went from "breaker of chains" anti-slavery innocent people matter summer child to psychopathic dictator lusting after blood and death to dead in about 60 minutes. There needed to be more time to develop and showcase her descent into madness. It fell flat.

The seventh season should have been ten episodes and should have ended with the Night King being defeated. The eighth season should have been 10 episodes and dealt with Cersei's defeat and Daenerys' insanity/downfall. People don't hate the ending per se (maybe except for Bran becoming King), they hate that there wasn't enough time spent fleshing out the character arcs.

After Stannis died I DEFINITELY wanted her to win.

>normshits
You know, everytime someone say "normies" or "normie" or "normshits", they actually mean "American". Think about it.

they're evil white men

Show-Stannis and Show-Littleagency aren't particularly good characters.

Maybe you did but the dissapointment from normies definitely isn't down to Daenerys fans. It depends on the poll but usually around 60% of viewers said S8 was dissapoiting. Dany was not very popular with normies, trust me. That would be Tyrion. Even Dany haters were let down. There were so many awful things about the last few seasons, not any one character.

I think it was legitimately the glow in the darks who did it...

The media is not privately controlled to produce quality entertainment or true news anymore its obviously coordinated to produce shit for social engineering. Stannis for all his flaws was selflessly devoted to his duty to defend the realm.

Daenerys in her flawed female way was basically the same, and keep in mind she was also based and tradpilled just wanted to be a tradwife in the House with the Red Door... never liked ruling at all. She did it because once she got power her stepping down would have made things worse. She was consistently unlike modern women are engineered to be a pretty selfless character.

Good selfless women and dutiful strong men are not allowed in the media anymore at least not popular ones. Hence what happened to them.

Attached: 1558552596674.png (1600x878, 1.8M)

I think this also, the entire plot lines and endings of Dany and Stannis were not just about subverting our expectations but subverting our desire to engage in any attempts at actual change based upon ideological principles.

Basically the entire show amounted to being about rejecting self improvement/ascension and instead to wallow in apathy.

Attached: 1556886958688.png (413x461, 242K)

>the "khaleesi wins" ending they all wanted, they start screeching about bad writing
it doesn't matter what ending you wanted, the writing was fucking unintelligent.

It's not D&D's doing. At least not directly. Trace it back to GRRM. Look at his life story on wikipedia and who he has associated with in the past. Look up George Guthridge. Look up how many people applied for conscientious objector status to Vietnam conscription got it. Look at GRRM's statements made on Tolkien's work.

You try writing intelligent dialogue about an ice zombie you asshole

Dany's ruin was more about the enormously negative feminist social engineering done to women...

You would think that the feminist social engineers should love Dany because muh strong women.

No she was tradpilled, good, kind and selfless. Because of her position was ruthless when she had to be (but probably not ruthless enough in governing slavers bay) but fundamentally a really good and selfess person.

Couldn't allow a character like that to be so popular among women.

Stannis was literally a sperg but a strong man of duty... couldn't let him remain Stannis the mannis either.

They are generic screen writers, they did the best they could with what they had. GRRM is a fucking useless fat idiot. He will never finish the series. He bit off way more than he could chew, there are far too many main/significant characters and storylines and he has absolutely no idea how they all end let alone how they intersect.

Sansa being put on trial and executed would have been such kino

90% of the time this is basically true

was he an ice zombie? was he a blonde guy once? why did the children of the forest create him? what was the crasters kids thing about? what was that scene with all of them sitting around an ice table about? is that ice castle still there?

What I'm trying to say is, as a tradesman with no particular talent for creative writing, I could have done a fucking better job while drunk.

Yeah basically this. Can't say I blame him, he probably doesn't have to work ever again if he doesn't want to. Buy his way out of his publishing contract with his fucking HBO money.

>Danyfag
>Reddit spacing
>Roastie
Get out

he makes 15 million a year from GOT alone, this doesnt include book sales or merchandise

You're right, Dany was literally a model tradwife forced into being a thankless heroine and she got killed by her nephew for it after going "mad".

Same basic plot with some variations for Stannis.

Goddamn, we live in shitty times. 10 years watching this shit and I wish I never had knowing it ended like this.

>was he an ice zombie?
Yep pretty much
>was he a blonde guy once?
Yep you see him getting created in the show
>why did the children of the forest create him?
To defeat the first men, again they explain this in the show
>what was the crasters kids thing about?
Pact/offering to let Craster live in exchange for some incest babies they could turn into white walkers. Again if you paid attention you would know this
>what was that scene with all of them sitting around an ice table about?
The scene where they show you what happens to one of Casters kids? Pretty self explanatory
>is that ice castle still there?
Probably yes, why wouldn't it be?

>What I'm trying to say is, as a tradesman with no particular talent for creative writing, I could have done a fucking better job while drunk
lol of course you could, give it a go and post your rewrites here. Might help to rewatch the show and actually pay attention first though

>went to the wall specifically intending to become a ranger
>forced to accept stewardship instead
>forced to remain at castle black when robb goes to war
>forced to remain at castle black when ned is executed
>vows tested by ygritte when he goes north
>forced to kill qhorin to win the wildlings' trust
>forced to break his vows with ygritte to prove he's turned cloak
>shot by ygritte when he can't go through with killing innocents
>chooses to stay at castle black after the red wedding
>survives thorne's suicide mission to kill the mutineers at craster's
>led the defense of castle black
>went alone to assassinate mance
>forced to ask mance to bend the knee to stannis, then mercykills him
>refuses stannis's offer of legitimization
>decides to bring the scattered wildlings back south of the wall
>forced to join tormund at hardhome so the wildlings don't think it's a trap
>murdered by his own men for saving the wildlings
>forced to finish stannis's job of retaking the north
>title of kingindanorf thrust upon him
>chooses to bend the knee to daenerys after the wight hunt

People were able to rationalize littlefinger's death at the time, partially because it was part of an ongoing saga and partially because we had all lowered expectations a little and realized he was too difficult for the TV writers to write. But I have seen multiple (two) people who re-watched the series complain that his death is really tough to believe on a second viewing.

just admit that the plot is RETARDED.

Her ending was the most bizarre of them all imo. The North just becomes independent? Because she said so? And she can just tell other lord to sit down and shut up?

Yeah no personality cuck Jon Snow and Slay Queen Dany Sue are so much more interesting

you are the epitome of the retarded audience to whom garbage is peddled and why good shows turn into garbage.

Why wouldn't every lord there just go for independence? Like, who the fuck is going to attack the vale? Lmao, Bronn with some good men and climbing spikes?

Sansa was the selfish useless cunt modern SJW character.

Plays trad when it suits her but isn't really and wants power and to have her cake and eat it too.

Literally the opposite of Dany.

It was social engineering to show her winning and the sweet selfless Dany losing.

Semifinal episode was lliteraly an 80 minute holocaust allegory promoted by a targARYAN.

Say what you want about /pol/, but we fucking warned you about them. If you legit thought two jews (one son of a banker, no less), were going to keep true to GRRM's original work, you need to grow up.

/pol here I've only been here since the awful last two episodes (and I've convinced Trump has essentially won the war).

What do you think about my theory of Dany being ruined because she a popular selfless character who originally only wanted to be a model tradwife.

Stannis was ruined because he was popular and selflessly devoted to duty.

Attached: 1558825986100.jpg (1080x1069, 345K)

They didn't care about those characters.
Dany was built up from the first season to be the special snowflake that every special snowflake should root for. They gave us a "praise her!" scene or three in every season, showing her mystifying the masses time after time. The audience was never meant to identify with her, they were meant to identify with crowds of peasants grovelling at her feet repeatedly. Western civilization is trained to seek messiahs and heros, people who ascend to power by an inherent right. We're brought up on those kinds of narratives, and we see it IRL in political dynasties and generational fortunes. They wanted Dany to win for the same reasons they want to know what the royal baby's name is, the same reason Bushes and Kennedys keep getting elected, the same reason they keep up with the Kardashians. It was her right. It was her turn.

only white characters allowed to prosper are stronk women and cucks. If you are a white male and have a functioning dick, enjoy your exile and/or mockery.

>pol here

fuck off back to your containment board you dumb monkey

I only started liking Daenerys when she became autistic femcel dragon mommy and blew up an entire city full of n*rmalfags because she didn't get her cummies. Also she watched plenty of Hitler videos just like I do, to memorise for her role. She is based!

Attached: maxresdefault (27).jpg (1280x720, 71K)

Well Dany was a strong wahmin in a sense but fat too positive sweet selfless and tradpilled a strong woman for the glow in the darks (who I blame more then (((them))) ).

But generally you are right.

Attached: 1558594532112.jpg (1024x684, 66K)

You are partially redpilled then... you didn't like Dany because she was originally another strong wahmin who wanted to help people... I get that.

What you didn't understand was that she was the wrong kind of strong wahmin to go out so popular.

I was literally about to post this thread last night but more about Littlefinger and Varys, the fact that there was no outcry when D&D butchered their characters and yet people lose their fucking minds over something like Daenerys turning bad (which has been hinted at non stop) is mind boggling

Fuck off back to a Sansa thread you SJW tumblirina.

Trump is a jewish puppet, you shouldnt support him. Also its /pol/, no /pol.

>/pol/ here
Stopped reading

Everybody knew that D&D couldn't write those characters. They just weren't good enough and we had accepted that. Dany's story was easy, simple, straightforward and popular, and they still fucked it up.

Not really. Jon sexual attraction to hear vanquished the moment he realized she was his aunt, and only Daenerys (ie the crazed mass murderer) still wanted to do incest fun

youtube.com/watch?v=3J9o10dHXB4

Attached: 1549895079801.jpg (640x539, 48K)

>Danys story was popular
why should that even come into the equation you normie fuck?

>Dany's story was easy, simple, straightforward
Was it? because clearly it went right over your head. The whole point of her character is to make us ask ourselves how much we are prepared to forgive our heros for.
Apparently that's anything when its happening to brown people in Essos but causes outrage when she enters white lands and does the same.

I think outing this hypocrisy is intentional seeing as her story in slavers bay is pretty much what America did in the middle east, GRRM clearly wrote her as a critique of the Gulf War. Dany is pretty much the Bush administration and those defending her actions there probably also cheered when America 'liberated' all those brown countries soley for their own benefit. They caused massive collateral damage, countless loss of life and left the places to return to shit after they got what they wanted. Dany does exactly the same

>subverting our desire to engage in any attempts at actual change
Damn I really felt this too. Not even bringing weird shit modern politics or crazy conspiracies into it though. But in the show it wasn't just cynical "don't bother to try because you'll fail" it seemed straight up judgemental towards the end like it wanted to punish characters who made any sort of effort or cared or worked at anything, it seemed to judge them harshly as being deserving of punishment and painful death, it felt so fucked up.

>if a character does good they cant do bad
>if a character does something good it's for completely altruistic reasons
>character development is only a one way street and doing something an older version of you used to do is negative character development

this is what normie brainlets actually believe

incest was pretty acceptable in the medieval style world GoT is based on

>if a character does good they cant do bad

I'm not really sure what you're arguing with here, though? I think if anything the characters felt flattened out at the end and one dimensional, either pure good or pure evil, which is just boring. Instead of the characters and their choices or even any external events driving the story, some outline points G.R.R.M. wrote out on a napkin and having to quickly tick them off seemed to drive everything, along with executive boardroom tested audience pandering moments, even against all logic.

A central theme of the first few seasons was how fucked it was about Cersei and Jamie. And how Joffrey was fucked had the truth come out

Because everybody hated LF, and Stannis was deliberately written as a villain in the show.
You also seem to assume fans of the show actually read the books.

Attached: chaoshisaramp.jpg (1024x502, 257K)

yeah, she's got crow's feet already

Incels self-insert into Littlefinger.
Autists self-insert into Stannis.
Normies self-insert into Daenerys and Jon.

Chads self-insert into Lyanna Mormont.

What was his ultimate goal. Where was this explained
Can they cross water or is it just westeros that is his target
Why did he pick only Castor, what was special about him, or was He taking tribute from other wildlings. Where was this explained.
Where had he been for 8000 years.
Why hadn't he attacked before
Why did he have to be the one to kill Bran, was it something to do with Stark honour
Who was the Night King when he was human? A Lord, a king, a great hero, why was he picked
Where was the baby white walker, his generals were to old to be Castors sons
How are they trained, are they trained, are they evil
Where were the ice spiders dammit

Stannis never was a ''great character'' and wasn't portrayed that badly in the series.
Littlefinger was always different compared to the books

*Dany is every white girl's fantasy
everyone else was a fan of someone else or just watched to enjoy the intrigue after their fave got killed off.

what was the point of eurons blood eye
what was the point of eurons dragon horn
what was the point of eurons valyrian armor
why didn't euron use the dragon horn
if valyria was so cursed why did jorah and tyrion just sail through it

fucking redditniggers man

None of those things exist in the show and it's highly likely book Euron is full of shit.
And Tyrion and Jorah never really set foot in Valyria or go to the places that are probably filled with demon thingies.

>they were never interesting characters.
but dany was? she was a goody two shoes who did fuckall for about 6 seasons only becoming interesting 30 minutes before she died

>her descent into madness
When will this meme die? It wasn't madness, she just realised on her trip north that nobody in Westeros was loyal to her. She would have to rule by fear instead. She even said it out loud FFS.

Danaerys was just as ruthless and ambitious as Stannis or Cersei. She posed as a SJW because it helped her get what she wanted. When the pose stopped working, her only alternative was to play hardball instead.

Becuse they couldn't remember their names.

Attached: 1558482115278.jpg (749x537, 89K)

books are different than the show, so the main question is
what was the point of this faggot post?

Underrated post, those faggots are obsessed with shilling the gay agenda and saying religion is bad so they massacred /ourguys/ entire storyline as revenge

So much this. And dubs too!

Attached: i_kekd_4.jpg (321x354, 24K)

before season 5 littlefinger was a good character

Daenerys character assassination is bigger than Stannis, they are both most destroyed character in the show though. And stop with the normies, everyone with brain didnt bought that MUH DANY EVIL!

Why did normies boycott the show over Sansa's rape even though worse things happened before

>they are both most destroyed character in the show though
Wrong

Attached: edmure cucked.jpg (1200x800, 194K)

No. Little finger never should have gone to WF and should have fortified the Vale and stayed and plotted from there.

His plot involved marrying Sansa. Riding to her rescue was just the break he needed.

Which is why it makes no goddamn sense in the show to marry her off to Ramsay fucking Bolton of all people. The whole point of his plan was to gain control of the Vale through Lysa and then the North through Sansa, hence why she's still by his side in the books.

Because Stannis and Littlegirl were just two of the dozens of middle aged guys with English accents doing shit normies didn't pay attention to or care about. The normshits were just there for titties, dragons wrecking shit, and midget saying funny things.

They tolerated it cause they thought we were gonna get a good ending

have sex, incel

For me, it was just the titties.

> they were never interesting characters

>and I've convinced Trump has essentially won the war
Whut?

None of that makes any sense of is consistent with either the show or the books, the writers say it was a snap decision and twist the narrative into pretzels to put her in that position, the only logical explanation is that she had a psychotic break

>Where was the baby white walker, his generals were to old to be Castors sons
They pursued a genocide policy on the white walkers, including the little white walker babies on their little white walker cradles.

Dany wasn't an SJW or leftist because such people are either posers or fanatics they don't genuinely care about making things better in fact they want to cause more suffering.

Dany very much (though a flawed person) actually cared about making a better world and sacrificed and risked her own interest from day one in doing so... in the books you see Dany's mind. She doesn't dream about power she dreams about being a tradwife and the house with the red door.

Neither Stannis nor Dany were anything like Cersei.

t. d&d

>she was also generally good.
She literally threatens a city to bow to her because "muh rightful ruler" or else they'll be roasted by her dragons. She's the annoying richfag in every movie. The kind that thinks they're the center of the universe because they were given, not earn, a particular set of resources, i.e. dragons. Fucking bullshit that she was ever a """"""good"""""" person.
