>cast a gook as a chink

wow... chinks will love that

>chinese character
>korean actor

Only Chinks who live in USA are autistic about these things. I'm sure real Chinks don't give a shit.

it's the opposite

That's not Brandon Lai

Right.

Rick Yune would be a good shang chi

He's a 6ft ripped asian gigachad that slams white girl pussy IRL. He's also an olympic-level martial artist, millionaire stock broker, and ex-male model. Guy has it all.

And he isn't chinese.

Neither of these are good actors. The action will be done by doubles or CGI anyway. Steven Yeun is a great actor, which is key. Watch BURNING if you haven't yet.

you dumbass that film is about asian-AMERICAN culture and singapore shits

shang chi will fully embrace all the kung fu shit and whatever chinese shit they can take from the lore. it'll do just fine. imagine it being almost 2020 and STILL betting against feige

as a chink, there's literally nothing wrong with azns gaining clout in kikewood

know your history
kikes and asians go hand in hand like peanut butter and jelly

one of the 13 bloodline jew families that control the world is a chinese kike

You don't understand, retard, Marvel changed the Ancient One because China would bitch about tibetans, and they made a chinese version of Iron Man 3 just to please their government. Do you, seriously think, they will cast a korean and think the chinese will take it? Use your brain.

>asian
>good actor

Ken Jeong it is.

>hiring an actor as a martial artist super hero
why won't hollywood hire a real martial artist and teach him how to act? isn't that better?

My fetish is massive asian men

I see its rly important for asians to achieve to fuck white girl.lmao

t. based retarded doubling down

iron man 3 was a test partnership disney was doing with DMG to see how their releases would do in mainland china. it's not about having a chinese lead or nothing, they don't cast nothing but chinese actors in everything else, do they? tibet shit is way more politically sensitive to the ccp than actor's nationality, shang chi isn't a real chinese person so it won't be controversial. if anything disney will take an all-encompassing "asian movie" approach and fill it with other nationalities too

they're not fucking filming mainland china, they'll use whatever actor they want, and then surround him with a few token mainland chinese actors and it'll be fine. if they get a chinese actor, then bonus points, but it's not mandatory. yeun is a good actor, he could pull it off. the chinese will take it, because the MCU is an established brand there vs star wars

Is this the r/asianmasculinty spam power hour?

It is...
It is r/AsianMasculinity spam power hour

>they're not fucking filming mainland china, they'll use whatever actor they want
>shang chi isn't a real chinese person so it won't be controversial.
Oh really dude? First MCU movie about a chinese superhero, their oportunity to get sweet sweet money there, they cast a korean, let's see how well the chineese take the "he isn't real" thing.

both of these have elements of truth but its also true that the anciant asian master is a stereotype that most people associate with poor writing or cliche. In cases like this its fitting to change the character and on some level it can be confused for creativity.

Can you redpill me or point me to a book or something about these families?

Out of everything Marvel has done, this is the first one that's really a head scratcher for me beyond them just trying to cash in on the asian tribalism that BP raked in with blacks. This dude is a literally who of literally whos. Like, Banner is more or less done right? They couldn't have just had Amadeus Cho take his place? I at very least have heard of his ass, AND his mom is already in the MCU.

Most of these questions answer themselves if you look at it from the standpoint that they have a few goals in mind
>#1 make money
>#2 treat the comics like the bible, they lead to money
>#3 make everyone happy
Shang Chi is a key to opening yet MORE marvel universe lore to the masses in such a way that relates back to our three goals. They wasted Iron Fist on Netflix and cant conceed they fucked that up or risk an unintentional lore crossover that contradicts itself (Which they must have realized was a logical possiblity long ago) and they are always patient enough to know the more popular a character is the more that needs to be built up to as an endpoint goal. This relates back to point #2.
