What was the best scene in this movie?

Hard mode: not the first three fight scenes.

Slugs

Fuck the first three fight scenes

Best scene is where he fights the two raid guys who respect him

Armor piercing shotgun, that was hardcore as fuck.
But nothing beats the knives

The russian orphanage that John grew up in. The grapplers were neat.

The library fight, when he broke that fuckers jaw the entire theater gasped it was kino

Halle berry with dogs was nice because of all the dog tricks. She also had some nice one-take shots that were sweet

Why didn't they show the "lifeboat"? John just miraculously escapes and gets transported to Morocco.

Body armor revenge shotgun sequence is kino

This.

The dogs were kino too.

The movie would be 10 times better if it was just him trying to get out of NY.

Halle spitting on the bottle

This. That shit was pure kino

I'm sorry, but everybody failing to throw knives at each other at a close distance was fantastic.

That one part when Bald Ninja Man sits on the couch and fanboys over John.

They never show him travelling except by foot (and train briefly in 2) and that one time at the beginning of the story in his car before it all gets fucked up. No airports or other extraneous scenes of mundane travel.

Though a (secret) Escape From NY would have been great, I'm not as disappointed in how it turned out as I would have at first thought.
"I was entertained", which is something I'll take considering the absolute state of cinema these days.

Winston's double cross made no fucking sense at all.

This. Its a little embarassing but I got a boner.

Raid on the continental, easily.

[s]Fuck I thought I spoilered this[/s]

Hell yeah! I was really fucking impressed.

How so ? He was told that john's life was non-negotiable and he was injured. He saw his opportunity. Do the way part of me wants to beieve he shot him in the back where he had the armor or whatever

The whole reason his job was in jeopardy was because he helped John in the first place. If he didn't want that to happen, and was willing to shoot him, why didn't he just do that before? The dialog made it seem like some sort of epic double cross. "well played"[/Spoiler]

The Raid fight.

The sweet hand block John does to the 2 fighting Chinese

It was like John fighting with two chink kids (Keanu is literally HIGHER than Raid guy when he is on his KNEEES BRUH), and then gets joined by Bitconnect guy.

WHAT A GODDAMN STUPID MOVIE. Thats all I can say.

This movie was The Raid 3, there were plenty. Unless you're talking about literal Prakoso/Karambit Assassin double teaming John.

When it finally gets to the end credits. They should have stopped at this one. Keanu Reeves is developing a beer gut and will be doing these movies for the rest of his life like Neeson and Willis

Those dogs were pretty badass.

Cringe. That shit sucked

God dammit you got me, the antique shop with the knife fight was the strongest set piece by far. However, and fighting the sushi chef who was his fan were very close.

Shoutout the horse and motorcycle scenes too, I know that must've taken a lot of work to choreograph, fun yet short segments.

This

A fight scene on a shipliner would've been cool, could've also added to the international lore. They could have cut the 12 minute towel head murder scene to 6-8 minutes

Haha imagine if she peed a little in it too haha gross

>liking the Halle Berry goon-rape 200-kill boring ass shit scene
>not reddit
Yuurp

The credits.

It does if he was betting on John surviving and them both double crossing the High Table

But the knives, user. The fucking knives were glorious!

>le female John Wick Mary Sueing shit up
>not reddit

I did think it was funny that a giant gun battle ensued because her dog got shot, but then I remembered how the entire series started lmao

Because he needed John to protect the Hotel, to prove that he is competent enough to make whole hit team of high table dead

He likes John, but he loves Hotel more, he nearly lost it once cause of him, he's not gonna risk it again

This shit is just porn for dog moms who will die alone

The only part of it that didn't make sense was him not shooting John in the face but instead opting to just break some ribs and force him into a survivable fall.

Kek

>the table is looking to kill him
>oh well gee, you came to the desert, yah you can have your job back, no problem
>continental is being invaded
>goons are wearing armour and we literally see them calmly reloading while regular guns arent doing shit
>oh, but john's guns are lethal
>you come to casablanca, knowing I will kill you since the table is looking for you
>so I'm going to let you live this whole time to talk to me in exchange for one of halle berry's dogs
>the escape from casablanca is dragged out for like 20 minutes and its almost entirely guys vaulting out of cover for no reason to get shot

this movie was shit

Okay this thread is epic, upvoted for based JW3

Except that's the part that doesn't make sense.

Winston wasn't expecting to get completely fucked by the high table for not killing Wick and giving him an hours head start, if he had just shot him when they were in front of the adjudicator he still would've lost everything.
The power play of holding the Continental and getting Wick to fuck their shit up was the only way he was going to survive long enough to get a parley, and maintain his position.

>continental is being invaded
>goons are wearing armour and we literally see them calmly reloading while regular guns arent doing shit
>oh, but john's guns are lethal

Except his guns weren't lethal, hence why he had to concuss the shit out of them. Or are you expecting bullets to do nothing to a person simply because they can't penetrate? Or do you think that close-range with fucking 12-gauge slugs isn't going to do anything to some thin steel?

john was getting right up to them and shooting them in the neck, fine. But half the time he was just running from cover firing desperately and still knocking them on their ass(so he could run up and shoot them point blank)

>even Yea Forums likes John Wick
Is this the most universally liked trilogy ever?

>even
Yea Forums is producing all John Wick merchendise.

Yeah, because there's this wonderful thing called physics.

Go wear some body armour and get hit by a few rounds, particularly in the head. You're not going to be standing.

There's like a whole bunch of those intact super armor left behind. I'm surprised John didn't suit up.

As shitposty as this seems.. Yeah.

I loved John Wick one. Choreography, longer shots showing that. Simple, small world. Ton of cameos. John Doesn't fuck around, and it doesn't have anime ninjas.
Second strayed, but was still decent in some ways. The catacomb club shootout was fuckin good. This ones getting a bit over the top. I know, it's a movie. But the first one was praised for breaking the habit, and not being an over the top action movie.
Simple.

it not a trilogy anymore

Why is this hard mode when Halle Berry's dog fighting (heh) was easily the most interesting fight in the movie?

Attached: KeanuHalle_Getty.jpg (775x515, 51K)

In that case anyones gun should be functional.

/k/ is bitching about the whole armor thing again but I'm bitching at the fact that it took John way too long to figure out that it was literal super armor and he didn't say "Wait. His neck should've been shattered by now. Maybe I should change tactics" sooner.

Is John Wick series basically just an english version of The Raid?

They should be yeah, which makes that statement all the more retarded.
The issue with people getting shot wearing armour isn't that they should still be standing, it's that they should be all kinds of fucked up.
Wick getting nailed through his thin bulletproof suit all those times in the space of a week would've made him fuckin' wheelchair bound if not dead.

People criticize it for being slow but imo it was best action kino of last decade, far better than first two. Every fight had some sort of interesting gimmick, whether it was dogs, knives only, bulletproof special force etc. And paid tribute to classic action movies, especially ones involving Bruce Lee. Every single fight was nicely shot and choreographed (which makes the movie better than second part) while the cinematography itself had stunning visuals and lighting (which makes it better than the first one). Yeah story is as simple and silly as always but that was never the point of those movies and once you do beyond its ridiculous concept you actually start enjoying it. I loved that movie.

This.

Also, I had to take a piss since the Morocco scenes but kept it in because I was afraid I would miss a scene as good as the library and antique shop fights. Turns out these fears were unfounded.

when he dies

the fight against the bald guys 2 henchman looked awful to me, like awkward wrestling

almost like he wasn't really trying to kill him

I thought from the comments on Yea Forums it was going to be great, but i thought it was mediocre, oversaturated at times sloppy with hints of unexpected and trife comedy

Knowing he was infinite ammo godmode wasn't that exciting

It was too drawn out. Basically just eye candy for Raidfags.
They were not fleshed out as characters, just random mook A and B, so 20 minutes of Wick fighting them just looked shit.

Well that's sure going to be awkward when Wick puts a bullet in his skull for double-crossing him, emptying a mag in his chest and forcing him to fall off a quite high roof.

he's probably going to have some note from pigeon guy showing they planned the whole thing

I mean I thought that was the whole point of showing wrestlers in that Bulgarian ballet school. John utilizes hooks and grabs through whole trilogy and this was a small glimpse into his training background. Yeah I had my concerns about Keanu simply being too old for action scenes, especially after second JW, but I think it kinda works. Like it was obvious that those two raid guys were going easy on him out of sheer respect (they even helped him to get up when they could obviously kill him right there). That's the whole point of John though. He is an old, washed up guy who fucks up everyone through sheer willpower.

Eyeball
>nah they're not gonna show it.
>oh shit.

Attached: 1466914290325.jpg (252x234, 29K)

It wasn’t half as good as the final fights in the Raid 1 and 2.

>Sorry I damn near killed you trying to get my position back, it was all part of the self-serving plan that doesn't make sense any other way

>and this was a small glimpse into his training background.
Except he's clearly using old style Jiu Jitsu and Judo, not Sambo.
