No, but as a guy who does buildouts as much as service calls I woulda thought there'd be more chances to install state-of-the-art modernizations in my very commercial city. However I soon realized that the county approved "energy saving devices" don't do squat, none of the major commercial real estate owners (think skyscrapers) keep up on regular maintenance because it's "too expensive", people use the same shit the did 20-30 years ago because traditionalists can't let go, and every one in every trade is lazy and quick to pass the buck.

My best friend was working in carpentry and construction since he was 16 in high school and didn't even complete a full year in college after graduating to focus on working more and more at a really good construction company which eventually paid for his travel expenses (gas, hotel fees, rent money, food, lodging etc...) and now he's a foreman at 32 for another company.
