It's basically modern Superbad. If you hate that movie you'll hate this one too. Overall I enjoyed it - at first the characters really annoyed me but I got the feeling they're supposed to be really naive stereotypes who sort of fall out of that by the end.
If you like Superbad you won't like this because you'll just wish you were watching Superbad.

I don't know if that's necessarily true. I love Superbad and I've seen it a bunch of times; so it was nice to have something new but similar. Not suggesting this is superior though.

Just like a real life perpetual third wheel friend, the kind who never has his own best friend and is always just the tag along with a few other circles of friends who tolerate him because he's kinda funny sometimes but in the long run is just forgotten by everyone. I liked it, it's a good comedy. But like all high school shenanigans-ensuing comedy it made me depressed because I didn't do anything fun in school nor did I have a best friend that I was in sync with, plus my grades were shit so I'm this dumb friendless loser and these movies always remind me of that yet I still watch them
