From what we've seen so far it's clear that it looks more impressive. he didn't get "stuck" with anything pleb. Gareth's design is good, but obviously it needed some tweaks to make it great. So Dougherty made some tweaks. He made the spines shaped like the 1954 ones, the tail tip was cut off to make it more rounded, the toe claws were lengthened, and a few slight proportional changes were made. Nothing too major but enough to make the design perfect.
