No, it’s what I’ve seen firsthand whenever Americans travel overseas. British guys tend to be more sophisticated conversationalists, more charming and personable. Even the stupid american girls are always taken with that, partly because it’s been memes so hard over the years that Brits are smarter. That isn’t necessarily true, but well-spoken and interesting? Yes.

Which is sort of not surprising when you consider the value of charisma, facade and persona in attracting a member of the opposite sex. Ugly people have no option other than to become great actors.

People often say the same for comedians, the "comedy", comes as a crutch for some other developmental problem.

It's genuinely why Hollywood cinema is so awful. Full of wannabe models who think putting on different dress, squinting, and speaking in a funny accent makes them a decent actor. And it's also why "method" actors, and the people who go to such extreme lengths to develop a persona for a role always end up feeling so contrived as a result. They have to force it.

That's not to say there aren't ridiculously good looking, and brilliant actors, or even scum who rise to the empyrean echelons of Hollywood without having so much as a decent acting bone in their entire body. The former are most often closeted homosexuals, and latter are predominantly nepotistic Jews.

I'm neither a britbong goblin nor a burger mongrel so i can say, objectively and unbiased, UK Office is better than US Office in every regard and you need to drown yourself if you think otherwise.

US office was actually on its way to becoming something decent after the first season but like almost every american show it started turning the characters into parodies of themselves

American writers feel the need to appeal to as many people as possible
also the 20+ episodes per season really fucks with writing
it's a shame there isn't smaller studios that are willing to try things that are a little out of the norm, adult swim does this a bit but overall I'm not too into the humor of that like absurdist sketch shows
