This movie is so cringeworthy

This movie is so cringeworthy.

>all those extras jumping around and dodging Batman in fight sequences cause Nolan can't choreograph worth a shit

The entire film is a mistake, why does this even exist

It's a literal B-movie with a blockbuster budget

They agreed to finance Inception and interstellar if he agreed to do TDKR. He personally didn't care though he did put some interesting themes despite that. I didn't like the hand to hand combat scenes (with the exception of The first Bane fight). I though the movie was good. I would watch it over most capeshit today.

Do disney shills turn on their bots at the same time every day?
go watch the avengers for the 15th time

Yes. They have a set schedule. If user doesn't shitpost xir doesn't get paid.

I've literally not seen a Marvel movie since the 1st Avengers came out. Oh and Deadpool.

>Inception and Interstellar
Meh... probably wasn't worth it.

>w-why arent they dancing around like its the matrix?
its closer to what a real fight feels like, it was trying to be more grounded

>Meh... probably wasn't worth it.
Considering they are one of the few top grossing non-franchise movies in the past few decades I would say for the studio it was definitely worth it.

That and they're pretty good films(albeit with recognizable flaws) and they lead to Dunkirk which is definitely worth it.

>Dunkirk
This was trash. Absolute junk. How can you like it? Interstellar was leagues above it.

I like TDKR but the fight scenes lacked quality with exception of the first bane fight which itself was mostly good because of the no music atmosphere and the monologue.

Nolan is extremely careless with extras and TDKR was the worst example of it. It looked very obvious that he didn't care as much for the film.

>realistic
It was Star Wars prequels tier. The bad guys jumped around awkwardly instead of shooting at Batman when they had plenty of time and opportunity. It was cringeworthy dogshit.

Hate to do this, but Batman v Superman has Batman fight scenes done right. That part when he takes down the kidnappers? Best Batman fight in film history.

i cant read, i thought this thread was about batman begins

Begins had better fights although too much shaky cam.

TDK was better than both, by a mile. But BvS is the best. Is that Batfleck movie canned now?

I disagree, I think in this movie Nolan is emphasizing the richness of individual and subjective experience of seemingly impersonal and overwhelming historical events. These varying perspectives are chosen for their contrasts, in order to illuminate the fact that there's no master narrative, but hundreds of thousands. Triumph mingles with tragedy, meaning becomes relative to perspective.

See, in most movies of this sort, the soldiers floundering in the water, the little yacht collecting survivors, or the fighter plane zooming overhead are effectively background fluff, throwaway elements of the mise en scene. Yet in this film they're imbued with character and meanings of their own which imparts a greater weight to events unfolding before us. So, instead of rote action set-pieces played for cheap thrills, we're watching a tapestry being woven, the epic become intimate, and vice versa. The film really is a masterpiece (did it win an Oscar for editing? I forget. If not it's the crime of the century).

Also it always surprises me when people ask why did Nolan go with mixed up time lines again again with this film when it was absolutely a perfect choice for the message he was trying to get across. I mean war films despite their technical quality very rarely do something unique these days and I think Dunkirk deserves praise at least for bringing something unique to the genre.

It doesn't really hold up does it. Still enjoy it though

I take issue with it because it's lies. It's a complete work of fiction but claims to be true to the events.

I mean two different issues. Begins had less shitty extras and the flaws in choreography were hid by shakey cam but shakey cam itself is highly disliked by a lot of people.

TDKR shot hand to hand combat the way it's meant to shot clear, steady with a lot of wide angle shots but those exposed the many flaws in its poor choreography.

I mean most war movies had fiction blended in(I doubt Saving private Ryan actually happened).

Or do you have any issues with the politics of the film? I am guessing you don't like it being portrayed as a military disaster for Britain ?

Nolan is a gigantic hack.

Mainly with those bullshit acts of heroism that saved them. The only reason they got out was because the Germans didn't want to destroy them, meanwhile this movie paints it like the Germans are mouthbreathers and it was the Brits genius that saved them.

>The only reason they got out was because the Germans didn't want to destroy them, meanwhile this movie paints it like the Germans are mouthbreathers and it was the Brits genius that saved them

I am confused, we don't see the Germans at all
until the end nor do we know why they stopped the attack. There was very little commentary on the Germans or their attitude. The movie wasn't complete with heroism.

The only truly heroic character in the hollywood sense were Hardy's character and the small boat owner. The soldiers were shown as panicked kids desperate to survive.

The Germans weren't shown to be some cartoonist evil force or incompetent. They were just the "enemy". Nothing more and nothing less.

I mean one would think this is a movie wehraboos and neonazis would appreciate.
