The whole point of Peep show is a tragic comedy about two men who absolutely refuse to undergo any type or personal growth and them dealing the the negative consequences of it. If the writers do the series justice at all it will have some fucking scalding commentary on the state of the modern female.

It's closer to fifty fifty and whatever the overall make-up of Northern Ireland its specifically about Catholic Irish girls, set in a Catholic Irish neighborhood.

Thinking Derry Girls is textually British because its set in Northern Ireland is like watching a movie where the hero is a native american and acting like its about white people.

I did when it had David Fincher (although look how House of Cards turned out). Gillian Flynn is still an amazing writer, and both Gone Girl and Sharp Objects were really good. So I'm still holding out hope. A psychological thriller about malevolent, Machiavellian people is something she has already done really well, and with the original to crib from hopefully at least the first season will be good.
