Just saw this. It was pretty good. Literally a 90 minute pressure cooker.

Got a little bad by the end though. That new character popping up already by the end of the movie was really annoying. The guy himself was aannoying as fuck.
Does Pattison basically just do whatever he wants now? He got so much money from shitty twilight movies.
Yea the ending was really rushed. I felt like someone just cut the last 30 minutes of the movie.
This was such a pleasant surprise. Originality is rare these days. Also gave me feels. 8/10
Really fucking enjoyed this even though the second act dragged a bit. I found myself on his side I'm some moments while also hoping he'd get fucked up beyond all recognition in others.
8/10 film
Safdies have a new film coming out this year, starring Adam Sandler. It looks kino.
Damn. That's really me on the left.
>It was pretty good.
Uhhhhh- WRONG?!
It was KINO ART
This is the movie that convinced me that Pattinson is actually a top notch actor. He was also pretty damn good in The Rover but the movie kinda sucked.
>But the movie kind of sucked
Based. I really thought I was taking crazy pills thinking that. It was really underwhelming. Pattinson however was excellent.
I just watched it yesterday and It was just a boring ass film not enough dialog and no action. Guy Pearce was the main character and only had like 5 lines of dialogue.
Pretty much, he's on the Leo DiCaprio trajectory now.
GOAT soundtrack
Couldn't agree more.
The Rover was pretty great atmospheric thriller, he is also good in Cosmopolis, Maps to the Stars, Damsel, The Lost City of Z and High Life.
DiCaprio mostly works with established well known american directors. Pattinson not so much.
>The Lost City of Z
Is this any good?
>that guy holding the mic
Wasn't he the deaf guy in Good Time?
Oh really? Is it literally this you sack of shit??
Yeah he played the retard brother he’s also the director
>the deaf guy in Good Time?
this makes me think that you missed the part that he was mentally handicapped, the whole premise of the movie
It's good if you like James Gray films. Don't expect Indiana Jones or something like that. It's more of a character study, although Charlie Hunnam is not that great in it. It also has a clunky script and structure. Feels too long and too short at the same time. But it's worth a watch.
Yes that's Benny Safdie. It seems that he is not only director and actor but also boom operator.
yeah Pattinson is too busy doing pleb bait for basedboys
That.... looks kino. And like a Good Time.
Looks like more sleazecore kino from the Safdie BROS.
Not really. DiCaprio makes oscar baits with oscar baiting directors or with hacks like Tarantino and Inarritu. But you are right Pattinson makes films for based people. He at least works with interesting upcoming directors and some already established foreign directors. DiCaprio always picks safe roles. He doesn't work with some upcoming directors, who would be helped by his presence. He is too afraid to be challenged.
Feels: the motion picture
>A24
They actually wanted to do this before Good Time but they couldn't get money. Then Pattinson called them and they developed project with him, which became Good Time.
Pattison actually has to work hard to cultivate an image as an actually good actor after Twilight gave him a bad reputation, meanwhile DiCaprio was the star in the highest grossing film of all time and got to pick whatever he wanted and shout his way through every role.
>$100 million from the Twilight movies including $25 million from the last one
Yes. He's financially unburdened and creatively free.
>When the shiksa escapes your jew dungeon without paying the exit fee surcharge
I’m pretty excited for The Lighthouse
Both have plowed through largely quality projects, it's just that Leo did more mainstream films whereas Pattinson went arthouse. Although Pattinson does now have that Nolan and that Batman movie in the works, which are more on that scale that Leo goes for.
Agreed, it's just shame that he picks such safe projects. He works with Scorsese, Tarantino, Luhrmann, Innaritu, Eastwood, Nolan, Scott, Spielberg. All very safe choices, now after Del Toro won an Oscar so he will work with him. He should pick some more interesting directors.
what did he mean by this
>Yea Forums
>deep web
from memory there wasnt much of a story
couldnt believe it had really finished when it did
it's slice of life kino user. that's the point. it wouldn't have the same tension if it had regular plot points and arcs
>watching films for story
You are doing it wrong.
Bump
Pattinson aged bad he looks like shit in this movie
based
>Pattinson aged bad
He looks good, better than in Twilight films
>he looks like shit in this movie
That was the point, so he did a good job.
>Trying to make kino with Adam Sandler as a main character
These guys really like challenges.
>Good Time
>it's actually quite sad
Sandler can give a good performance when he is properly directed. There was a clip that leaked from the film and he seemed like he was playing young Al Pacino.
>not enough dialog and no action
Hello pleb!
Connie fucking over Crystal was stone cold.
9/10 had a good time.
He played the system, filled his wallet and spent the rest of his days in kinos.
The fact that he's doing capeshit either means he thinks the new Batman movie will be excellent, or he just needs to refill his wallet to keep up his one-man Golden Age
Who else has done what Pattinson did?
Matthew McConaughey?
If you liked this movie you'd love "Adventures in Babysitting"
Garfield went from Spiderman to Silence/Hacksaw Ridge, albeit not nearly as well as Pattinson
Adam Driver has done similar and he's not even free of his golden goose franchise yet, I expect he'll do well after Episode 9
dude whats wrong with his lip
it was a fever night, there is a complete life being lived out in a single night
how do you miss a story like this
adam driver has always done good for himself
the ending of this movie was absolutely kino
Don't worry user, I'm not THAT retarded.
lol no he has a lot of wrinkles for 33
does he drink and smoke a lot?
/ourguy/
he looks like a goddamn God what are you on about
are there any other films that come close to being as genuinely pulsating as this? this movie is like an actual experience
Oh hey Kirsten. How have you been?
I find most Sidney Lumet films like this, never ending building suspense.
Watch Fail-Safe
>dude blue and pink neon
Get off refn's dick safdie
and red
Fail-Safe is serious kino.
This whole scenario was nuts.
>ywn be low inhib enough to act like Connie irl
Was it ever explained why Trump is so obsessed with Robert Pattinson?
He's a grade A patrician
It hurts, bros
Because he has a great taste.
>tfw was raised by confident, intelligent family and was naturally low inhib
>they were too narcissistic to teach me any social skills or how to behave
>shamed and ridiculed at home constantly which made me deeply insecure
>autistic behaviour lead to bullying, gossip and ostracism which gave me bad anxiety and wrecked my confidence around people I didn't know
>made bad choices in high school due to never having been given the perspective to know better
>ended up dropping out in shame and becoming a shut-in
>tens years later still in the same place and suicidal
h-he's just like me
>watch Good Time
>cringe in my seat every time Connie does something so daring and against the law because i could never do it myself
Connie talking to the cops in the hospital, blatantly stealing the wheelchair, actually robbing banks and shouting at jew lawyers; how does he do it?
The biggest cringe was when he kissed the black girl. That was extremely uncomfortable.
the biggest cringe was when he didn't fugg her
>fucking a black girl
No.
I don't care how nice her feet are, cheating on based Patts in unforgivable
Wtf is sandler shooting a rich vos biography?
This.
watch punch drunk love. adam sandler could be a good actor if he wanted to
I would also chase qt Pom down a street this way. Highly sympathetic main character
He was also good in Meyerowitz Stories. It's shame that he is so lazy. On the other hand he just goes on holidays with his friends and makes shitload of money so it's understandable.
anymore "bad day" kinos like this?
Only one i can think of is Falling Down
>Literally
Am I the only person Yea Forums that knows what words mean?
Yes you are literally the only person on Yea Forums that knows what words mean
After Hours
Driver is a pretty talented actor, him and Channing Tatum were both outstanding in Logan Lucky. They nailed the West Virginia accent, way too many movies go for a Savannah or Charleston one and call it a day.
Yikes the CRINGE haha bruh.
>literally
I don’t think you know how to use that word.
Damn. Looks like Yea Forums still has a high concentration of literal autists.
formerly figuratively
the flashback scene is unfettered kino. Good Time is up with my favorites
its shit
Hello hipster
...
Was the actor that played his brother actually retarded?
No. He also directed it with his brother.
fuck you im googling it
holy shit
He also was boom operator on their new film. here he is, behind Sandler.
Actually believing this retarded self-serving narrative
How about you stop blaming your "upbringing" and take some responsibility?
Improve your social skills, work out, read, be friendly
I just saw this last night. Probably the best movie I’ve seen this year so far.
>Yea Forums is good
>Yea Forums is deep web
dude is more retard than me.
Lol
Didn’t Pattinson turn down dating a an Instagram thot or something like that?
So was he gonna fuck the thick black jailbait? And then just walks it off? If I got c-blocked like that I would kill somebody.
Connie's probably laid miles of pipe on thick black girls before. It was just a mild inconvenience for him.
nice
>not fucking black girl
Look at this /pol/fag.
I admire what he does. Consistently makes movies that earn more than they cost, gives his friends and other people work and he spends most of his time with family making sure they are happy.
This is going to be more sleazekino, isn't it?
This is what a movie directed by a literal, actual Yea Forums poster looks like.
>gets filthy rich making shit movies with his friends
>occasionally makes a kino
Sounds like the dream life desu
That guard will never be okay again.
Scene made my jaw drop.
Great movie, great music too
And his shit movies are really really bad, but so bad that they kind of seem like cinematic shitposting, come to think of it.
Fun Fact: Adam Sandler is actually a Republican.
As are a surprising number of SNL guys (Dennis Miller and Victoria Jackson to name a couple... keep in mind how often 'uptight' progressive types are the villains in SNL-related movies).
Great soundtrack.
Anyone else get the weird feeling Pattinson probably browses Yea Forums? He just has that air about him.
You're right, I do
>doesn't have any social media
>browses Yea Forums
seems about right. Hello Bobby
Why does the President of the United States turn into a teenage girl when the topic turns to Robert Pattinson?
Trump unironically has good taste in film
He's my favorite film reviewer
youtube.com
trips confirm
There fucking terrible, but the worst kind of reaction they ever get is "oh, a new Adam Sandler movie." Not actual disdain, just a complete lack of interest.
