dunno lol

>SEA EVIL
What a great tagline.

don't know laugh out loud

I used to always try to avoid looking at this cover when I saw it in Hollywood Video and Blockbuster, it scared me.

for me? It was the cover of jack frost

Good flick, cringy ending though youtube.com/watch?v=xuXCMgqKqIk

Was that really the music they used? And is that Quinn from Dexter?

This and that one with the guys face made of other faces

I bought the DVD when it came out, invited a girl over to my house to watch it. She ended up leaving halfway through and I just went and jerked off to the topless scene

Yes and yes

Somebody got paid tens of dollars to come up with that

Certainly not this. Though the two flashback scenes were total kino.

I remember watching this because I heard it showed boobs.
It wasn't worth it.

May I recommend you a kino that has boobs? Bird Box

For me it was the cover of Evil Dead 2

I like the flashback scenes but otherwise this movie is total crap.

God you're a pussy

I just remember the wires snapping at the beginning

the horror twist ending where heavy butt metal plays over the credits is a guilty pleasure trope of mine

I'm on the same boat as you, buddy. There's a fucking boat and it has a skull face on it?? That's spooky as fuck. I can't deal with that shit. I had to run out of my house when mom rented this dvd.

Are there any other ghost ship kino? It's the spookiest trope I can think of

scared the shit out of me as a kid

There's a blatant lack of good ghost movies taking place on ships, especially on water. Event Horizon I guess is more about demons but ghosts/demons is all the same to me IMO. But it's on a space ship.

Watched it by myself in the cinema the wire snap in the intro was great and Byrne was as good as always, over all kinds sucked but that intro, damn

What was this expression meant to convey?

smelled a bad fart

Absolute fucking kino.

The only remotely memorable parts of that movie were the scene with the wire and the scene where the ghost leads the black guy around.

>black guy dies second after the beaner

Gotta love old horror

The diver/engine scene had me nope the fuck out
Now I find things like that morbidly intriguing, there isn't enough films where people get destroyed by industrial machinery

They used the song multiple times througout the film, I'm guessing that the director either really likes mudvayne or there was some sort of promo deal going on.

>Ghost ship
>Signs
>Deep Rising

I was so scarred that horror movies do nothing to me anymore.

this movie scared the FUCK out of me when I was a kid

is it as good as I remember or is it actually garbage like I think it might be?

Garbage. Children are very impressionable creatures.

I only watched the intro I think. But dude that wire scene fucked me up as a kid.... Yikes

I don't even know if I saw the whole movie, just the intro. I think what happened is they let me watch a bit to see how scary it was but then I got traumatized right out of the gate because they couldn't find the remote to pause it.

I remember not being able to sleep in my own room for weeks.

THIS NIGGA GOT A BOAT ON HIS HEAD

I didn't realize that was him until years later.

As a fan of Mudvayne at the time I found it funny how they literally had to edit the song. They had to stretch the bridge out to keep it going until the credits ended.

Brbr deng

13 Ghosts cover still scares me

Honkey what

Any suggestions?

Good movie

It was great fun, started off pretty dull but got crazier and crazier after the half-way mark

Ghosts aren't scary. If ghosts exist it means the afterlife is confirmed to exist, which completely eliminates the fear of death.

>If ghosts exist it means the afterlife is confirmed to exist
>if X then Y
Learn your fallacies please

If life after death exists then life after death exists

Films of the early 2000's were absolutely riddled with nu-metal and the like. Just look at Freddy vs Jason soundtrack lol

House on Haunted Hill (1999) was legit damaging to a 10 year old.

This. Mr Skeltel was too spoopy for me

I was at my grandparent's house when I was 5 and my family were watching this but I wasn't allowed to watch it so they sent me into the other room where I watched some sort of horror comedy hood movie while my grandpa was asleep. All I can remember about it is that the main nigger is a vampire and there's a scene where he's washing his car and his hand flies off, and another one where he rips someone's heart out by accident or something. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Could be that vampire movie with Eddie Murphy but I ain’t seen it.

yeah that's probably it, I had it in my mind that the lead was Eddie Murphy but I couldn't remember his face in the movie at all desu

I saw this at the cinema and the setpiece with the cable dismembering people is literally all I can remember of it

>I just went and jerked off to the topless scene
>I remember watching this because I heard it showed boobs.
It had boobs!? I don't remember that at all!

IIRC there's a scene where some dude is seduced by the ghost of the ship's band singer and while she's taking her top off it goes all Shining and she turns into a withered corpse. Could be wrong on that, I can literally only remember that, the cable scene and the scene where the rice or grain or whatever they're eating turns into maggots

This is the answer to OP's question. the movie needs to be remade by a competent writer and director. The idea has so much potential. Maybe as a Netflix show or something.

This movie is so fucking stupid, I love it.

>that haunting scene of the girl hanging with her ghost standing in front of it
KINO
Was that the peak of the horror genre?

Peak 00s

Here's one that is underwaterrated.

Attached: Belowposter2002.jpg (499x745, 45K)

Unironic numetal in movies, especially horror at the time, was such an amusing trend. Underworld was pretty kino though.

>movies he wants to watch
>boats

That bitch on twitter was right

This isn't Blackbeard's Ghost.

John Carpenter's The Fog counts, right?
Freddy vs Jason

>Netflix

Fuck off

Ironic considering it's already a remake.
