Clu was such a great antagonist. He did exactly what he was programmed to do and was only "evil" because of the short-sightedness of his creator.

I really liked how he created a turn in the tide with his very presence and Michael Sheens character literally deflates in fear.

Reminded me of Neo from the Matrix but more refined. Like how just a gesture shuts everything down and how some of the programs literally fall to their knees in prayer. Dude really is a kind of god there but isn't shooting lightning bolts out of his fingers either. Subtlety really is the best way to display exceptional power.

No matter what Yea Forums and the redditfugees say, Tron: Legacy is one of the best sci-fi movies made in the 21st century.

The implication there was that Clu was still a child in heart and didn't understand he was actually just feeling jealous and came to his own conclusion that the people taking Flynn's attention were imperfections. It was less a shortsightedness and more an issue of Flynn being a bad father and abandoning/forgetting his kids when they should be his top priority, all he had to do was notice Clu's confusion was caused by emotions and to teach him about them.

Watching this movie in 3D was an absolutely kino experience. The way the flick moves from 2D to 3D during the scanning sequence was so amazing and almost experimental. The old film masters would have been proud.

I remember seeing it four times in theaters. We went as a group on the last day it aired in 3D after smoking a blunt in the parking lot. I’ll never forget it

The biggest flaw I can remember this film had was that the actor for the protagonist was so absurdly generic.
Other than that it was alright.

I saw this movie when I was living in japan far from any big cities on a rare trip to a big city and saw it twice in two days. Real treat and fond memory. The theater was squeezed into a cramped tall building in a packed Osaka neighborhood, so it took several escalator rides to get up to the screens. I believe the churro I had not so good.
