Their scripted stuff is inconsistent and relies too much on gamer references, which doesn't give people who bankroll movies faith in their ability to make something original. Their audience isn't big enough to justify slapping their name on stuff.

Mega64s content is 90% podcasts now, which have also gone down in quality

It's a shame all the old podcast clips were being taken down, especially with no notice or warning. I'm unsure if it's Youtube's fault with new policy and trying to avoid controversy causing them to remove videos or if them just wanting to distance themselves from their early 20's edgy phase.
Regardless, some of their early podcast were crazy. The Bernie Mac episode, faircasts, early christmas casts. Great stuff.
Thankfully there's still the podcast archive which still has a lot of this stuff, but something tells me it's only a matter of time before they remember it exists. mega64archives.github.io
