DESU I preferred Aliens as a standalone movie, although I like the idea of the creature more in the first movie, and Alien Isolation is better than any of the AvP or Colonial Marines games

you'll see how the alien's acid going through metal in the ship is actually going through polystyrene, and the amount of digital displays that are drawn on using sharpies

Alien DC is honestly crap, it kills the pacing and obviously has the shitty picture quality. Scott himself said that the Theatrical is his definite version and he only made the DC cuz Fox wanted a special edition for the re release in 2003 iirc

Alien + Alien Isolation is the kino combination everyone should get to experience at least once.

I finished a long playthrough of Isolation on hard and then I watched the original Alien immediately the next day and it felt like I was watching a movie adapted from a video game. All the sound effects, the music, the art style.. amazing.

That's because they used film, not videotape. The 4K is probably a remaster from the original filmstock.

Same thing with the Aliens DC. All of Cameron's Directors Cuts are trash actually.
