No, the series just went into development hell and they’re probably going to reboot it at this point
narnigga lol
Silver Chair is coming out in a few years, directed by Joe Johnston.
Apparently new adaptations of the series are going to Netflix. I hope they don’t fuck up the source material
>started the cinematic universe on book 2
OH NO NO NO NO NO
I went to see this shit in the theater and at the time I used to get sick really easily, I got sick because it was loud as fuck and had to puke, my mother had to go with me to the bathroom and then she got angry with me because she missed the part where they kill the Lion
>Netflix
fuck
>Christian allegory isekai
book 1 is irrelevant to the larger story as far as I recall from a middle school reading 14 years ago
Narnia is one of those things where I honestly believe dialing back on the Christian themes would improve the work, it was so heavy handed even a devout Catholic like Tolkien had to laugh at it. Stories like The Last Battle are utterly inexcusable.

I am not!!!
Can’t break his balls no more, maybe you haven’t heard
>started the cinematic universe on book 2
What? They did lion witch and the wardrobe first which is the first book.
who gives a shit about narnia
I'm shocked they managed to make even three of those
The Magician's Nephew is chronological the first
How did they get away with it, anons?
its confirmed
lotr>narnia
catholicism>anglican
The Magician's Nephew is bonkers and would be a bizarre movie. Plus I sort of feel that watching Narnia's creation story would cheapen the later movies a bit. Sort of takes away the mysticism and the unknown of that world when the kids end up there in Wardrobe.
>chronological
Yea but not the first book is it
The Horse and His Boy would make an excellent standalone film, but is undoubtedly too obviously opposed to Islam to get any funding at this point
Lucy was a perfect cunny
Not the first one published but the first in the series
>The Last Battle
Almost Raimi tier
Did they release three of these
Movies
>when you watch Star Wars you should start with episode 1
Nah, fuck off
in the bbc series?
narnia is the whitest shit possible. only whites, literal MAYO cracker ass caucasians love narnia. not to mention all the christian themes
not surprised it got swept under a rug
The other books are too religious and pro white for Hollywood Jews.
The books aren't very good.
feels like the entire world just forgot about these movies despite them being pretty big when they came out. i only saw the first two though.
I read the first book and thought it was a charming adventure, and didn't like how disney made the movie like a generic version of lord of the rings more focused on battles and melodrama and shit.
kek
saw this in the 90s. then again 15 years later after I saw the hollywood version. god it turned to shit fast. but only due to the low production value. it was like watching the worst witch and expecting it to be like harry potter in terms of production value
I was literally pointing out that they shouldn't even adapt book one into a movie
1:57:57 and onward is hilarious. aslan looks like a fluffy prize won from a lucky spin wheel

It's an inherent problem with these movies that the books are so slender as to require significant additions to get them up to an acceptable runtime. That's not an insurmountable problem, but those additions seemed to get more and more weird and out of place, especially once we got to The Dawn Treader.
every easter and christmas they aired that here, so I've watched it many times.
