Shazam

modern movies have been so shit this is my best choice

The Travelling Players

new movie?

I've only seen Mortal Engines, Alita and The House that Jack Built, and the choice couldn't be more obvious.

Alita?

The Lighthouse

How was it? Were you at Cannes or what?

The Other Side of the Wind.

this movie sucks

this movie wouldve been so much better if lars wasnt such a edgy tryhard, just have jack behave like a terrible human being or some depraved drug addict instead of going on almost comical killing sprees

>buying into the LVT meme.
Truly plebeian

Guys

What are some actually good science fiction movies from before the 90s

ANY DL LINK BRO?

Try one of these.

Definatly The House that Jack built. My new favourite movie.

blade runner

The three Veerhoeven movies are amazing:
>Starship Troopers
>Total Recall
>Robocop

Any other Arnold movies to reccomend?

Probably The House that Jack Built too, although I really liked Glass and Kamikaze Girls to a similar degree.

Was thinking more like some of the lesser known ones as i have seen much of the famous ones like blade runner and 2001 etc.

Based

black coal, thin ice. but it's from 2014
from this year i guess it would be polar, and that wasn't very good

The boat girl's tits were pretty nice

>dark humor
>divina comedia
>architecture history
what more could one ask for?

nah, alita is a 5.5/10 at most. It's the LVT, a clear 7+/10 and probably the best kino of this year

Alien

2001

I really enjoyed both OP's pic and Under the silver lake. Also really liked Halloween.

Now that's some shilling.

Subtlety.

Watched it seven times in the theaters, the only cinemagraphy in that scene is worth for the whole movie

Captain Marvel and The House That Jack Built

an odd mix but ok.

Biggest piece of shit

>LvT
>subtle
He always hits you over the head with his themes.

i have noticed that unless you are an absolute hack both subtlety and in your face over the top work just as well but in my opinion you have to be really good to make over the top shit work , case in point every hack indie film director goes the subtlety route.

tell us what you think the movie was about then

You have to be really good to make both of those styles work. They both provide different experiences and one is not better than the other i would say. It just depends on the film.
