A shit film
it isnt worst than get out but is bad.
again he tries to do something with big brains and fails miserably.
try to adjust the constrast on your tv screen, because - UNIRONICALLY - its hard to check out lupita facial expressions.
It’s kino but if you take it as an allegory. If you think about it too much you start to notice the plot holes that come as a result of the two big twists.
Otherwise, fantastic cinematography, acting, and soundtrack
Kek
bunch of niggers barking around, one of them gets whacked brutally
Watched it last night. I think the movie would've been better if the main family was white.
Really, really worse.
the cinematography cant be good if i cannot understand the facial expressions of the star of the movie because she is black and its dark.
seriously: its basic shit: if youre filming black people on a dark enviroment, find a way to be possible to make the audience understand what the fuck is going on.
the hack cant imagine a white guy being the leading role of his movies - wich is fine - but cannot film a black person right? cmon.
and i didnt understand the allegory, would you mind to explain? it felt confuse like it was the message of get out: whites who ignore race are bad, whites who dont ignore race want to steal you beautiful black body.
here is what? we all have a dark side?
Get Out, while not great, is 10x better than this piece of shit flick. Its like Jordan Peele pulled the unfinished script out of M Night Shymalans garbage, uncrumpled it, and made an entire second half that makes ZERO sense. None of it makes any sense, really, and it has some major pacing issues, as well as being all around irritating because absolutely nothing is explained in any meaningful sense. Its just a poorly thought out, nonsensical shit show. Dont fucking watch it.
It was like an extended Twilight Zone Episode.
And I haven't watched that show since the shitty space episode. He's washed up now anyway
It's worse. The big tweeest Is obvious as fuck from the get go, but the explanation of the main problem Is retarded and oozes tryhard social commentary, which will make a 16 year old edgy nigga proud.
Please explain the allegory, I want to believe this thing wasnt an exercise in pointlessness. When I watch films I never look at my phone, but during this god awful mess I was desperately counting down the minutes of its runtime. From the moment they get in the car it is absolute dog shit, filled with completely irrational actions, terrible dialogue, moronic coincidences and all around laziness, aside from production which was decent. The soundtrack was so pathetically in your face “oh wow creepy choir singing solfege syllables, so creepy! oh hey a fucking marimba that sounds vaguely African because thats how we do haha! Haha hey Fuck the Police yeah!” The culmination of the entire thing is a horrible repetitive orchestral “arrangement” of that I Got Five on it song, rapidly cut with some dance rehearsal that the protagonist did over the top of a lame ass boring “fight”, it was like McDonalds in film form. As the film goes on Nyongo over acts more and more, when she kills her doppleganger its actually laughable. Idiots might watch it and be entertained but anyone actually trying to care about it left completely unsatisfied.
wich is the premisse of get out.
what bothers me is how vast the hype becomes, how hard the media try to turn this dude into a mastermind of horror and suspense.
he did two movies that are dumb and pretentious but you could tolerate as this guy and their crazy dumb movies with confuse messages but fuck it, he isnt that clever, just a bad comedian, whatever.
but no: they gotta put these shitty films into a some insane level of cinematic and cultural achievment.
its pathetic the levels of this clown world, it really is.
> it fails as an allegory, since the message doesnt come up clean of even able to be discussed
> it fails as horror/sci fi, since the premisse and development of his concept is simply retard
> it fails as plot twist since it was obvious that is was what it was
turn off your TV's auto-contrast bullshit.
My take-away is that the "tethers" represent "the hood"/lower class that the main character has escaped from. The problem is that it's muddled all to fuck at best, and terribly amoral and psychopathic at worst, because it never really invites the audience to feel much in the way of sympathy for Red, and continues to treat the dopple that stole her life as somehow justified in all she did. You get to the end expecting some ominous stinger that never comes.
Get out is just mediocre
Of course something can be worse than mediocre
love the insightfull social commentary about the white man boat being better.
imagine being black, coming from the worst continent on the planet, having a decent life on US - a life that blacks all over the planet cannot even dream to have - and the director makes this bold statement about how black boat his worst than white boat.
how stupid and superfluous and materialistic and insentive with the blacks who had to eat some stuff made out of little insects that they turn into mush or literally cookies made out of dirty and mud. "MUH BOAT".
pathetic.
Another thing - can anyone explain to me why Peele made "Five on It" such a pivotal, recurrent part of the soundtrack? Please tell me there was a deeper reason beyond the melody if its hook being sort of spooky because it's in a minor key.

> jurassic oj simpson joke
> whites unable to demonstrate any shred of empahty
the same movie with a white director would be praised like this is? we know the answear.
> imagine that RLM love it.
>how hard the media try to turn this dude into a mastermind of horror and suspense.
I've argued with some anons on Yea Forums who don't consider Get Out a satire and claim it's proper horror.
I think Peele makes great stuff, entertaining and quite fresh - love his work. That being said, i fucking hate his work because i browse Yea Forums and it's expected of me by the great hivemind to hate him
I *thought* we were going to get some sort of commentary on the nature of false faces, the face we show to the world versus the one we hide, and possibly some examination of how you can try to abandon an identity, but it's still a part of you, but why would expect such profundity from "the new Hitchcock?"
We got some anemic jabs in that direction, but none of them really connect.
bad but the dance fight scene is genuinely fucking kino
soundtrack in that scene was goat
choreography was goat
camera work was goat
editing, also goat
The allegory is that there's an underprivileged class in America that normies live in ignorance about. They are viewed as monsters but they are People, Too™.
It's not super deep, but that's why it's not easy to miss, either.
Your TV/monitor is one piece of shit
But so are the ones used by 90% of the audiences, noticed this shit too during GoT 8-3, everyone was buttblasted that it was literally black, while I could see basically everything I wanted, but when I saw my mother watching it on TV is was literally like playing an audio file through half the episode
the only redeeming thing about this movie.
Yea Forums should honestly love Get Out.
The message isn't "racist wypipo" it's critiquing the very SJW culture and fetishization of niggers. It ridicules kukkoldry and reveals how people like the Dad in the movie are the worst kind of people.
If you watch it as a comedy with suspense elements rather than a "horror" film, it's way more enjoyable. Leave your agenda out and you'll enjoy the film a lot more.
