I don't think Upgrade is low budget but whatever. Here's a 10/10 in similar budget range.
Piercing. One of the best horror/thrillers this year
and here is an actual low budget 10/10
3 million wouldn't cover the catering on most hollywood movies these days.
Kill List
The Standoff at Sparrow Creek
Blue Ruin
Green Room
Here’s a low budget and GOAT film recommendation. 4 million dollars is low budget yes?
Elizabeth Shu should have won Best Actress imo
This is the one where an AI assumes control of his body right?
Not in a holistic sense either but instead his arms and legs go flailing around like a puppet.
A bit silly but honestly I wish that were me.
Sure, it seems the definition is
>a motion picture shot with little to no funding from a major film studio or private investor
It is. It's not too bad and had some kino scenes, very predictable though.
>hacker says "don't let them win" before leaving
>meant to believe she's talking about the cyborgs chasing him
>earlier in that scene she tells protagonist "don't assume my gender"
>she knew what the AI was planning and was referring to it as "them," gender-neutral pronoun
Pseudo-intellectual garbage. Rick an Morty tier faggotry
based
She could have just turned stem off.
Then she wouldn't have gotten paid
And that is why they/them are dumb fucking choices for a pronoun when referring to a single person.
If she'd said IT everything could have been just fine.
Its hard to take cash from a quadriplegic?
this is a cashless society we're talking about bro
stem would've canceled the paypal transaction
Have sex

COLD IN JULY. An instant classic. Just finished watching it again on Netflix. Hadn't seen it since it was released in 2014.
Jesse V. Johnson's "Debt Collector" and "Avengement" are very good.
Debt Collector feels like the GTA film I've always wanted, like a mini-side-quest sort of. It's short, it's straightforward, but it crafts such a colorful world of characters and events while never wandering off its red line and main story. It's really fantastic.
Does someone tie you to a chair and make you watch it? When will you see it 4th time?
He has cash. She even remarks about it having people on it.
that doesn't make any sense
Oh fuck this is good! Only later I realized it is based on Joe R. Lansdale novel, a great horror author
What's the cut off for "low budget" these days? 5 mill? 10?

Such a craftmanship in DTV release.
And as far as 'Avengement' goes - Johnson's "Cain" (character) is the John Wick I wanted John Wick to be, just pure blackhole of destruction, unrelenting (until the final moments where it thinks it needs to soothe the viewer, which is a bad decision imho).
Recently rewatched John Wicks and I'm always disappointed that he isn't portrayed as such, but as emotional and goodish guy (relatively speaking, of course)
>Debt Collector
In what way? Its set in the near future, the majority of people use cashless transactions. She's never seen real money before.
I watch all movies more than once if I dont like them. I try to watch it until I like it, even if it takes 3 times.
Both shot in 18 days for $150,000.
Huh, that sounds horrible but to each his own!
