Ayra and Jon are the closest siblings in the books. In the show they have four scenes together, all of which is basically “wasup?”

Why do D&D hate Jon and Jonarya so much? And to think, Ghost never got to see any of his fellow direwolves again. He's gonna die a virgin having never knotted Nymeria.

Yeah, it sucks but even in its good years this show wasn’t good at getting characters together though.
Also, people shipping Jon/Arya was a bit creepy. Even if Gendry was the same age as Jon
Dany did nothing wrong! Th-those people were already on fire when she arrived!
Can we all admit the show’s quality dropped like a lead balloon in season 7?

>>The lone wolf dies while the pack survives
To be fair, the full quote is
>When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives.
Since Winter seems to be over now, life's started to sprout even North of the Wall and apparently the area around the Wall used to be nothing but green until the Walkers were made, the pack can disperse.
*complaining
I can forgive season 7 because it made me finally start to like Dany
Are there more of these?
Dragon Demands says their scripts were always full of immense infodumps/flowery descriptions in notes despite the lightness of the dialogue.
>Also, people shipping Jon/Arya was a bit creepy
Are you calling George creepy? pic related
>GRRM
>Not creepy as fuck
Remember everything from Jon not sleeping with Dany to temper her crazy, Varys suddenly trying to depose her, Tyrion being an idiot, and even Danys death is part of Lord of Lights design.
All to revive Dany as his herald in Volantis. Drogon the fire of R'hllor made flesh.
Wasn’t there something Jamie said about the Mad asking thinking he would be reborn in the wildfire as a dragon?
AAAAGH /ecg/
>Have you ever seen a dragon's erect cock, Jon? It's truly a beautiful thing; all those colors and girth. You could have a feast on top of it if you aren't first inclined to feast upon it yourself. Mmm. I imagine there will be merchandise in honor of it someday, but you betrayed me, Jon. You see, after the red priestess revived me, she told me I could repay her with the blood of a king and Drogon is terribly hungry, I guess you could say. You are my king, Jon. Now, and always ...
>Are you calling George creepy
>Over half of the sex scenes are with underage children
>The other half is rape or incest
Yes user, GRRM is a weird fuck
Would you like a spin off with Jon, Tyrion, and dany flying with drogon over essos on each adventures?
He thought he'd survive burning Kings Landing while everyone else died
He thought he'd be fine if he set off all the wildfire caches and burned the city to the ground because they had woken the dragon
>Everyone kept insisting she would only ever see Jon as a threat and would never trust him.
>She was so thirsty for his icy dick she not only offered him to rule as King over the world, but never has her guard up since she's just that thirsty.

>Dany did I ever tell you about the time I gave away the Reach to some random sellsword who threatens to kill me? He was a good friend.

ep06 feels like it was written in order to troll people that wanted an actual finale. you could possibly say that about all of s08 but the only thing decent about ep06 was Daenerys speech. everything else was the worst kind of fan fiction.
Pls ignore that the only thing that came from Jon being part Tar was gaslighting Dany to go crazy with justified paranoia.
Nothing cool. Not even a pet Rhaegal st the end.
All I want for Christmas this year is a syringe filled with heroin, cocaine, and poz nigger semen. I would slam that bad boy into my veins and experience the ultimate suicidal white sissy dopamine rush, ideally while I huff black men’s sweaty undies and sit on a twelve inch long hyper realistic black dildo. I am just imagining that toxic cum burning through my circulatory system like acid, everywhere powerful African virophages penetrating and impregnating weak little white blood cells, converting them to black superiority, programming them to mutiny and kill their pathetic white faggot host. Nigger semen coursing pumping through my head, soaking my stupid sissy brain in black cum, colonizing my mind, black sperm fucking their way into squishy white neurons, hijacking me, deepening my abject surrender to niggers and their big black dicks. I would just moan and stroke my soft white pee pee while a single potent nigger load ruins my life forever

showfag here, redpill me on young griff
Imagine how Cersei felt the moment she became Queen of the Seven Kingdoms.
Imagine how she felt after having a miserable life consisting of being married off to a fat loser and being treating as nothing more than a hole, being bitter because you don't have the same benefits a man has in society, having shitty incompetent children, and being constantly mocked by your enemies like that stroke victim bitch and the dwarf faggot.
On top of that, being stripped naked and publicly humiliated in front of the whole city.
She endured all that and more.
So I want you to imagine. I want you to imagine how fucking smug and proud she felt when she became Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. I don't think anyone has ever felt so smug before. She is the Smugest Bitch of the Seven Kingdoms.
She is a fucking she-warrior. A fucking Warrior Queen. That's what she is. The Queen of Smug.
Nothing will ever come close to her level of smugness. Don't even fucking try. You are men, but she is a Woman and she is smug.
>They cheered when robbs body was danced through the streets and his ashes spread in a dog kennel
I know the show hasn't done a great job lately of establishing a sense of scale and location, but how could you possibly get the idea that this took place anywhere near King's Landing?
Kings landing got off easy. Should have salted the earth so nothing would ever grow there again.
He claims to be Aegon, Rhaegar's oldest son will Elia Martell, but he's probably a fake, because Dany has a vision of a "mummer's dragon" in the house of the undying.
He's likely based off of this person:

>when you're so cucked your house sword couldn't even be the one used to pierce Dany.
Of course she'll come back, user. There's so much left to be burnt in this world, and so few willing to do it.
She loved her children except Tonmen.
One of her problems with fat loser is that she couldn't even have a non-incest child since her Robert baby died.

They were a threat, but Bran had his full transformation to fuck them up by setting up Arya to do the deed.
Bran, not Jon, has always been the chosen one. Proof is that he's the only character whose ending was spoiled to the publisher/editor in advance, and the book begins with him watching an execution and being told one day he'll have to decide on exact justice and lord over things.
Holy shit

aaagghhhh...
would you support a "Aegon the Conquerer" series with Stephen Dillane as Aegon?
The Old Gods via the TER vs the Lord of Light.
Only one shall reign, and the Lord of Light spares Winter and Darkness of sin so they can cull the Old as Fire bombards the world with purifying radiance.
pray for Dany. pray for sex and G-D and sex. Rhllor may be a bastardisation but he's the best GoT has. those who understand will understand.
Aaaaaggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I still don't understand why Robert's facial expression changes like that after Jaime says Aerys' last words. Did he understand what had happened?
WE WILL NEVER BE SLAVES
BUT WE WILL BE CONQUERORS
Life
You're assuming they aren't one of the same and the TER isn't just an embodiment of the Lord of Light. Bran's entire thing is that he simply gives people a push and guidance and lets them decide to fall or do depending on their own choice. That's very much a godlike role.
YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE
>daenerys does literally nothing wrong
>"she must be a fucking psychopath, I have to murder her"
>Daenerys becomes paranoid because people are trying to murder her

Then she burned down King's Landing for no reason, proving them right. But it doesn't change the fact that everyone turned on Dany for literally no reason, beforehand.
Praise the messiah of the Lord of Light! Long may she reign.
Prepare the Lannister troop sacrifices for the pyre.
Why do asses matter if girls don't get fucked in it?

AAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHH
Based Dany out for Lebensraum
Some of the greenscreens this season were just horrific. I dunno what went down in post but it really seems like people often had no idea what the fuck they were working on.
It was a bit overdramatic, but I think the intent was that Robert understood that Jaime didn't kill Aerys for self interest.
how have the faceless men not fucking killed arya yet? jaqen must have been in a conspiracy to train arya for political reasons in westeroes, otherwise he would have killed her the moment she walked away.
It's been an honor
Faithful...enlightened...ambitious... brethren... In but a single decade, a few mere swipes of the pendulum, we have gathered a sacrifice to R'hllor that will be made legend.
Though it was a simpler, weaker voice that illuminated me during my centuries upon Meereen...it was R'hllor's messenger who showed me the true path of freedom from my pathetic beggar brother. And what is this path? This meaning, this purpose to which we gather the skulls of our foes?
It is nothing. There is no meaning, no purpose. We murder. We kill. It is mindless savagery, this UNIVERSE IS MINDLESS! In mere hours, millions will die. Innocent! Guilty! Strong and weak! Honest and deceitful! ALL of them! They will scream, they will burn, and for no purpose but that mighty R'hllor may revel in their bloodshed! And united in this void of purpose, fear, or duty... we shall at long last be free!
Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne! LET WESTEROS BURN!
I want to believe.
WE COULD BE HEROS
Gaslighting someone into being crazy can make them do the crazy.
Ironically despite everyones insistence she would seek to murder Jon she even gladly wants him to be her equal as King of the world together and share in how they are outcasts, despite everyones insistence otherwise. She's so thirsty it ends up not working just for that specific case.
So do we agree that the essential watch order is S1 through 6 and just ignore 7 and 8?
they're a sign of health
The one thing that seems to be jon’s “Reason” for killing dany was she was a threat to her sisters. But Sansa and Arya have shown no signs of being disloyal to the crown. Arya didn’t even give a shit. Sansa said in episode four that the north will honor their allegiance to the queen of the seven kingdoms
There is purpose. You are cleansing them of sin. Of the evil that pervades their flesh and leaving only the pure and innocent bones.
The skulls offered upon a throne of bone and fire as the sun rains down its light upon it. The heavenly seat that R'hollor herald on earth acts on his behalf.
I like to stop at season 4. Season 5 with the stannis and dorne shit just fucking makes me mad
She seemed totally in love with him in the end, I don't know why she didn't just try and marry him, she left daario behind specifically for that purpose
Cute Dany makes season 7 worth it.
Also the shameless way they ripped off the WotLK cinematic will never not make me laugh.
Well I never said he wasn't gaslighted either. They both were.
Her to be crazy and Jon not to stick his dick in it and to murder her. They both were lead to ruin by those around them that they shouldn't have trusted.
>thirsty
making it all about that. only men think this way
>Jon not to stick his dick in it
Did the show even fucking explain why he didn’t want to fuck her?
They could've retired their. If D&D hadn't assassinated her character and made it so the only thing she had anymore was her search for the throne instead of a house with a red door
Reminder: EPISODE 6 IS FANFICTION.
Dark Dany and Dark Jon are conquering Westeros RIGHT NOW.
If Serpiente Rojo wears yellow, Serpiente Verde should wear blue. Or rename him to Serpiente Azul.
*there
Hey do you have a table of profile pictures of dany from each season?
Incest.
That's how D&D think.
I think you could easily solve her murdering King's Landing just by having civillians sadistically murder her girl when Cersei tosses her to them for entertainment, while her baby boy Rhaegal gets murdered above the city.
Would be pretty interesting seeing Jon embrace his targ side
Muh incest
>la barbacoa
my sides
>Reminder: EPISODE 6 IS FANFICTION
Seasons 5-8 are pure Benioff fan fiction.
Pretty sure D&D explicitly say it is the incest aspect in the behind the scenes stuff. Good thing there was no way for them to convey that within the bounds of the show.
BENEATH THE GOLD THE BITTER STEEL BROTHER
Christ
There was literally nothing wrong with it. What the fuck?
No, he just kinda stopped and started repeating that he doesn't want it, he never has and she's muh queen. We're just left with Varys asking if it's common to marry your aunt in the North even though Starks have married uncles before and a Karstark in the books is set to marry a man she regards as her uncle.
The writers are hacks. You're pretty much just supposed to apply 21st century morals about why they need to stop fucking and turn your brain off for why they never discussed marriage themselves before they found out who Jon's parents are.
>Pretty sure D&D explicitly say it is the incest aspect in the behind the scenes stuff.
You know your show is shit when the audience has to watch behind the scenes episodes and books to figure out what the fuck is going on in the plot.
Fucking based
Take me back to the good ol days lads
>tfw never finish your sentences with Emilia
youtu.be
I feel like kit might've fucked up choosing Rose over Emilia desu famalam
It can't be helped.
You see the Writers forgot how they said Dany is not her Father. Just like they said Dany Forgot About The Iron Fleet.
Or we focused on Arya the Goblin in Episode Five and her no longer wanting revenge because they wanted her running around like a baby being scared as she's shit her diaper. Because focusing on civilians woulda be lame!
>Rheagal isn't shot down Jon hears the bells suddenly visions of Ned being killed
>Remembers Robb
>Looks over to Dany they share a look then smile
>You see the Writers forgot how they said Dany is not her Father. Just like they said Dany Forgot About The Iron Fleet.
This is the main reason I believe the books can not end at all like the show.
Reminder they planned to make her pregnant this season.
Help fAegon is coming for me
>we wanted to focus on the civilians being effected this episode
>we wanted to focus on a protagonist on the ground so you care what's happening to the civilians
>*next episode*
>"Giving the filthy peasants a vote? Hah, fuck them! Also we forgot about them lol"
There are probably a dozen different ways to get Dany to burn KL in the books, and they don't all have to be because she lost her fucking mind. There are probably a dozen more ways to get to Jon killing her. D&D are just hacks who needed Jon to be able to kill her without looking like a complete piece of shit for doing so.
Because Dragons are viewed as fire made flesh and Drogons been not subtly implied to be fucking smart because he understands symbolism behind fucking sword chairs and is explicitly heading for the heart of the Lord of Light religion in Volantis that are pro-Dany and can resurrect her with Red Priest mojo precisely due to her overlapping with the will of the Lord of Light.
They not so subtly imply that there's a connection. Bran meanwhile wants to take the reins of Drogon before the dragon does whatever he's planning because he can't see it. For now
She could burn down the city completely by accident in the books. Say she torches one building as a warning shot, but turns out there was a wildfire deposit there, and it fucking explodes and spreads.
>mfw Jon bends the knee to the Starks even though they ruined his fucking life again
If you think he would have preferred living with a ginger and Ghost over fucking his hot aunt obliviously in a still-standing King's Landing, kill yourself.
Based
The Bells are some of the stupidest parts of that episode.
They don't ring for surrender in Westeros. That's only in real life. Yet now hey do because they forgot the small details GRRM would have remembered.
sorry but if you think fucking emilia is hotter then rose leslie.... I think you might have a thing for guys
Is it me or can pic related pass for a pudgy Darth Sion?
So, the real reason people are hating on the ending is because “muh domestic violence”?
She was crazy all along, just like her dad. How was that not clear?
Reminder
Thing is, it wasn’t even the 180 people say it is. She had numerous lines demonstrating her willingness to burn and kill those who opposed her.
>Arya
>teleports around a sea of white walkers to kill the Night King
>literally bumps into crowds and nearly gets trampled to death while trying to escape King's Landing
regardless of inconsistent motivations, their abilities aren't consistent either. it's laughable how terribly the final season's written.
Thank God book Jon will impregnate her
>I think you might have a thing for guys
projection from a crimson chin lover
Hey wait a moment
>You know your show is shit when the audience has to watch behind the scenes episodes and books to figure out what the fuck is going on in the plot.
And if the audience caught up on the books, they would know that Starks married each other numerous times in the past; Jon's grandparents on that side are cousins.
Of course, D&D needed to make Mad Queen Dany happen in 1.5 episodes, so they had Jon want nothing to do with her for no reason that he can actually explain.
A desperate bluff when stranded in a desert isn't demonstrating willingness
Emilia... I have court Tues.... In case you were curious desu
This ending is canon btw
Fuck off
No it was written poorly and there's a disconnect between it and her past douchebaggery because they wanted to head over to Star Wars.
Fuck they can't even consistently remember how they write a scene with the Goblins magical horse disappearing offscreen in the next episode.
People would have gladly accepted and even love/hate the tyrant Dany if they had done it well. But they rushed it so instead it reads as a bunch of incompetent white men try to ruin her and Jon was "I dont want it" and because she couldn't get dick she kills a bunch of people.
me on the left
So the writers didn’t actually understand the character either
Everything from the point Stannis burned Shireen is fanfiction.
Stannis and Dany beat the undead bugmen claimed the Iron Throne burned the traitor whore Sansa Stark as well and led the kingsdom into the golden age in the ending that was promised.
Book Jon would also be more willing to rule with her instead of just stabbing her for muh honor.
Show Jon is so fucking dull and boring, generic honorable hero fuck.
Oh they had an idea they were going for.
But they decided to subvert expectations and do what will likely happen in the books. Except making it retarded and also making all the men around her equally retarded.
Tyrion spent two seasons doing nothing but undermining her or sucking at his job as he acts like an idiot.
>People would have gladly accepted and even love/hate the tyrant Dany if they had done it well. But they rushed it so instead it reads as a bunch of incompetent white men try to ruin her and Jon was "I dont want it" and because she couldn't get dick she kills a bunch of people.
Just imagine being a Jaimefag, whose character completely did a 180 in the span of a single episode. At least Jon became a spineless faggot at the start of season 8 and Dany had more than an episode to become Dragon Hitler.
All they understand is money.
Stannis and Dany has to be one of the worst ships I've ever seen. It's either Dany and Jon or Dany and Greyworm. Any other ship is garbage.
How did they manage to end it in 6 episodes? Not only do I question why the fuck didn’t they go for more, but how did HBO let the final season of such a large cashcow and source of subscribers and attention end in 6 episodes?
Everything from the point where the Tysha reveal should have been is fanfiction.
Literally how can anyone like Dany? As soon as she got a little bit of power, it went right to her head.
Also, when a king is “usurped”, and another king takes over, that person is the new king. Their descendants are the “rightful” heirs. The old king and their family were defeated. When Dany “made” Gendry a Baratheon, he literally was the rightful king.
Drogo
>Dany and Greyworm
What
Greyworm x anyone is retarded but this is even worse
I say before too. What’s with that Robb romance? Not only did they butcher anything strategic in the War of the Five Kings, they went with this shitty romance subplot where Robb willingly shits on his promise.
>Show Jon is so fucking dull and boring, generic honorable hero fuck.
Show Jon would have kept her ass in check, too, this season, but D&D can't keep a character consistent for five episodes. He got her to do whatever he wanted last season, but became a complete pussy for some reason.
from what I can gather
>HBO and GRRM wanted much more
>D&D wanted to do Star Wars/Other Shit
>D&D contractually couldn't be replaced so if they wanted to end it HBO couldn't stop them
Fucking kek
They rushed it so they could go ruin Star Wars.
>Also, when a king is “usurped”, and another king takes over, that person is the new king.
The fact that "userper" is a word should tell you that entirely depends on who you ask.
Steward is most comfy
YASS
D&D wanted only 7 seasons while GRRM wanted 10 seasons and said there was plenty of material or set up for an even longer story. So in the end, what we wind up with is 7.6 seasons.
>Also, when a king is “usurped”, and another king takes over, that person is the new king. Their descendants are the “rightful” heirs. The old king and their family were defeated. When Dany “made” Gendry a Baratheon, he literally was the rightful king.
Except Dany would be the new Queen and the only way for somebody to recognize Gendry's legitimacy would be through recognizing Dany's.
A Targaryen in power with actual military forces backing her up > a legitimized bastard.
Is Dany gay?
> Dany and greyworm
Can't get any D from greyworm thats retarded.
>They rushed it so they could go ruin Star Wars.
anything is better than rian johnson
they really should have cast an ugly dude for jorah
S7 Dany was cute as fuck.
>How did they manage to end it in 6 episodes?
badly
>Not only do I question why the fuck didn’t they go for more
They wanted to do Star Wars for Disneybux. We can only pray that the backlash to this season ends up convincing Disney not to hire them after all.
>how did HBO let the final season of such a large cashcow and source of subscribers and attention end in 6 episodes?
No idea.
>Literally how can anyone like Dany
You have clearly never met a person with a vagina that watches this show.
i think it would be interesting to watch the show purely from a given character's perspective. for instance, choose Drogo, find all scenes with him over all shows, and then just watch those scenes in order
jorah is a man punished knowing he will never get her
I never cared for Dany and her story right up until she goes mad queen and torched the city and making Hitler speeches.
Now she’s my favourite.
I thought they jumped the shark many seasons back but somehow Kennedy, by letting them do Star Wars, managed to fuck the final season even worse that it would have been given 10 episodes. How does one person fuck up this hard? Now these last few episodes probably dealt a huge blow to D&D’s reputation even among the general audience who enjoyed the last few seasons. It’s some form of magic FUCKING up this hard.
Why did Jon legit not even try to save dany at all?
>As soon as she got a little bit of power, it went right to her head.
Bullshit. It was never about power, it was about an obligation to the people who put their faith in her. She's never once been power mad
He kind of forgot about being a good guy
17% of the last episode was dialogue
Think about that for a second. That’s how much d&d “cared” about this show’s ending.
In the books Jorah is an older looking hairy guy and she once DOES willingly make out with him once.
Shes more reluctant to give it up because she sees Jorah as the closest thing shes ever had to a father... she also doesn't want to exile him she wants an apology where he prostates himself and begs pardon but hes a dick about it.
Imagine if Luke killed Vader in the middle of return of the Jedi.
oh
>"Fuck me, my king"
>"Again? It's the fifth time today"
>"How else will you get a son, my king"
>*grinds teeth* "Seven hells"
Exactly. Women and wight knights hate the ending because they are unable to see that Danys fall into madness is COMPLETELY within character and was evident from the beginning. GURL POWAR, etc.
Btw, Ygritte was a MUCH better role model and way more badass and capable than Dany.
Jake Skywalker
Oh god, they are going to be the ones making the Kotor movies aren’t they?
YEP
>Go on Ao3
>tons of Dark Dany raping Jon fics
Well at least there's a silver lining from this season
Will GoT be remembered negatively due to it's finale just as Dexter was?
Weirdly me as well. However, it's strange for me because I didn't like her and Mad Dany was so fucking dumb in its handling I looked back and appreciated the Dany that came before.
Still looking forward to Fire Messiah Dany herald of R'hollor as a future villain though.
Oh god no. I’m already horrified enough that Disney plans to rape KOTOR with movies. Please no.
Ygritte was an amoral opportunist who just fell for Jon cause he was cute, she never had a problem slaughtering innocents and never had a moral code, if she had dragons she would have done worse than dany at this point
This episode REEKED of the Last Jedi bullshit.
Did not go to her head... she tries to fix the formerly nightmarish and dystopian society of slavers bay (yes she threw it into chaos but it was truly evil society especially Astapor the one city she sacked completely... Astapor is like worse then the Drow and Aztecs put together) and isn't all that truly interested in invading Westeros until exiles beg her to invade for years...
No even people who didn't like Dany hated it. Some of whom were waiting for Mad Dany.
It could have been in character, but the writing was so bad and half of her motivation was wanting Jon's dick it made it stupid.
God bless fanfiction, continuing on and fixing where shitty writers leave off.
Did you even watch the show?
“You gave up your crown to save the people, Would she do the same”
that says it all. any differing opinion is basedboy vagina hat reddit tier delusion.
>Dany implores Jon to help her rule justly and make the right decisions
>Jon denies that he can
>Jon brutally kills Dany while thinking that she could never be persuaded to make the right decisions
>though Dany had preceded in telling him that she was willing to hear him out and be persuaded
If you shut off your brain enough, s8 never happens.
youtu.be
we could have been boomers watching this show with our ungrateful little children, Fuck you D&D
At least she wasn’t crazy or power hungry.
I hate modern women hate most female characters and basically think their legal status should revert to the era when they were legal minors their whole lives.
Dany was an overwhelmingly positive character and selfless character until the end... and she originally only wanted to be a tradwife in something like her house with a red door. She was ruined because she didn't serve the purpose of feminist social engineering.
If you didn't start rooting for Dany after Astapor you have no soul.
The inconsistencies of the writers themselves making her out as heroic and noble makes it harder for people to take it seriously.
Tyrion talking about all her past brutality towards evil people means fucking little because
1. Tyrions a moron now
2. Arya fed a evil man his fucking kids in a pie but she's a stark so she's good!
Even if that’s what she was trying to do, she ended up being just more of the same. nothing would have changed if she was queen.
Well, the writing WAS bad. Obviously it only makes sense because GRRM intended it this way, but D&D dropped the ball. I have been expecting Daenerys to go full slaughter for a long time, and even I was visibly confused while watching. It's baffling how they didn't put the second dragon death DURING the king's landing fight, so that she would have an instant emotional moment. It would have been completely believable.
And yeah, Ygritte is probably the only actual "strong woman" in this show, and look at how many fans she has, not as many as the other YASSSSSSS characters, because of one important thing: Ygritte actually takes the initiative and responsibility, both in her relationships and physically. That's something women can't relate to.
>wight knights
hehe
I think he means as a role model to a woman watching the show.
She literally did the same
>Pledged herself to jon before he pledged himself to her, even though he lies about it later, to help save the realm
>makes peace with cersei, to help save the realm
>Brought her whole force to the north to fight the night king, and lost half her army, to help save the realm
>Ended up losing the crown after helping save the people
The Daario shit made me dislike her
Hopefully book Jon can make her pure again
>Danys fall into madness is COMPLETELY within character
Not really
Jon doesn't want anything. Not his people. Not his dog. Not the woman he wants to fuck.
Hell he would happily serve Dany as she rules with an iron fist if Tyrion didn't tell him Sansa wouldn't kneel.
>“You gave up your crown to save the people, Would she do the same”
Ridiculous. Not even Cersei or Robert would've given up their crowns, not Stannis, or any of those seeking to rule except for Jon, who never wanted to rule any way. It was an idiotic line from Tyrion. And Dany sacrificed plenty for the sake of others on her way to Westeros.
If she was in Dany's position, she would be, and would be worse
To the extent she fails its because shes too nice and not ruthless enough and will probably succeed in the books once the Yunkai merc force is inevitably defeated.
This does not imply purposely reenacting Dresden for no reason in the future.
>Ygritte was an amoral opportunist who just fell for Jon cause he was cute, she never had a problem slaughtering innocents and never had a moral code, if she had dragons she would have done worse than dany at this point
It's strange how the show tries to retroactively make us sympathetic towards Ygritte and Tormund, despite them massacring villages of innocent people.
That's what happens when a character is so obviously railroaded into a shitty ending. All the main characters were character assassinated, but Dany was "written" to get what she wanted, then kill everybody anyway because D&D wanted to follow GRRM's ending at the absolute last minute.
At this point, who thinks that The Three-Eyed Raven--amoral creep who only does things to benefit himself--is a better ruler than Jon and Dany? At least the people wanted Jon and Dany in power. Bran comes in at the last second, Tyrion gives a half-assed speech about how he has a good story, and everybody votes him as king for no reason (except Sansa, because Starks get to rule two independent countries, apparently).
Danys torching of KL was right, fuck Cersie and fuck the lannies.
>and she originally only wanted to be a tradwife in something like her house with a red door
It was more or less
>I didn't want to be what I am. I wish I had a normal, simple life.
And I can't help but wonder how modern women react to this. What if theoretically a woman wants to be a homemaker or something they disprove of? Will they bash said woman for her own opinion or choice?
You ever watched that deleted opening of The Incredibles? youtube.com
>If you shut off your brain enough, s8 never happens.
I feel like I had a brain aneurysm when the night king was stabbed and haven’t recovered. Maybe this is all in my mind.
Fat Man will make Mad Dany a nuanced character. Not just LOL BELLS MADE ME DO A 180. DnD are soulless autists who can't comprehend human nature. Wait for Fat Man to give her the arc she deserves.
>The Three-Eyed Raven
I wish he looked like this.
>And I can't help but wonder how modern women react to this
Most women want that too.
>Well, the writing WAS bad.
REALLY bad. I could get a 13 write a more satisfying ending that makes more sense. I would like to know what drugs d&d were on when this wrote this first draft up.
Yeah a woman watching the show will never have dragons, but she should still try and act like Dany rather than Ygritte, just because Dany eventually was corrupted by absolute power doesn't mean she wasn't a better role model than other women
And she'll still likely do what she did in the show, but it will be written competently and not be stupid.
>Qyburn was a Sith all along
The finale was so bad it made people forget how awful E3 was. 10 years of build up reduced to absolutely nothing.
“Every time a new Targaryen is born, he said, the gods toss the coin”
She is literally insane like her dad. Again, the power went to her head and the ONLY reasons she didn’t go on a murder spree early was because of her advisors, and in kong’s landing, she figured she was so close, to stop short could endanger her claim to the throne.
That’s literally all she wanted, to be queen. Everything else she claimed was only justification.
Tyrion said it himself. She wants everyone in the world to be “liberated”, as long as SHW can rule over them.
You know I totally think they had a different end in mind earlier precisely because the vision Dany had she not only doesn't touch the throne, she chooses to go outside and see what's going on by her own choice.
Mad Dany is basically her picking the bad route in an RPG/VN.
I don't blame them for having different goals than what's socially more acceptable for them to want. There's statistics out there showing many men would like to become stay at home dads and raise the kids and cook instead of work. So I don't blame them. But I can't help but wonder what it's like to be a woman bashed by pro-woman people all for not wanting what they want. By some point, it's the exact same "I want what I want for others" regardless of what others want.
Having Cersei take Aegon's place is retarded. DnD must get mad head from Headey.
Seriously, how can any writer with a straight face think Jon killing Dany while she kissed him was OK?
>showfag
Go read the books. Dany is a nuanced character. Not some retarded LOL SHE WAS ALWAYS MAD.
You get it.
An overwhelmingly selfless positive sweet girl who wanted to be a tradwife originally and was obedient to her brother and husband (despite being badly mistreated) and only started on the road to power when she was left alone in the world is set to be the most popular female character since Mary Poppins among women who are easily influenced by media...
They whoever they are couldn't let that happen.
As Varys said, often the one who doesn’t want the power is most suited for it.
>that says it all. any differing opinion is basedboy vagina hat reddit tier delusion.
The sad part is that so many people would use the show's hollow justifications for why Jon and Dany couldn't work together. Jon went to Dragonstone and got EVERYTHING HE FUCKING WANTED from Daenerys. Dany even made him a quasi-adviser and then listened to his advice--all before he even bent the knee.
>Daenerys is too strong for him! Daenerys will view him as a threat! Daenerys wouldn't want to share power with him!
Then fucking SHOW it. Don't have Daenerys begging Jon to work together with her literally up to Jon stabbing her in the heart.
I'm not going to believe a marriage doesn't work because Varys, who doesn't know Jon at all, says that it won't. I won't believe that Jon can't control Dany's worse impulses because Varys says that he can't, even though the latter saw first hand that that wasn't the case.
It's bad writing, plain and simple.
Women always want to have their cake and eat it too, in terms of gender politics.
Both progressive approaches and traditional approaches are equally useless.
We are what we are genetically, hundreds of thousands of years of mating patterns won't change with ~50 years of external factors.
Ygritte is what a "strong woman" should be.
Women's idea of "strong woman" is "exactly like what women normally are but with more privileges!"
She wants to make the world a better place, and she thinks burning everything in the way of paradise is the way to do it.
Like that's straight up utopia justifying ones actions. That's what he's saying. She'll do anything, anything to create a better world for everyone. Even if that means roasting the biggest BBQ party in history.
And it just so happens her ideal fits a lot with what Kinvara said about Dany as an agent of the Lord of Light.
Imagine if Ned was alive to see it
>so my foster son feigned love to stab his rightful kin and queen in the guts like a coward?
>episode 3 season 8 Worst episode ever
>next episode is even worse
>an even worse one after that
>final is the worst ending of any modern series ever
Breath taking. Books will be written.
She wasn't a virgin then... can't be too hard on her for missing getting the D. She doesn't want to give it up to Jorah because she sees him as like the father she never had.
>mfw I thought Bronn was shoehorned into the plot
>mfw I saw Arya in episodes 5 and 6
She very obviously cares about people, that's why she stayed in essos to free people from slavery, and never turned on her people even when they turned against her, such as when she had to execute a former slave, she listened to tyrion's "advice" to not attack King's landing because she didn't want innocents to die, when all Tyrion cared for was Cersei. When she returned to take King's landing she was a broken woman at her lowest point, abandoned by everyone
>What are you doing, my love?
>Succeeding you
Barristen gets to be the grandfather.
This show is written by literal retards with fish memory. So fucking happy it's over.
>Yea Forums
>referencing a book
Need I say more?
The only part of the finale I liked was everyone laughing their asses off at Sam and his silly democracy idea.
>she should still try and act like Dany rather than Ygritte
No. Daenerys is an alpha widow banging every chad she runs into.
What would Ned do after the burning of King's Landing? I mean Tywin raped and sacked King's Landing too.
>The only part of the finale I liked
Brienne writing down Jaime's deeds
Ygritte is a sociopath who happens to be a crackshot with a bow, not someone to want to aspire to be
Dabid kinda forgot the Night's Watch is already what Sam described.
They messed up a lot in their portrayal of Dany. In the books, she was far from some wise high queen. Even before Dance with Dragons, she had lots of self-doubt and fuckups ruling. She doesn't want to be queen but sees it as a duty she's gotta do, even with her flaws. Had Book Dany been in Show Dany's place, she might have flat out decided to let Jon or whoever rule, maybe or maybe not marrying the king or maybe even heading back to Essos.
That was more character assasination making her a mad commie. She gives up on leftist utopian ideas very early when governing slavers bay (she did have them initially but shes 13 but realizes QUICKLY they don't work)... but the society was so nightmarish that reaction to the old order wasn't a good option either.
Her being a mad commie makes no sense.
Dany killed those people in KL so that no one would ever be under the rule of a Queen that would use her position and exploit her people the way Cersei had- the deaths of thousands to promote the lives of millions was Dany's reasoning and I'm not convinced that she couldn't have learned to be merciful in the future. She practically begged Jon to help teach her.
SAD
Is the first four seasons still worth a rewatch? I want to forget all of season 7 - 8, but I still want more GoT...
Ned would shut up and fuck his queen out of duty. Crisis averted.
How is she a sociopath?
Also, Daenerys is literally crazy, I should remind you.
>took Riverrun without any casualties
DnD kinda forgot about Blackfish dying I guess
The Ironborn also select their king with a live studio audience
>”when all Tyrion cared about for was Cersei”
Oh ok so you didn’t pay attention at all, that makes more sense.
>Dany doesn't wanna fuck this 10/10 hunk.
That's the thing. awoiaf.westeros.org
>all that non-con stuff
Yeah that's gonna be a yikes from me.
How do we know his name isn't Lord Baeliss, and everyone is just using his accent to say it?
She kills innocent people without remorse
BASED AND RADPILLED
Yeah he'd prevent a problem from ever forming by marrying her so she didn't feel threatened by his claim and then actually work to get cunts like Sansa to stop ostracizing the Queen with dragons.
Asha (Yara for you showfags) is a woman so she just laughed to try and fit in the group.
>tfw no Northern Conspiracy
>no "The North Remembers" from Pieman
the problem with d&d was we got conned by these two frauds. We didn’t look at their past history. They don’t have screen writing degrees. Second they start moving from the books around season 2 the decline began. Season 5 was when got got the first truly Dabid season, which completely goes off the rails from the books. What we got wrong was thinking they weren’t idiots who had in universe reasons for doing what they do. Like people thinking “they want to show off dany’s evil”. Step back and if you look at their dvd commentary you see them talking about nothing but the actors. They just wanted to show off Emil’s Clark glowering at people, not for any plot reasons. Any person killed or alive at the end of the show was chosen based off actor favoritism and is not at all like the reality in the books.
So do a lot of people in the world of Earthos, but that doesn't make them sociopaths. It's survival.
Going off the show and not the books, there's literally no other explanation for why Dany shouldn't just go take the red keep immediately when she arrives. It spares thousands of lives from seiges and battles
The best ones start with non-con and end up with Jon willingly fucking her
Based and dragonpilled.
Fuck Varys, what does he know? He tried to have Dany killed after she married Drogo. I can't imagine there being a good king of someone who doesn't want to rule. As Tywin was talking about the right qualities a king should possess with Tommen, he said wisdom was the most important because there had been a good king that was killed by his brother and a "good" king wouldn't have been killed by someone he should've never trusted.
Seriously, one of the best chapters in the books. Why in the fuck would they not put this story arc in?
D&D are such fucking hacks.
She wanted also badly wanted children too... but the witch's curse (probably) left her infertile.
Her plan to take over Astapor was formed as a snap decision taken in outrage over just how evil the place was (probably the most evil society I've ever seen portrayed in fiction the Drow were fucking better)...
>“Every time a new Targaryen is born, he said, the gods toss the coin”
Actually false when looking at the all the Targaryens.
>She is literally insane like her dad. Again, the power went to her head and the ONLY reasons she didn’t go on a murder spree early was because of her advisors, and in kong’s landing, she figured she was so close, to stop short could endanger her claim to the throne.
She only wanted to destroy the Red Keep early on. She was stopped because of bad writing and actor favoritism.
>That’s literally all she wanted, to be queen. Everything else she claimed was only justification.
False in the books and the show. She went out of her way to save everybody in the very same season she went crazy and tried to kill everybody. Her justifications in the book will be much better (if they ever come out).
>Tyrion said it himself. She wants everyone in the world to be “liberated”, as long as SHW can rule over them.
Yeah, until one remembers that Varys, Tyrion, and Jon were telling her what to do for months/years, and she listened (to her detriment).
Again, Daenerys listened to Jon when she barely even knew him. She listened to him over her own Hand. But when the shit is about to hit the fan, Jon suddenly has no opinion on anything ever? He comforted her when he barely knew her, but now that he knows that they are related, he can't stand the sight of her?
The show's ending is contrived bullshit. The Starks wouldn't have hated her so blatantly and illogically. Her advisers wouldn't have started openly talking about treason, despite her giving them little reason to doubt her (she fucking went North to save the world, and nobody cares). Jon wouldn't have ignored her just because he found out they were family. Most importantly of all, Dany wouldn't have murdered a million people after she won already.
Davos IV. It was amazing. Pieman went from zero to hero so quickly.
>probably the most evil society I've ever seen portrayed in fiction the Drow were fucking better
See Xeelee Sequence's Interim Coalition of Governance. They make the Imperium look good.
Post links to the best ones
She's not surviving she's climbing the wall, invading the north slaughtering innocents, pillaging mole's town, etc, the best thing she does is spare one baby from slaughter
NEW THREAD
This is way funnier than it looks
You should be prepared to kill, that's all there is to it. Not unusual acts when you consider the world.
Replace Rhaegar with Griffith. What changes?
Imagine this mindset, with 3 dragons. That's my point
None of it would ever happen because Stannis would be king as he was rightfully so
>dany = idealist>power hungry>insane
> ygritte = >dany
>Gendry = “rightful” heir to iron throne, if not then Cersei is, if not then Jon is
>Arya = insane
>Sansa = entitled bitch in the beginning, strong woman at the end
>Jaime = honestly his character arc got completely messed up
>Sandor = best arc
>Cersei = completely justified blowing up the septon and killing all of those people (anyone who supported the high sparrow deserved death)
>Robert = great guy
Except Ygritte is the equivalent of a woman being born in a crackhouse, whereas Dany is equivalent to a rich foreign monarch being born in exile.
> The show's ending is contrived bullshit. The Starks wouldn't have hated her so blatantly and illogically. As I said they ruined /ourgirl because a sweet tradpilled positive chick who was the bane of the undead bugmen and Cersei (Hillary Clinton) could not be allowed to be so popular with women lest they get Khaleesi mania and stop acting like feminist cunts.
>she's 5'2
>barely taller than her
They made Daenerys a villain at the last minute just to get one last "shocking kill" The reactions to the red wedding and Oberyn's death must of went to their heads. Most of my complaints about season 5 and onward are about bad out of character decisions the characters had to make in order for them to get killed off.
>disagree, her idealism is correct
>disagree, has no principles
>somewhat agree
>fully agree, her redemption was bullshit
>disagree, she's a sociopath
>agree
>strongly disagree, went against his whole character arc and septon maribald's ideology
>strongly disagree, she was purely selfish and wanted to avoid justice
>disagree, he helped start a war which killed tens if not hundreds of thousands
the same thing he did when Tywin sacked it
fuck off back to Winterfell and bury his head in the snow
Dany was basically a slave whereas Ygritte was free
