Don't listen to that retard, HTTP isn't "commercial", it's just two methods of transferring files between IPs. All it is are links like for any website, just FTP is usally used for larger and optimized packets.
Torrenting sites. Hosts usually name their links like that to scare newfags like yourselves

I don't know what's with the links, but they are just sections of those websites where files for ftp are located and a prefix for the ftp protocol. You can paste the address in your windows explorer navigation bar like that and if you had the password you could look at the files on those servers in your explorer. It's not even encrypted ftp, which is called sftp.
