>Yea Forums thinks you are gay
Why cant you discord trannies just accept sal was straight???
Mad Men generals have been consistently high-quality since the shows beginning newfag. People who shitpost and bait don't watch this show.
I know this is bait but closeted guys talk about women all the time in an effort to seem straight.
thanks for sharing the first hand experience?
me too user, i fondly remember watching each episodes of the last 3 seasons with Yea Forums
Fuckin same.
The spirits of elderflower memes along with Rodger sterling memes were so comfy.
My favorite was watching all the gifs of the week
For me it's Don Draper, wicked, nihilistic and empty inside ;_;
Bump this shit up, get in here negroes
Gonna be bumping this thread when my rare dons.
Anyone else just love the aesthetic of the show? Not necessarily the 60's stuff, but the colors they use.
its a very colorful show, not just for the brightness in some scenes just the use of colors that you dont normally see and used together
EAT THE FUCKING SORBET BITCH
no problem, hopefully you've learned something to make you slightly less retarded
but he liked Kenny remember?

It's a very subtely gorgeous show
I only realized this scene has all of Don's girls when someone mentioned it here
Bumping so I have a comfy Mad Men thread when I get home from work. Who was best girl?

It was pretty true to the mid-late 60's aesthetic and embraced the lighting styles/techniques of movies from the period. Watch some movies from back then and the lighting looks like Mad Men.
I take it back, Trudy all the way bois
Betty's pretty fuckin nice tho

I got chills back then and I got chills just now. How long must we wait for the true successor to Mad Men?
back the fuck off, I killed 17 men in Okinawa
Facebook tier shitpost
duck is my favorite character. roast me.
Duck was fucking tragic and his downward spiral all happened somewhat off-screen so most people just thought he was an asshole.
When we first meet him he seems decent enough but you get snippets of his backstory as background noise, he shows up stag to Don's dinner party and turns down alcohol, we find out his wife left him and remarried. We gradually gather that he had some alcoholic breakdown at his last job and lost literally everything.
He's clearly trying to rebuild his life but the constant pressure and people being a dick to him pushes him into relapse. The worst part is he finally starts succeeding at things again and puts the merger together when he starts drinking, so he doesn't even notice he's doing wrong. But then he goes too far again and loses another job.
And afaik he never got another redemption. He fell back and stayed there until the end. Maybe him hiring Pete for that job in the finale was the start of another upward climb but I guess we'll never know.
Same
Do you think Duck really killed 17 men at Okinawa?
That sad Don came up with his best ad right before his seasons long writers block though.
If any Don would make the Kendall Pepsi ad, it would either be drunk in front of Life Cereal people Don, or high on amphetamines rambling about bullshit Don
Nah Don would never make something that shitty
Even Speedy Don and breakdown Hershey Don were trying to force real soul and honesty into an industry that didn't care for it. The Pepsi ad was pure soulless corporatism, pretty much the opposite of everything Don created.
I think it was one of the most realistic portrayals of the functional alcoholic out there. I think we're supposed to know that Duck will eventually fuck everything up, though. That's how it goes with most alcoholics, unless you just spiral right into the abyss: you fluctuate wildly with successes and failures but each failure brings you lower than the last and all it takes is just one bad night behind the wheel, or one fuck up that goes a little too far for it to be all over.
Duck didn't make it, user. He was just going to swing back down and die behind the wheel at some point.
Don and Freddie were both in the same situation though, and they made it out.
There's hope for /OurDuck/ yet
>friendly reminder that Faye would have been the best wife for him but he rejected her because he felt they were too equal and wanted someone he could easily mold like meagan
damn you, don!
THE KING ORDERED IT
>manvoice miller
Rachel was bestgirl all along, but she's the only one who wouldn't put up with his shit.
There's a reason she's the only one he thought about after she left.
There’s a scene in season 7 about Sunkist. The other writers are struggling, and all Don suggests is to put the oranges in front of a camera and show that “they’re orange” and that’s all people will care about. There’s also his totally superficial and obtuse Snoball idea from S5.
Writers block fucked with him quite a bit. There’s no shame in admitting he just wanted to run a few easy ads.
What was this thing called again?
lol wat, faye had a feminine voice. youre just not used to long island girls, user.
but rachel fucking died so lmao'ing @ you
It’s a Chip ‘n’ Dip!
Don was more of a casual alcoholic, though. Duck seemed to have a very long history of fuck ups and he didn't exactly seem like the kind of guy that was going to end up on a beach in California meditating. Don was capable of self-reflection to a far greater extent than Duck, from what we are shown anyway.
Don was addicted to creative aspect of advertising but Duck was addicted to business. I don't think he was going to make it, user. As for Freddie? Well, he had the anchor of his family to sort of latch onto. Duck would be swinging in the wind.
idk i had my fingers in my ears when someone said the name
A what?
You have your fingers in your ears? It’s a Chip ‘n’ Dip. You have your friends over, you put chips on the sides and dip in the middle.
Do you have a receipt?
If Mad Men happened today Don would be an SEO Executive.
Does anyone else think that might actually be a good show?
The student teacher that Ginsberg went on a date with.
No, that would be terrible. There is no spark in the kind of sleight-of-hand required to do SEO shit.
in da FLOOD
