remember watching it as a kid and it left of at the end of the second season, end of the battle city arc.
3rd season Noah's arc is tiresome
But it finishes the battle city arc right after
4th season waking the dragons, was pretty boring, especially everytime a dragon card is summoned, you hear that homoerotic fanfare every time.
Then the capsuel monster episodes are supposed to be in between the 4th and last season, but that was another game type.
The final season though, right after the Grand championship arc, it goes into the Dawn of the Duel, which takes you back to Ancient egypt, that arc was pretty good.

The plot is utterly ridiculous if you give it a second of thought. Just look at the Virtual World Arc: Gozaburo Kaiba's son gets hit by a car and is turned into a vegetable so they upload his consciousness into a virtual reality world. Then he somehow manages to kidnap a group of people in the real world and trap their consciousness inside his virtual world.

Makes sense to me. Should be done as a VR MMO-RPG yugioh game.
