Franchises that have been completely ruined

All of them
w-what happened?
that shit was TV gold
The Aliens franchise was spoiled by the prequel Alien. Honestly feel asleep until that tunnel jumpscare.
the alien franchise was ruined by Alien 3 don't lie.
Going to see John Wick tomorrow with a friend. Never liked it from the beginning. I can appreciate the love and effort that went into it, but it's just not there. Same with the expendables. Braindead idea for a movie, but it could've been Kino with great execution. It turned into a shitfest. Anyways, Rocky has to be in the list for sure.
Whenever something is turned into a """franchise""" it's ruined.
Is there any franchise that hasn't been ruined?
john wick
It's just...everything about this movie. I hate to sound like an arrogant prick, but if you weren't around at the time, you can't imagine what kind of mindblowing cinema this was. The Matrix did it. But even then. Good stories and special effects like nothing you've ever seen or imagined for that matter. Good enough to change the collective conciousness forever. It's were Popculture and art overlap.
Star Trek
Rocky
Rambo
The Matrix
Bill and Ted
When the third post is also the best post.

Back to the Future...yet
dracarys
They're fixing that.
Romero tried hard to ruin his dead legacy with anything after Day of the Dead, but those are easy to ignore, although Land of the Dead was almost great, except bad editing and bad acting killed that, plus hamfisted dialogue with a script written by a 5-year-old. I mean, 1800s Irish? Complete with accents? Really?
True but you're 16 years too late.

Robert Pattinson will save Batman. But even then it has been the scripts and the terrible visual effects which have hindered that franchise recently.
Predator II was great and first AvP was watchable.
High order plebs
You're both liars, the downfall of the Alien franchise started with Resurrection.
Godzilla of course
No. TOHO literally killed that 1998 abomination in Godzilla: Final Wars.
This user speaks the truth. Even when a bad film comes out, Godzilla always manages to bounce back.
It's kinda hard to say that, because Godzilla has had numerous terrible movies over time. but it has also had a lot of good ones. For example Terror of Mechagodzilla (1975) is absolutely awful, but Shin Godzilla (2016) is fantastic
Batman and superman after bvs. After bvs, I mean after the ultimate vision of Snyder was denied by the unwashed. If that perfect form was not accepted I don't have any more interest in the characters and the franchise
>that scene were Arnold blows half of the T1000's body
This movie was just too ahead of its time. I still remember how much I wondered how they managed to do something like that.
That's one cheesy film, still the franchise survives.
You simply cannot fuck up Godzilla, no matter how hard Hollywoood tries.
You and I... we're not so different
>That's one cheesy film
Yes, but it's delicious cheese, only it's human scenes are boring at times, but it makes up for it with plenty of leg-porn. Can't find a pic easily, but you know what I mean.
Basically this.
All goood movies were unintentional.
I still like 2 more than 1, always have. The kid doesn't annoy me, but I don't have a fuck about Sarah or her predicament until the 2nd movie where she's established, and that stop motion Terminator robot is laughable
I agree, bonus points for original Gotengo
Zilla was a fun flick
I guess I'll just die
Just wait until zemekis dies. They'll black it up like you won't believe.
>Michael b. Jordan is Mookie McFly
>mup da do didda dawk, u b sayin dat dis whip runs on pootoneum? Dat shit crazy
>Great LaShawnda!
Agreed, Final Wars was kino.
Blade Runner is still amazing
I know he's apparently a big guy in the books, but I liked the first film.
>Predator ii was great
It's mostly just Danny Glover sweating and swearing for a 100 minutes but it has its moments.
It was a "meh" movie but it somehow added fantastic lore without shitting on the first film so it gets a pass imo
They're right, capeshitter.
That's an unrelated 'Zilla.
Instead of seething over the '98 film, you should give the animated series a watch. It amends all of the problems the prequel had and it makes 'Zilla Jr. a complete badass.
Both director and writer have said that won't happen as long as one of them is alive.
That isn't the predator you are thinking about. Why don't you have a seat?
It isn't bad, but nowhere close to as good as first one was.
Jurassic Park.
>Franchises that have been completely ruined
> Franchises
and there we have the problem
you make one or two good movies or catch lighting maybe the planets align and make three good movies just be happy and move the fuck on
John Wick 3 is actually kino you dumbo
Better than the second one? That was disappointing after the good first film
>Terror of Mechagodzilla
>awful
It’s one of the best Showa films. I bet you think the Heisei series is good with that shit taste.
Shin sucks ass.
Nearly 30 years, and every Terminator move after 2 looks worse.
>mad scientist controls titanosaurus through poorly explained methods
>marine biologist has his daughter kidnapped by aliens and turned into a catalyst to control mechagodzilla
>final fight was just a rehash of the last movie + titanosaurus
>titanosaurus didn't even do anything interesting anyway
Look man I'm not trying to defend the garbage that is 90% of heisei movies, but The Terror of Mechagodzilla was easily the weakest showa Godzilla. I do like Titanosaurus' design, though.
