Name a worse sequel than Pacific Rim Uprising

Worse movie, yeah. Not worse sequel. Mortal Kombat has its charm, but it was definitely middle tier at best and derivative, terrible, extremely safe and nowhere near as entertaining as the source material. So a sequel that's the same but way worse is a terrible movie. Meanwhile, PRU was a terrible movie that was continuing a story and universe that had great potential, and the first movie was great all around. The sequel didn't even need to exist, but it continued the story in the shittest ways it could have, killing some of the better characters as well as potential for the series to continue well enough. It should have been remembered as the standalone kino it was, now it's a franchise that needs to be allowed to die before it gets worse.

I don't think a trailer has ever killed my interest in a film quicker. I knew the film was going to be worse than it's predecessor, but I thought it might at the very least have a few good scenes of robots punching aliens. How can you fuck up a movie about robots punching aliens? Jesus christ, Boyega is cinema cancer.

I didn't actually go see it because the trailer completely turned me off. How bad was it really?

I was really hoping for Uprising to flop so we don't have to see more that will be underwhelming compared to the first one. But no, the movie just had to make profit so we're gonna see more PR starring John Ungabunga.
