Breaking Bad's finale is not a 9.9. Just because it's a happy ending that ties everything in a neat little bow does not make it good. The time skip after Ozymandias was lazy writing, and the way Walt murdered Jack's gang was incredibly contrived.
>DBZ: 4.9
why?
>Just because it's a happy ending that ties everything in a neat little bow does not make it good
This is what normies want. They unironically thought episode 1 and 2 of this season where amazing
That's literally just a ranking from happiest to least happy ending.
nobody thought that. They expected some build-up and character interactions before "the big episodes" and payoff, but there wasnt any payoff in latter episodes, but only destroyed storylines and character arcs, and subversion.
But got has literally disney ending. Everyone got happy ending except Jon (bittersweet) and Daenerys (bitter and tragic)
He died, how is that a happy ending? If anything it was a poetic ending.
Who are the only two characters normies care about.
Yes, Khaleesi is the only character that ever died or had anything bad happen to her in this show.
Breaking Bad will never not be a great ending retard
D&D hoped that people will be satisfied with Starks gettin happy ending, but they are not the Starks from first seasons, they are so unlikable and backstabbing right now, they fucked over Jon. Bran literally everything manipulated with Sansa. Tyrion didnt deserve happy ending, he fucked up to much. But these are not the only problem with last episode or season 8. Its just insulting, stupid, filled with plot holes, retardness, time jumps are fucked up etc... And the direction and pacing in episode 6 was poor. The scene with Jon and Daenerys was very poorly handled by D&D. 1h of the episode are dialogue-less. Second half of the episode is sitcom. Etc...
>Everybody had a Disney ending except for Dany
Did you even watch the show or were you too busy crying into your Dany love pillow?
>But these are not the only problem with last episode or season 8.
>the fact that my favourite character didn't get a happy ending is a problem
lol, kys manchild
The only character that had consequences for her actions. Every other was protected by plot armor and by screenwriters. Daenerys was fucked up the most by poor writing since S07. Everyone around her was dumbed down by D&D to specifically give her bad advice. The entire season in EP4 was so forced only to kill Rhaegal and capture Missandei because D&D wanted to have excuse when Dany will start burning king's landing. They are hacks, they fucked up this season big time.
And look at the pacing of this episode, its just insulting:
youtube.com
im talking about the main characters, not the secondary that were killed in previous seasons by GRRM, and he gave them logical progression and character development to their dead.
>GoT has a lower rated finale than Dexter
What the fuck is this timeline?
>mfw episode 6 was the least terribly paced episode of the last two seasons
>The time skip after Ozymandias was lazy writing
100% agree, and in fact the writing took a dip right after the other time skip (where 6 months passed right after Walt organised the murders all those dudes in prison) and it always didn't sit right with me. I remember at one point Walt was all like "Jess I'm in the empire business", and that was where his character was before the initial time skip. The dude no longer cared about the money, he wanted the POWER. But then the time skip happens, Skylar shows him the pile of money, and suddenly like "Nevermind. I retire"? BULLSHIT. Totally went against where his character was at
it felt like they were out of real ideas after S2
the whole Gus arc starts feeling less and less satisfying to watch, and the conclusion is the most lackluster you could possibly conceive
the show made an effort to concentrate 100% on walter to the point where everyone else doesn't even feel like a character, much less people
Mad Men, Sopranos, and The Wire at least all have better endings than BB.
DON'T STOP
its problem because they character assassinated her even more than Stannis. Its poor writing, worse character development than Anakin Skywalker by large margin, and everyone can see it even people who hate the character.
it's the most emotional ending I've ever watched
the question whether he died or not is not even relevant, the ending tells us so much more than that
I really don't get why GoT is rated so low. The criticisms I've heard are all so fucking dumb, one guy made a video in which he mentions Jorahs quote about there's a beast in every man and it stirs when you put a sword in his hand and then goes on to say that the "turn towards evil" of the person with a WMD came totally out of nowhere and makes no sense.
The 8th season is boring and predictable at worst except for the death of the night king which was just dumb but normalfags were fine with that.
>I really don't get why GoT is rated so low
>it just boring and predictable with retarded parts in between
Normalfags loved the retarded shit inbetween and the rest being boring is hardly a reason to rate something as less than a 5/10.
You are talking about the whole season. The finale is the last episode and normies hated everything after the NK.
End Of Z is pretty garbage.
It's a timeskip where Gohan becomes a cuck.
Yeah and as I said the 8th season outside of the night king is boring and predictable. Boring and predictable isn't a 4.4/10.
Gohan was always a cuck.
>happy ending
>Main character dies after being left completely alone in the world
he dies in front of the machinery of his lifes work and its going to be plastered all over the news that he was still cooking meth.
What shitty b8.
At least half of those characters might have an equally large ''have tragically lost X''-list of things that have affected them. Jon definitely didn't get what he wanted.
There's this tenet in popular literature that if a character commits crimes against humanity, despite whatever redemptive arc they may have, they are to be punished by death. This appeals to our innate conception that some measure of justice and karma exist in this world. This is why we don't cry for Darth Vader; although he was redeemed, his crimes still mandate that he die. In the reality, however, this is just not the case.
The reason why Breaking Bad is a happy ending is because after Walt "breaks bad," he is inevitably fated to die or end up in prison by the end of the series by the nature of his status as an antihero. A child could tell you this. Although you may feel "sad" for Walt, we can all agree that he deserved to die, and he also managed to secure happy endings for all the other characters: Jack, Lydia, and Meth Damon are killed, Jesse is freed, and Walt's family get $10 million.
>Boring and predictable isn't a 4.4/10.
You have very low standards.
Whatever helps you sleep at night.
BB had an absolutely dreadful finale, the fucking automated lmg and Walter's death scene were borderline comedic and went completely against the grounded tone that initially set BB apart from other crime dramas. Goes to show how much a show's general quality impacts the viewer's perception of it's finale. Same exact thing applies to LOST, even though the show's average quality was much lower than BB's.
Meanwhile Six Feet Under is 14 years old and has 9.8 but isn't mentioned?
It was a garbage ending for a show that had long since turned into garbage. It started out good but it went on too long for its own good and also caved way too much to fan demand (WAAAAH GOHAN IS NOT MUH GOKU!!!!).
Not that user, but you do have very low standards
I don't. I'm just not a dumb normalfag who thinks this season of GoT is worse than the previous three, it's just as bad.
Don't pretend normalfags have a good reason for disliking this season because they don't.
well like i wrote, Jon ending is bittersweet, even tragic a bit because he was manipulated to kill his family member and lover, and then he got fucked by his other family and exiled into the watch, i disagree with him on this photo as "happy ending".
>liking gohan
He's not cool.
Yes its worse. Previous few seasons didnt destroyed most of the character arcs, lore or mythology, they were just dumb, just like season 8 is dumb but i will argue that S08 is even dumber than S07. There was still hope that there will be payoff in the finale. And there is no payoff, character arcs are destroyed, lore and mythology is destroyed. Its by far the worst season in got, if you cant see this you are delusional contrarian retard.
Fine, Goku still should've stayed dead though. Focus on literally anybody but Goku. That gay status quo shit is what kills a lot of capeshit-type media.
>capeshit-type
Goku is not a super hero.
If you think DBZ is remotely above capeshit in any way you're sadly mistaken
LMAO. Even S07 is better because there is still hope, and the second half of the S07 finale is actually good, winter at king's landing, Jon parentage, white walkers finally passed the wall. Everything was destroyed in season 8, you must be really dumbfuck to think that this isnt one of the worst season finales in history of television. They literally fucked up everything they could.
I didn't say it was above it. But it's clearly a standard shonen thing. Though it does have mock hero elements.
GOT didn't have a happy ending?
What characters archs were destroyed? What character archs were there in the last few seasons? Who fucking cares about the meaningless prophecies not being fulfilled. That's how it's always been, the prophecies were always just something which lead to conflict between characters. That's their whole point.
Normalfags loved the long night episode and that's the one major fuck up of this season.
No, people are just asshurt that their chatacter turned evil
If they legitimately were complaining about the writing, it wouldnt be suddenly season 8
>they character assassinated her
Imagine being such a fucking moron
>This is why we don't cry for Darth Vader
I thought it was because we're over the age of 15?
Did Sons of Anarchy have a good ending?
Dude people who took an enemy city by force have never done anything bad to the inhabitants of that city. It's unrealistic. My expectations were totally subverted, who knew that the story from a person who is anti-war would show people doing bad things in a war.
>....that's nice.
Long night was the first fuck up, but the biggest fuckups are later. No reason to talk with retard with 0 knowledge about good storytelling.
And what are the biggest fuck ups?
>archs
