Best GoT Characters That Didn't Make It To The Show

For me, it's Victarion.

Isnt this the guy whose underage wife got raped by euron?

Jon Connington. His name and sigil are great I think. If if they didn't include the 'Young Griff' storyline. Jon could have been a cool character. It would have been nice to see the exiled Westerosi Targaryen loyalists join Dany to replace the Dothraki and Unsullied scum.

If they removed Yara and had the Iron Islands be led by a Balon, Victarion, and Euron combo it could have been kino. Euron would eventually betray the other two of course.

Like so many other sci-fi/fantasy series, the world is more interesting then the story they chose to tell. I'm really impressed with how fleshed out GRRM's world is. There are all kinds of great things that could be done with it. That's why it's so frustrating watching the dumpster fire that is the tv show.

Attached: 0DIrH3W.jpg (1113x1500, 363K)

Yep. And now he's on his way to give Dany the D.

Of course on the wiki apparently GRRM wants to imply Jon was gay for Rhaegar. But just disregard that, it's a bunch of liberal bullshit.

Euron

I haven't read the books in years but I'm pretty sure connington blatantly says he was gay for rhaegar

Scrappy doo

You'd have to be a fag to swear off lands, children, and titles for another dude.

Show Euron is basically victarion, but with some attributes of book Euron thrown in there. They basically merged the two characters

holy based

Well fine, but if you get rid of GRRM's perverted fantasies, then he could be a great character.

kys

Show Euron is no where near as reserved or self-serious has Victarion. He takes on his reaver-soldier role, but that's it. Show Euron comes across as some particularly violent reaver that would work for either Euron or Victarion. Like their mad dog they occasionally unleash.

Show Euron is a cartoon villain i don't think he's anything like Victarion other than both being Greyjoys

>fuck fags xD
Le epic edge xD Time to post this on r/Yea Forums xP

One thing I hated about the show is how they didn’t wear proper armor and when they do swords can cut through it like plastic.

Shagwell the fool, instead we got lame generic badguys like what’s his name

Keep seething at the fact that John Connington is a fag, and a cucked fag at that.

kys

Ramsay sticks out as an example of this. He's commanding and army, surveying the battle, etc. but sits there in some leather jerking. No armor at all. The characters never ever wearing helmets was stupid but that was really taking the piss.

*jerkin

It’s even worse than that bc in season 1 they do make a big deal about Jorah’s armor providing better protection then completely ignore what they spent time establishing

FAegon who is actually Raegon when you realize hes supposed to be Henry Tudor and Dany is actually the illegitimate one because Daeron II was a bastard (same situation as Joffrey)

He's nothing like Victarion aside from his martial aspect.

Whose R'hllor-given purpose in repeated undeath was to be swarmed and stabbed by wights in a hallway.

And marital prospect. Fuck a queen.

That was Euron’s idea first in the book. He even brought it up at the Kingsmoot in the show and book version.

>Robert was the true steel. Stannis is pure iron, black and hard and strong, yes, but brittle, the way iron gets. He'll break before he bends. And Renly, that one, he's copper, bright and shiny, pretty to look at but not worth all that much at the end of the day

Attached: donal noye.jpg (450x600, 33K)

More fitting that Robert is iron, especially with that description. He was a warrior, once that part of his life was over he was essentially worthless.

If any gay is based enough to overcome pedophilia it’s JonCon. But the question is can any gay be that based?

It’s dark star time everytime

Donal was just seething over stannis making him eat rats in storm's end during Robert's rebellion

Minor character but I always liked this guy.

Perhaps so, and he is their redemption, the queer that was promised

He was pretty based but I can see why they cut him out. No idea why Wilas wasn't in the show though other than giving the token gay character more screentime

yes, i know he was technically in the show, but in the show he's basically just "some rich guy" who barely gets his name mentioned

Well I'll admit I really didn't remember much about him. I just saw him as a Targaryen Loyalist and among others could have returned to Westeros with Dany or Young Griff. This would have been much more satisfying and cool then Dany bringing a bunch of foreign mongrels to Westeros. The political side of the things would be more interesting. They kind of tried to do this with the Tyrells and Dorne joining Dany but then they just immediately died.

Stop posting pictures of my wife you fucking losers
Or else

>easily kills some faggot ex-Rainbow Kingsguard

No she wasn't. She excitedly thought it was going to be Loras (handsome af, her own age, someone she had actually met) when Olenna and Margaery went on about a betrothal but she quickly accepted with Willas and was perfectly fine with it, and became determined to be a good wife to him. Although, for what it's worth, that's just fan art. We have no idea what Willas looks like the books cause he's neither appeared in person nor do we have a physical description.

I don't think she was that upset, it's been a while since I read the books but I think she was just disappointed because she wanted to be married to Gigachad Loras, and all she knew about Wilas was that he was a cripple. I think she was okay being married to him though.

i'm still hoping Wilas still gets Sansa. he seems like a good dude from all that's been said about him and sansa deserves better. glad he dodged the bullet with Cersei.

At least Harry seems like an attractive Chad. Bit an arrogant dick but not a bad or evil person at the end of the day.

yeah but I doubt Littlefinger is actually gonna have her marry Harry.

The Tyrells are almost TOO nice for a Great House. Something's fishy.

The Reach are basically the Nicelands in the first place.
The land of chivalry, learning, abundant good wine and eternal summer.

Clearly spoken as someone who hasn't worked Iron or Steel, let alone copper.

Why not? He probably intents to fuck her and have her be 'his' in that sense but having her actually marry the guy poised to inherit the Eyrie and be Warden of the East if Sweetrobin dies is too good of an opportunity to pass up. From his perspective, they can get both the North and the Vale if things are played right.

Not really. Someone like Mace is an opportunistic, greedy fucker who keeps wanting more and more and more. Kevan notes as much. Garlan and Willas are based but not the whole House.

eh they aren't really that nice. Mace is described as an arrogant oaf, and the Queen of Thorns plotted with LF to assassinate Joffrey. We have no idea if Marg is as much of a schemer as she is in the show but it seems likely, but even if we count he as the nice ones that just makes her, Garlan and Loras as decent.

That doesn't make them any nicer than the Riverlands, The Vale Lords or the Starks.

everybody is like 10 years older in the show. I thought Stannis was the older brother at first cause he looks much older than Robert.

i just have no faith things will go well for Sansa.

In the show they made him look older after he does the shadow baby stuff, he has black hair before it and grey hair after.

He isn't, if you actually read the books. You've just been poisoned by showfaggotry. In the books even the most notoriously gay characters are hardly ever talked about as being gay and never actually shown to be doing gay shit. Loras, Renly and the Red Viper are the best examples of this. Yet in the show they're massive flaming degenerates who are constantly having sex in every scene or doing some sort of fag shit while everybody talks about how gay they are when mentioning them while they're off-screen.

In my head canon Osha is the one that kills the Night King. She had the right and knowledge. Also Bran could have taklen over her. what dafa.

Instead she dies to that idiot, totally wasted character

Attached: 4w6j0isrtjn.jpg (707x621, 339K)

they really did do loras dirty. the guy is pretty much just a gay jaime in the books minus sister-fucking but in the show it's like being gay is all that matters to his character. every scene with him is him fucking a dude or eyeballing a dude or flirting with a dude.

Every time I read about him in the books I imagined him looking exactly like Majin Buu (fat form)

Season 1 did him well enough. They had him give a rose to Sansa at the tournament, because the point was everybody sees him as a prince charming Lancelot type, basically nobody knows that he's a homo. Then we got season 2 and from then on literally everybody knows he's a flaming faggot and he's constantly fucking every guy in sight.

That chest shaving scene with Renly was bizarre.
They did dumb shit too like at Joffrey's wedding they had Loras being insulted with the dwarf as Renly riding a puppet representing him or vice versa or something, More anachronistic bullshit as House Tyrell being insulted so openly would have caused a scandal.

they also had a dwarf to represent the lannister army, shit made no sense

Yea and that's why making characters gay is a horrible decision. Since there is this vocal community they have to pander to. If they don't talk about it, they'll say they are downplaying his gayness which is bigotry. That part of him has to be brought out front and center in every scene.

They were in the books too but I can't remember exactly what they did. I'm just certain that Loras was never insulted like that openly.

Nice to see appreciation for the based tyrell brothers, it's really too bad marg died too. Really too bad she had pancake tits also. They were the best family apart from the parents, but olenna filled the gap, and even loras was cool.

I really hope they turn out better in the books, in the show I was especially disappointed at how fucking garbage highgarden looks and uh yeah bronn.

Attached: d53y7tv-588ec2ff-e910-4102-9c55-1eb32100f419.jpg (900x1500, 1.19M)

I think they could've made him gay, and not had to deal with that. I mean Oberyn was bi and he only had like, one or two big scenes about it. I don't even mind one or two gay sex scenes. He just got flanderized to the level that being a gay twink was all his character was.
In the books there were only two dwarves, one representing Stannis and one representing Robb, so nobody was insulted.

Would have liked to see the smiling knight in a flashback, guy was pretty spoopy.

Attached: 01fe8377fcf74203dcea02b105032e7b.jpg (500x750, 45K)

And then we have this joke of a fight in the same season.

youtube.com/watch?v=NN30YMzja6Y

I think Margaery will marry Aegon in the books, sealing a powerful alliance. The Tyrells supported the Targaryens the longest in the previous war and they want out of the Lannister clusterfuck regime.

>I mean Oberyn was bi and he only had like, one or two big scenes about it.

Almost every scene he was in was him doing some gay/bi shit or at least talking about it/being mentioned. I fucking hate how they portrayed him in the show. It took so much of the impact of the character away by focusing on his sexuality right up until he fights the mountain, something it has no relevance to. He is a far more effective character in the books.

That whole little arc with him and the mountain was my favorite part of the books up until the show ruined it for me. Or, at least, it was on par with Ned's dream of the Tower of Joy or Stannis running down wildling shits with his heavy cavalry.

>thinking joffrey was the target

who was her target then?
it makes sense that she wanted Joffrey out of the picture since he was such a little shit to deal with

I don't recall it being that bad. I recall he fucked around with Littlefinger's brothel manager, and made eyes at Loras but his character seemed far more focused on getting revenge and his duel with the Mountain than anything else. Sure maybe it was a bit much in the show but it was way better than what Loras has. He has scenes with Tywin, Cersei, Tyrion, and the Small Council where him being bi isn't even mentioned. I actually prefer show Oberyn just because I think Pedro Pascal did a great job with it.

Loras literally doesn't have a single scene where him being gay isn't the center part of him. People don't even fucking talk about him without mentioning that he's gay.

This. This is exactly why JonCon is a good character. He has an intense guilt over letting Rhaegar down. So he compensates by letting an obvious fake become his redemption arc. The flashbacks he has about Rhaegar shows he not only loved him but also idealized the prince. I think Dany has visions about him too, looking sadly at her.

*gets btfo by Stannis*
OH NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

sweet summerchild, the pie was poisoned. What the fuck good is a married Sansa. Tbh the QoT wasnt even involved.

someone post that fat Sansa pic please.

Attached: 234.png (537x377, 397K)

people seem to think that Tyrion was the target, as Joffrey doesn't start choking until after he eats Tyrion's slice of pie, but it's not really confirmed either way. LF claims Joffrey was the target but he's not exactly a trustworthy source of information.

who should play the greyjoys in the inevitable roberts's rebellion and greyjob rebellion prequel show?

Why would they target Tyrion? The Tyrells feared Joffrey.

The show could not help but make Stannis arriving something sinister as hell. Also, the whole Wilding siege thing was so dumb.
>10 guys at max begin climbing up the Wall
>Towards end of battle, dramatic quick zoom in on them like they're a big threat
>Unleash a fucking scythe to take care of them
>Not killing them when close to the top with arrows or swords or taking care of them easily if they do make it to the top considering how exhausted they'll be and outnumbered. Jon also tanked having his face slammed into a fucking anvil too.

Because they and LF wanted Sansa and her claim to the North, and she was married to Tyrion.

"They" didn't target anyone. Littlefinger did. Tyrion knows he lied about the dagger, and Tyrion is married to his waifu.

He cute

Is he a good swordsman or just an eye candy?

>I think Margaery will marry Aegon in the books, sealing a powerful alliance.
Arianne will marry Aegon, House Tyrell will join in revenge for the Sept blowing up

Yeah. That was legitimately when I stopped watching. I loved the FOOKIN' LEGEND guy but the seige was so hillariously bad. Jon not only managing to not get knocked out from having his head slammed into an anvil, but surviving it in general. That kid nodding to Jon approvingly after killing Ygritte too, fuck it was hilarious but terrible at the same time.

He is of the night

>Descended from either Dayne lineage or Targ lineage
>Known as the most dangerous man in Dorne
>Reminds people of Rhaegar

Likely a very good swordsman. Loras-tier at least, likely a bit higher.

Bloodraven

Just eye candy. Arianne and the sand snakes are total brainlets according to the Areo chapters

I mean everyone in Dorne keeps hyping him as a great swordsman

I honestly think that Jon Connington could've been a decent addition even without Faegon. He could've been the one begging Jon to take the throne instead of Varys. It'd make more sense too since he wouldn't give a damn about "worthiness" to the throne, he'd just support him due to him being Rhaegar's son.

I think they just hype him up as dangerous and amoral, I don't recall him ever being touted as a great fighter but it's not out of the possibility that he is one, after all that would contribute to him being so dangerous.

Or Sam and Jon's conversation in the beginning about sex and vows. That's them again inserting modern shit into the show. Same thing with Bronn laughing at Dickon's name or Olenna's 'He really was a cunt, wasn't he'. I don't think they ever really understood the world GRRM made considering all that shit or Cersei being Queen and having a stable position instead of facing countless revolting lords and rebellious smallfolk.

Balon Swann

Attached: GT26_69.jpg (300x419, 35K)

The guy is always pissed off that he hasn't been made a Sword of the Morning and given Dawn. At the very least he believes he's an extremely good swordsman worthy of it. With people hyping him up all the time it's probably true.

Same. He's basically the same Brightflame. Feared to an extent cause of his cruelty, cutthroat nature but also a tryhard that goes over board trying to intimidate people. Brightflame ranting on about being a dragon and Dayne about of being the night.

I thought he was pissed off at being compared to the Sword of the Mourning? He claims he's of the night specifically to differentiate himself from Arthur Dayne and forge his own legend.

Darkstar is innocent

Euron is a physco he probably raped her for amusement and to see what Victorian would do.Being Victorian's wife she probably be scared to cheat and would be very ugly.

He's pissed about it because people don't consider himself worthy of Dawn, so he copes by saying "fuck that faggot shit anyway, I'm way cooler.". He talks about the sword but I can't remember the exact phrasing.

Didn't have those lips till after the exile. He was probably a sociopathic, evil piece of shit before but his travels around the world is what really forged something dangerous.

The funniest thing is it was victarions salt wife, all this beef over a thrall

based

he's gonna die

you want a good girl but you need the bad pussy

Disturbing lack of Manderlys ITT.

Ser Lynn, just because of lady forlorn.

if hes so good why doesnt he have Dawn

Why does victarion not simply kill euron?

hawks actually

connigton was and is super gay for rhaegar. take your conservative propaganda somewhere else

It was a disaster. What's bizarre is that it always would have been a shitty adaption but they could have easily made Doran at least resemble his book character without changing the plot. Dorne joins Dany in the show, so just have Doran take Ellaria aside in s5 or s6, give his 'Vengeance. Justice. Fire and Blood' revelation and then next you see of Dorne they're with Dany and this was all a part Doran's revenge plot. That negates the absurd scene where he's killed and Areo dies immediately after been stabbed once in the back with a small knife. But they do dumb shit with knife deaths all the time, like Roose being stabbed with a blade that would not have caused an exist would but then have a massive pool of blood spread out from his back when he's read on the floor.

balon doesn't want kinslaying

but he's respectable so he's basically not gay

Victarion himself is loath to kill Euron lest he gets labelled a kinslayer. Then in the show you have Jaime murder his cousin for no good reason at all and this is never a big deal.

Shame Willas and Garlan are going to get brutally BTFO when Euron starts his evil viking wizard fuckery.

Nah, Willas breeds hawks but he bonds with Oberyn over horses.

>The Dornishman did not react as expected. “I had a letter from Willas not half a year past. We share an interest in fine horseflesh.

If rhaegars dick and a bag of gold were placed in front of him, he's sucking that dick user. Dude is literally lying to himself about "Aegon"

For me, it's Arianne

I keep saying it would be the perfect casting considering Stevenson nailed both Pullo and Blackbeard.
Victarion really is a combination of both those characters.

Attached: IMG_20170627_154303.jpg (616x1084, 49K)

He's not a Starfall Dayne. They also probably think he's an asshole.

I honestly think that he's either the real Aegon or he's one of Oberyn's basards.

Attached: Gerion Lannister.jpg (250x361, 31K)

is Doran still alive in the books?

If Mace croaked and all the other insane shit with the War of the Five Kings never happened, Willas probably could have went down as one of great Tyrell lords by managing to repair the Reach-Dorne rivalry with Doran and Oberyn.

because he's infamous for how cruel he is

>Arianne
terrible character, probably a 10/10 cumdump though

yes but in his chapters, joncon isn't parading through the streets in a thong, snorting coke and guzzling cum from holes in the walls so he's basically not gay.

>m-more Frey pies your L-lordship?

Attached: wyman_manderly_ffg_7208.jpg (300x375, 29K)

.....except the sand snakes don't believe ariannes story for a second. Darkstar didn't do anything to myrcella, or her handmaiden, whoever was on that horse.

Yes. Ellaria is also the pacifist peacemaker that doesn't want more bloodshed unlike the violent hag in the show. The Sand Snakes are initially pissed at Doran for perceiving him as doing nothing to get revenge for Oberyn but they'd never kill their uncle, and whereas they straight up murder their own cousin Trystane in the show (with sadistic glee, I might add), they are totally aghast at this plot Cersei has in the books to bring Trystane to KL but have him murdered en route there. As I said, a disaster of an adaption.

damm i couldve sworn it was some bird shit

Probably, he comes across as a bro for being so understanding about Oberyn accidentally crippling him.
he was referenced in the show but not by name when Tyrion talked about the uncle he asked to give him dragons on his birthday but then retconned when Tyrion claimed Jaime was the only person who never treated him like a monster

Val

I wanted Jon to go north with her (and south on her) in the epilogue

>AEGON FREY, GODS WHAT A STUPID NAME

No, hes just longing for his Gay crush so much he thinks the golden company would fight for a targ bitch. That's gay af

Didn't they give this scene to Arya?

Arianne is supposed to be attractive

that has nothing to do with Darkstar's reputation. He's infamous for being dangerous and cruel well before the Myrcella incident.
probably because wilas is also famous for breeding hawks and shit

I'm surprised they never adapted her. She's a hot as fuck exotic girl that gets naked, wears revealing clothing, uses her body to her advantage, and could easily play into the obnoxious feminist stuff D&D started doing to negate earlier criticism.
Why's that? I like the character quite a bit actually.

Lord Lamprey was the biggest insult to not add, the entire "north remembers" thing was complete bullshit and ruined by arya, should've been the northern lords who served Frey pies, betrayed the boltons and saved Theon n Sansa, not fucking Brienne

It's honestly a shame we never got to see Skagosi Rickon who's now damaged-tier.

Same with Davos never making it to the Sisters, so many interesting places that got skipped over.

BASED

Can you blame Mace? I mean shit, he's worrying that the rest of the Reach will revolt. Tyrells need as much power as they can get. Their rule of the Reach and Highgarden was only possible through the Targ backing. They can't go off and claim to be an independent kingdom like the others because as soon as that happens, the other houses will turn on them and overthrow them.

Goddamn, and shit like this is why I'm further mad about Bronn gaining the Reach. His head would be on a pike on the very first day that he's named lord of the Reach.

name one gay thing about wanting to kiss your bro on the lips

also the golden company know he's a blackfyre same as joncon

It has everything to do with his reputation. Some reputations are not earned user. Its a smear job by doran against the Stony dornish.

they did dorne the way they did because they really liked Ellaria Sand's actress and thought the whole strong empowered woman thing would go over real well. When it turned out to be a shitshow and everybody hated it they just panic canned Dorne and never looked back.

Attached: patches.jpg (400x406, 127K)

I'm not saying Darkstar actually is as cruel and dangerous as his reputation suggests, but he does have the reputation of being a snake regardless of attacking Myrcella, and that's probably why he's not granted the Sword of the Mourning.

The helmet thing is deliberate and very common in almost any movie/tv series because obscuring the faces of actors confuses the general audience.
For example there was a study years ago about Eowyn in Return of the King, where many viewers completely forgot/missed who the character was in certain scenes, even when she was talking, just because they couldn't quickly identify her. With common complaints that her story was "jumpy" or "incoherent", or that her location in the battle scenes were "distracting and confusing".

It's also one of the major reasons even shows that try to be 'realistic' will give most/all major characters very unique and identifiable clothing, even if it wouldn't make sense in the setting.

Yeah but with so much less gravitas since Arya immediately pulls her "twas me along James" monologue.

In the Manderly storyline, they just keep quipping about it without being obvious either.

Little Finger was behind Joffery's assassination as an elaborate false flag to get his wifu's daughter and to fuck Tyrion over. Little Finger payed a drunk knight to poison Joffery and to take Sansa to him, all because Sansa convinced Joffery to spared his life. Littlefinger also made it look like Tyrion was behind the assassination by igniting tension in the wedding by convincing Jofffery to hire dwarves to entertain him on the night of the wedding. Furthermore, Sansa was newly wed to Tryrion and lost half of her family to the Lannisters, which gave people even more of a reason to suggest that Sansa conspired with Tyrion. This of course would further motivate Sansa to flee on the night of the wedding even when to offer to flee was giving to her long before the wedding.
You have to admit how detailed Litterfinger's plan was.

Attached: Sardag_littlefinger[1].jpg (409x640, 32K)

That's an interesting angle, though part of it also seems to stem from his own insecurity over the fact the Tyrells were never kings like the Starks. Having someone part Tyrell on the throne will stroke his ego in addition to stabilising their position.
>Goddamn, and shit like this is why I'm further mad about Bronn gaining the Reach. His head would be on a pike on the very first day that he's named lord of the Reach.
That's also why Cersei becoming Queen was absurd. The smallfolk and lords would be up in arms of this. She would absolutely not have a stable position like in the show that was only threatened by something external like Dany. Hell, Robert had to have his Targaryen ancestry to legitimise his ascension, and he was in a very militarily strong position and well liked by the smallfolk,

>Val
What could have been

Attached: michalka.jpg (334x500, 59K)

HOLY SHIT guys I have fucking worked it out!

The Darkstar is the "Stone Dragon".

Think about it.

Attached: 1552050089747.jpg (640x689, 44K)

Her presence is absolutely pointless outside of her one use as a pawn to marry off to Viserys/Aegon.

>My son Wendel came to the Twins a guest. He ate Lord Walder's bread and salt, and hung his sword upon the wall to feast with friends. And they murdered him. Murdered, I say, and may the Freys choke upon their fables. I drink with Jared, jape with Symond, promise Rhaegar the hand of my own beloved granddaughter ... but never think that means I have forgotten. The north remembers, Lord Davos. The north remembers, and the mummer's farce is almost done. My son is home.

>instead the North in the show are just a bunch of fairweather faggots with no loyalty or spine whatsoever

He's not granted sword in the morning because he's not a Starfall dayne, as someone pointed out before. He's Gerald daynes cousin, a lesser house.

They change a lot of stuff based on the actors. Cersei and Margaery were changed because their liked Heady and Dormer too. They probably never made Tyrion as dark as he gets in the books cause they liked Dinklage or were too chickenshit to have such a popular character become increasingly unlikable and dark.

Wouldn't killing Tyrion just be easier user. Joffrey ate Tyrions pie.

They're medieval France, basically the juggernaut who can afford not to be a scheming shit since they can storm anybody they want with heavy cavalry anyways.

probably that too, but I think his reputation would be an issue either way

band of brothers deliberately made the major characters remove their helmets most of the time, even in a situation where it would never realistically happen, just to avoid confusing the viewer

dont tempt me like that user

Attached: ss (2019-05-17 at 05.11.49).jpg (1456x876, 494K)

..... you're retarded, user.

based, but im pretty sure he got BTFO'd in winterfell by one of the Freys. Or did he live?

that's very mean

You've reminded me of the fact that in the books there are different accents for different regions. Tyrion thinks at one point his accent will immediately mark him as a westerman, so I've got to wonder if George has any firm ideas of what the accents of different regions are like.

people shit on Georges writing but that qoute right there is great, "my son is home"

I think they dressed up a confrontation with the Freys so that Roose would want to send the Freys and Manderly forces outside. Upon which the Manderlys will link up with Stannis and slaughter the Freys.

I don't think anybody is hurt, they just throw food around and namecall each other.

No helmets is dumb but something I can understand. But Ramsay sitting there in a leather jerkin was really taking the piss.

his broken man speech is so fucking good man. it humanises the poor smallfolk who get btfo'd any lord wants to have a go at the the throne. thats why Jamies and Briennes chapters are so good in AFFC because we see what TWOFK actually did to the lands they were seeking to rule

Shit picture. Renly is supposed to look almost identical to young Robert.

He's still alive. One of the seething Freyfaggots actually attacked him but didn't kill him after he BTFOd them after they found a Frey kid dead in the snow.

Wyman: “…I confess that I know little of this poor boy. Lord Ramsay’s squire, was he not? How old was the lad?”

Hosteen Frey: “Nine, on his last nameday."

Wyman: "So young, though mayhaps this was a blessing. Had he lived, he would have grown up to be a Frey."

That's canon, birthing shadow babies sapped Stannis lifeforce. By the last one Melisandre dares not do it again or else it could kill Stannis.

no i remember that he was stabbed in one of his fourchins and blood went everywhere. a bunch of frey and manderly men died.

Best speech coming through

youtu.be/DBiNdwcF4WU

Young Robert fan art has him clean shaven like 1 times out of 10.

Stannis

ASOIAF has a lot of shit lines and a lot of great ones, it's a mixed bag, but George gets a lot of unwarranted shit on here because people just post the worst ones, which are admittedly pretty bad but hardly representative of the entire book.

To carry on the allegory, same as France, the Tyrells are right where they want to be and the people that give the most trouble are offshoots of their own country (the Tyrell claim is contested by the Hightowers and Florents, same as how France had to deal with the Plantagenets in England, their royal cousins in Burgundy, etc...).

They don't have too many outside threats.

no fuck you Maribalds broken man speech is kino

It's from the offical Clash Of Kings comic adaption

What, the 'sunset found her squatting' one that has been meme'd hard? It's not as if it's meant to be akin to the birth of the dragons or the description of the Blackwater. It's meant to have a humour, tongue in cheek edge. Funnily enough, I thought that chapter was a great one overall.

>Wyman: "So young, though mayhaps this was a blessing. Had he lived, he would have grown up to be a Frey."
We missed out on this, frick.

I also wish we'd gotten a more human portrayal of the Freys. They're scheming fricks too but for a young mercantile house, they're doing good for themselves.

god the fatmans fatman is so based
im glad that anus frey got btfod and fell into a ditch outside of winterfell

Pls, if I look back, I am lost.

Dany alone with Drogon IS a good chapter. GRRM's prose significantly improves with the fifth book.

the only thing more jewish than the Freys are the (((iron bank)))

it's a good speech but that guy sounds hilarious

Only the Tullys command less respect from their lords.

Tyrells have one of the weakest holds on their lands because they weren't ever kings and lack legitmancy.

same with the Tullys except the Tully's got fucked even harder since they're actually weaker than a lot of their lords.

Even House Bracken can raise more soldiers

Nah I'm more talking about "fat pink mast" or "their arousal made him aroused" when I think of the truly shit lines. Sunset found her squatting in the grass is fine.

>"Who knows more of gods than I? Horse gods and fire gods, gods made of gold with gemstone eyes, gods carved of cedar wood, gods chiseled into mountains, gods of empty air... I know them all. I have seen their peoples garland them with flowers, and shed the blood of goats and bulls and children in their names. And I have heard the prayers, in half a hundred tongues. Cure my withered leg, make the maiden love me, grant me a healthy son. Save me, succor me, make me wealthy... protect me! Protect me from mine enemies, protect me from the darkness, protect me from the crabs inside my belly, from the horselords, from the slavers, from the sellswords at my door. Protect me from the Silence." He laughed. "Godless? Why, Aeron, I am the godliest man ever to raise sail! You serve one god, Damphair, but I have served ten thousand. From Ib to Asshai, when men see my sails, they pray."

Yea, check out the other ones, they're super funny

So is it going to be
>Daenerys = William the Conqueror
>fAegon = Harold

Because that seems to be the general set-up for what is going to happen, but fAegon being William makes a bit more sense if he was more directly copying history. Either way fAegon is going to get killed by her.

Attached: 1342255759294.jpg (800x1196, 382K)

The Freys are supposed to represent a house not living off their lands and serfs, but for the service rendered with their bridge.

Everybody hates them for being a young upstart house and that's not nice.

yeah the tyrells have to bow to the Redwynes and the Hightowers where as the other great houses do not

>you will never be a mute on his ship raping women all over the world

Attached: 1502625764703.png (534x629, 104K)

>Either way fAegon is going to get killed by her.
Is he going to get burned?

>My sweet niece would give is peace, and pinecones

So good

People only meme on that chapter because it's gross and they have no context for the story because they're either showfags or hate the series and never read it. There's nothing wrong with it.

How is GRRM going to finish :
-The dorne+ young gryff storyline
-The fish/undead people that patchface sings about
-Euron ascent into c'thulu godhood
-The war of the two dragons ( I assume blackfyre and Dany )
-The white walkers
-The bloodravens suggested evil goals
-Stonheart
-The goals of the faceless men gathering info on dragons and magic

In only two books?

Attached: 2spz7b.jpg (720x620, 53K)

>Even House Bracken can raise more soldiers
Not normally, the Tully just got most of their army wrecked at the start of the war since their Lands are the closest to the West.

They give me Medici vibes.

Don't forget that literally every lord can claim the Reach because according to all their family lores they descended from House Gardener.

yeah thats why I called them jewish
also how fucking retarded is tytos lannister for marrying Gemma to a fucking frey

>a mute on his ship raping women all over the world
Bold of you to assume he isn't doing the rape all by himself

Favorite qoute from book or show? for me its "Am Darkstar, and im of the night

The same could be said of the north, as well. Starks weren't the original Kings of winter

Isn't it meant to be awkward because it's Sam's POV?
I'd say in the first view books the prose was mostly of brevity except for certain chapters where it would get more elaborate, like the birth of the dragons.
The guy's readings are cringe. He does Barritan's speech as well which is pretty funny, especially with the music and him inserting 'Red dawn. DRAGON DAWN!' into the speech.

No?

Same

People meme it because they're funny and gross lines. Which I think GRRM intended. It's not much different from 10 year olds laughing hysterically when someone says "poop" in class.

Wyllas speech to the entire manderly court, hands down

Euron doesn't like sharing his toys.

Most likely outcome is he conquers his way to King's Landing, sits on the Iron Throne. Dany shows up, gets extremely pissed that someone has not only beaten her to the throne, but has a more legitimate claim that she cannot deny and who is loved by the people, making her entire journey a pointless. This is where she'll truly snap as a character and sack King's Landing, probably leading to fAegon being captured and executed by her.

6000 manuscript pages of pure biblio

People that have an intense hatred for the books on this board always come across as guys that hate the show and never ever read the books based on all the sarcastic 'Bravo GRRM!' or 'Fuck GRRM' stuff when critiquing only show stuff. They cannot separate the books from the show cause they don't know shit.

Dorne+young Griff+KL merge into one story line
Patchface doesnt have a storyline, he is like Quaithe, giving out random bits of info
Euron in the reach will be its on pov
After Griff takes KL, the dany and griff storyline will merge
The north gets its own storyline
beyond the wall gets its own storyline until they merge with the north when bran comes back down
stoneheart is going to res jon then die
Arya will have her own storyline

When things start to wrap up, shit will move much faster

>fAegon being captured and executed by her.
sword? dragon?

Literally every time Aegon is mentioned in Yea Forums you guys talk about him being a fake with 100% certainty. I've done three passes through all of the books and nothing suggests that he is a fake. Even Tyrion could see it in him that he's a targaryen

GRRM doesn't know how to finish it, that's why its taking so long.

they conquered everyone hundreds of years before Aegon rocked up in Westeros

shame he got cucked so hard in the show

Attached: DMV4ySGW0AAnWBz.jpg (907x1200, 202K)

It stems from external lore about the Golden Company that were founded by Blackfyres and used by them during their rebellions and attempt to gain the throne.

So will Stoneheart be the one to kill all the freys or will it be arya as well in the books?

Who here sisterman?

Attached: godric_borrell_by_ghostalbino300_d9sp86z-pre.jpg (968x826, 56K)

Probably Stoneheart.

Some characters suggest he is fake. Daemon with Arriane suggests it, Kevan claims he's likely fake, and the Golden Company are worried that nobody will believe that he's real unless he marries Dany.

Granted none of these are hardly confirmations, I think people are just rightfully skeptical of this secret baby prince actually being saved.

>Ser Hosteen Frey ripped his longsword from its scabbard and leapt toward Wyman
Manderly. The Lord of White Harbor tried to jerk away, but the tabletop pinned him to his
chair. The blade slashed through three of his four chins in a spray of bright red blood.
Lady Walda gave a shriek and clutched at her lord husband’s arm.

>It took two score Dreadfort spearmen to part the combatants and put an end to the
carnage. By that time six White Harbor men and two Freys lay dead upon the floor.

>Winter is almost upon us, boy. And winter is death. I would sooner my men die fighting for the Ned’s little girl than alone and hungry in the snow, weeping tears that freeze upon their cheeks. No one sings songs of men who die like that. As for me, I am old. This will be my last winter. Let me bathe in Bolton blood before I die. I want to feel it spatter across my face when my axe bites deep into a Bolton skull. I want to lick it off my lips and die with the taste of it on my tongue.
i just can't help but feel when a northerner says 'The Ned'

Is Varys a targaryen or are you guys memeing?

I like how more White Harbor men died. Kind of implies they are so much more angry than the Freys that they really, really went for it in that fight.

It should be Stoneheart, why make Cat a zombie if she's not gonna kill every Frey man, woman and child.

Question is, will she kill Roslin too? Last I recall she was in the Twins and after giving birth they'd take her to Casterly Rock to be with Edmure.

Why does varys shave his head? Why does he have a valyrian name? Why does illyrios wife "Serra" have a similar name to a blackfyre exile?
Why is a sellsword company literally founded by exiles who hate Targaryens going to suddenly fight for a Targaryen?

Aegon is a trick, a shadow on the wall.

-Young Griff quickly conquers king's landing, gets btfo by Dany when she arrives setting up Dany's end-game.
-Patchface talks about fish shit but it always ends up being prophecies about people who don't have much/anything to do with the drowned god. He's just a weird prophet, will probably have something to do with Shireen and the spreading of greyscale, which is probably the "stone dragon".
-Euron will be a major bane to Daenerys, but will probably fuck himself over with his attempted apotheosis and lose out that way.
-Second Dance of Dragon's is likely between Jon and Dany, Aegon is fake. Jon will take one of her dragons and be able to maintain it's loyalty due to his ability to warg. Or he'll get the dragon that rose from book 2, if that was an actual dragon. Hell, maybe the faceless men dragon will end up being his, who knows.
-White Walkers are going to fuck everybodies shit up in the last book, there will be a long night where they AT LEAST push to the neck, if not significantly further over a significant period of time.
-Who knows about Bloodraven
-Lady Stoneheart will have a change of heart (lol) in regards to Jon and feel genuine deep remorse for how poorly she treated him his whole life. She will transfer her immortality to him, much like Beric did to her.
-Who knows with the faceless man and the maesters. Shit is a mystery.

>Hell, maybe the faceless men dragon will end up being his
Hwaht. They have a dragon?

He's from Essos if he's anything he's a Blackfyre. It'd fit with him trying so hard to put Young Griff on the throne.

who says that, they sound fucking based?
is it crowsfood?

Jaqen steals a book on how to kill dragons from the Citadel, I don't think they intend to actually ride one though.

but it implies that the Freys are better fighters which I disagree. Surely if the white harbour dudes were mad, more freys wouldve died

>loras
>gigachad
Dude, Garland is what you'd call a gigachad, or a chad in general, Loras is just a prettyboy.

One of the Northern Wildling clan characters, they're the ones who refer to Ned as "The Ned".

The brotherhood are 100% ambushing the train that is taking Edmure back to The Rock, thats why Sevenstreams is in Riverrun, he is informing for the brotherhood.

he's called Wull

Loras is more famous because he's a tourneyfag so he probably looks more like a Gigachad to the impressionable Sansa.

Dreadfort men broke up the fight. They probably killed the ones that would not take no for an answer and get trying to fight and kill. That's how I like to see it.

>There are no men like me, only me.
>By what right does the wolf judge the lion?
>Rhaegar fought valiantly, Rhaegar fought nobly, Rhaegar fought honorably. And Rhaegar died.

Off the top of my head.

It's theo wull

Garlan is a Henry Cavill kind of Chad. Loras is a River Phoenix or young Leo kind of Chad.

Probably dragon. Then she can say "He was no true dragon" again.

>The blood of the First Men still flows in the veins of the Starks, and we hold to the belief that the man who passes the sentence should swing the sword. If you would take a man's life, you owe it to him to look into his eyes and hear his final words. And if you cannot bear to do that, then perhaps the man does not deserve to die.

kino

I thought we only knew that Jaqen needed the key to access some shit in the citadel. where do we find out that they stole a book on killing drags

According to Fire And Blood the new book the Tullys actually suck compared to a few of their bannermen

They took a risk joining Aegon first so they were rewarded

Starks were the first kings of the entire north, there was a lot of petty kings before that.

Oh fuck I forgot that was him in the prologue.

Catelyn's whole conversation with Jaime was a highlight moment in that book, and it was rich with atmosphere considering it was a dimly lit dungeon;

Why do people think the bloodraven is evil?

fair enough

>showfag quotes
user i

Mance is also known as "the mance" - seems he was doing a lot of trips over the wall

because blackfyre faggots have nothing better to do

>"Power resides where men believe it resides" t. Varys, the mastermind behind Aegon's conquest.
>Using the Golden Company as his primary force
>Dany's vision of a "mummer's (fake) dragon" in book 2, being paraded

He's a Blackfyre, which makes him technically fake as he is not Aegon. But he is a Targ.

Not sure about the second one, but the other two are book quotes.

>By what right does the wold judge the lion

I actually quite like GRRM's prose but it always bothers me when the characters start talking about themselves like they're their house's sigil walking like a bunch of fucking larpers.

because he literally feeds bran his own friend

Those are all book quotes

Wikifag pls

Because he's a targaryen fucking shit

Attached: TARGARYEN FUCKING SHIT!.jpg (718x685, 284K)

Stoneheart will kill Little Finger. Cat was his one weakness and even his crazy Machiavellian ways couldn't possibly predict her being "alive" as a zombie.

It's mummer's dragon, the apostrophe makes the dragon possessive, as in a dragon belonging to a mummer. Varys is a mummer, so I think mummer's dragon just means Aegon is his dragon, not that hes' fake.

It makes sense to me. In the real world we also refer to entire countries by the capitals or important buildings, i.e. 'Washington and the Kremlin have formed an uneasy alliance'

my bad, im not a wikifag tho

Are all the sand snakes going to get raped in the books or what?

Bloodraven and Dunk got along pretty well though

You are right, but that's because he's a Blackfyre. He's technically a real dragon. But he isn't the real Aegon.

this, Quaithe's prophecy doesn't necessarily mean that Aegon is fake, only that he belongs to Varys

Also Euron paid the faceless men to kill Balon by giving them a dragon egg.

That's because dunk is a blackwood bastard

why would he lie about it to Victarion then? saying that he threw it over board

>Dead things in the wood. Dead things in the water. Six ships left, of the eleven that set sail. Jon Snow rolled up the parchment, frowning. Night falls, he thought, and now my war begins.
Love the chapter when the Wildings enter the Seven Kingdoms. It was spooky as hell despite the fact Hardome never appeared in the show.

based tbqh, best house.
because in the books it's not confirmed he killed Balon, some people suspect it but him just outing himself as a kinslayer wouldn't be in his interests. It would make everyone turn on him.

yeah but Bloodraven looks evil

Attached: ss (2019-05-25 at 04.48.39).jpg (881x897, 318K)

So is the bloodraven going to posses Bran? Or at least attempt to? He seems way to helpful..

He's not fake, hes just not a Targaryen, he's a blackfyre

Remember meribald telling brienne about the inn having a black dragon sign, but it rusted and turned red?

>Kind of hate Daemon's armor
>Kind of like it too

Red or Black a dragon is still a dragon. It's his claim that is fake. He's claiming to be Aegon and thus, the legitimate heir to the throne, when the reality is he's a blackfyre.

its obvious that the faceless men killed Balon, but where is the evidence supporting that he paid them with a dragon egg

fits his horse

Attached: ss (2019-05-25 at 04.50.55).jpg (650x987, 280K)

It is confirmed. He told Aeron he killed Balon a TWoW sample chapter. Euron has killed three siblings in his lifetime.

Because he didn't want to say "I paid the faceless men to kill our brother so I could become king".

He admits to kinslaying in the twow forsaken chapter

Great chapter btw. The description of Aeron's physical state is unsettling, like with how puffy and swollen his limbs have become.

>No red stained birthmark on bloodravens face

Gtfo

The fact that Euron says he'd throw something like a Dragon's egg overboard for being useless when he's found a use for every other magical thing he acquired. I also believe it's hinted at in the vision of Balon's death but I cannot even remember who saw that vision or what it said exactly.

It's high heart

It's because he has a helmet on

Attached: ss (2019-05-25 at 04.53.55).jpg (554x667, 176K)

Are the monstrous fish people/underwater undeads and Aegon's c'thulu pantheon the same?

>btfos Blackfyre fucking shits not once, not twice, not thrice but four times
seems pretty based to me
I meant confirmed to the general public. Obviously we know as readers and he admits to it in private to a captured and tortured Aeron, but he wouldn't just outright come out and say that to Victarion given the circumstances.

Attached: based bloodraven.jpg (986x763, 416K)

Ahhh ok - my autism knows no limits lol

To be honest, considering the story is filled with so many people who have Targ blood, why does it even matter who is or isn't a targaryen? I think literally every noble house has some targ blood from what i've read

Even the others

Outside of the Targs and Blackfyres, the only house with a lot of it is the Velaryons anyway.

I mean the Baratheons had what Orys and Bob's granny only.

>Book Bloodraven is unsettling yet vaguely elegant with the throne of weirwood that twists in and out of his limps, through his eye, and the leaves and fungus that grow on his body and he becomes literally one with nature
>Gets adapted as some normal old guy sitting in some roots

Dayne's also.

they just made him some friendly tree grandpa magician shit was retarded

put an eye patch on him and that's how I imagines Euron looked

>Who are the daynes
>Celtigar
>Massey

this is just off the top of my head. There's a multitude of houses with valyrian features

There was only the one Marriage though wasn't there?

Still I guess the Targs were always getting culled or marrying each other anyway so it';s not like many were ever available.

Attached: YiaJR.jpg (900x900, 229K)

It's on his cheek and neck under the helmet.

I wonder how Euron would react if someone pulled his eyepatch off. I kind of imagine him being highly irrational about his black eye and would sperg out massively if that happened. That would be kind of cool. When you have Chad villains that are so cool, collected, and always keep winning and acting smug, it's satisfying to see them finally lose it and rage.

>Lady Stoneheart will have a change of heart
Thats out of character

They have a lot of Valyrian blood for some reason. Lots of silver haired and/or purple eyed people.

In the twow forsaken chapter he now has a red eye that he shows quite willingly, it's even on his neck sails

It won't just come out of nowhere. Her character will develop. Beric gave her his power for a reason, the reason will be so that it can ultimately be passed on to the Azor Ahai.

how did we go from this to THIS

Attached: bloodraven-800x450.jpg (800x450, 76K)

Wait, really? His personal sigil always had a red eye as far as I recall but I can't remember his own eye literally becoming red.

>that is taking Edmure back to The Rock
are they going to kill him and his wife?
>MFW TWOW Prologue is named Edmure

>kinslayer

"Rise up, I say, and remember our true king across the water. Seven gods there are,
and seven kingdoms, and the Black Dragon sired seven sons! Rise up, my lords and ladies. Rise
up, you brave knights and sturdy yeomen, and cast down
Bloodraven, that foul sorcerer, lest
your children and your children's children be cursed forever"

Is it possible to argue against this without kinslaying?

Daemon Blackfyre is the rightful king

It's always been mentioned that he hides his eye behind an eye-patch and that it's red and black. Not in a metaphorical sense, it's literally red and balck.

They're working under Catelyn, I doubt she'd kill her little brother for no reason. She's twisted but she still remembers things. She only wants to kill Brienne because she's with Jaime.

I like book Edmure a lot. For some reason the show really liked shitting on him, like him missing the shots being made into a comedic scene with Blackfish acting like a dick instead of Blackfish taking over, sympathetically going 'shit happens' and telling him Hoster missed the shot when their own father died, and Edmure only missing cause he's grieving hard for the father he loved.

It's only been described as black as I recall his. His blue eye is his smiling one and the other one is described as black and filled with malice.

The twow prologue will include jeyne westerling, grrm already confirmed

Never really looked into the expanded lore too much, but would Daemon have made a great king?

>supporting traitors and usurpers
oh NO NO NO NO NO NO

Yeah, so it would make sense if it's from Edmure's POV. Like how Jaime verbally BTFO Jeyne's bitch mother.

does this mean jeyne is confirmed dead? all the prologue characters die

He's described as a great warrior knight but then again so was Bobby and he was a shit king. Martin makes a habit out of making it clear that being a badass knight doesn't qualify you to rule automatically, so I don't think Daemon would've turned out that great. The only reason people didn't like his Targ brother is because they thought he was a pussy faggot for enjoying books too.

>will include jeyne westerling
Robbs wife?
Oh
Oh no
Nymeria is going to shred them apart

spicer bitch

Blackfyre fucking shit thronelets When will they learn?

He never said she's the POV, just that she's involved

>he was a pussy faggot for enjoying books too
Another Martin self-insert

Treason..is only a word. When two princes fight over a chair where only one may sit, great lords and common men alike must choose. And when the battle's done, the victors will be hailed as loyal men and true, whilst those who were defeated will be known forevermore as rebels and traitors.

pretty much yeah, so I don't think the blackfyres wouldve been great.

FUCK STOP NOOOOOOOO

yeah and the blackfyres got shit on, traitors they are and traitors they'll forever be

H-how? There's so many characters both in the expanded lore and in the main book series with a so many personalities and backgrounds. Having some bookworm doesn't make it an automatic self insert at all. His favourite character, Tyrion, definitely isn't a self insert.

He's said Sam is his self-insert, while Tyrion is who he wishes he was.

t. thronelet Blackfyre

Enjoy getting Jewed by Braavosi in Essos.

Yeah Edmure is safe, but in a sense of irony I think Stoneheart will ambush Roslin and in her Frey rage kill her and her child. Just too ironic that in her hate she'll kill her Tully niece/nephew.

see
the answer is never

Until Young Griff takes the throne and "true" targ shits get btfo.

Blackfyre cope.

>implying Young Grif won't get BTFO by Dany and her dragons
meme character

Gentleman, this was a great thread, that is about to die. It was a pleasure.

Also, jeyne westerlings grandmother was the maegi that gave cersei her prophesy

It really was a pleasure. I'd just like too say... FUCK USURPERS. FUCK TRAITORS. FUCK BOBBY B, AND FUCK BLACKFYRE FUCKING SHITS!

another thread should be made

>The angry Aegor reserved particular loathing for his half-brother Brynden Rivers, whose mother, Melissa Blackwood, had replaced his own as their father's favorite mistress. Aegor loathed Brynden, who was known as Bloodraven, even further when Shiera Seastar, their beautiful half-sister and a fellow Great Bastard, chose Brynden over him.

>In the First Blackfyre Rebellion in 196 AC, Aegor sided with Daemon Blackfyre

>He died defeated and alone, a broken man in an alien land.

this is the fate of all blackfyre cucks, they simply cannot compete with Targ chads

I'm tempted to make one discussing whether ASoIaF should be readapted but as a high quality animation like pic related (which is basically an animated version of Dany desu).
