Apparently you skipped Season 8
Yes, he redeemed himself and became a better person DESPITE keeping loving Cersei
They create the most emotional conflict in the audience.
Jaime didn't get any redemption though imho. Not after the stuff that happened between him and Brienne, him going back to Cersei after all of that just to try and save her was one thing I did not expect from him. When the story was beginning to unfold in season 1-2 I genuinely thought he would be the one to end up killing Cersei himself.
>pumped and dumped Brienne
>outright stated he never cared about the smallfolk
>die hugging your psycho waifu sister
>redemption arc
kek
cringe
Ignoring that pic related's arc kinda was shat on in the end, the power of redemption arcs is that we all have that deep rooted hope that we can change and come back from our fuckups for the better.
You can't love Cersei and be a good person, the two are mutually exclusive.
>pic not related
Jaime's arc went a full 360. Fuck D&D.
Kino?
youtu.be
they're not
Hate to rivarly to friendship is the best kind of arc
I can feel it
we don't choose who we love
still unironically better than the show
>His "Kingslayer" title evolves from a title of shame to pride
God, why couldn't we have had this.
A character wanting to improve themselves, isn't necessarily a redemption arc. I'm pretty sick of everyone using the term "redemption arc" as if redemption was a given. Too often, people assume characters need to grow, in order to justify their journey. There's no basis for it.
not saying much
I'm pretty sure I'm the books he'll strangle her.
Also think that Jon Snow will kill Daenerys to make light bringer to kill the night King.
>childish anime fantasy crap
"no"
or even that good deads mean 'growth', usually just means a fixation on the past and overwhelming sense of guilt.
Brienne writing his deeds redeemed his whole ending you dumb redditor
That's really creative and entertaining.
yea, but that was undone when she closed the book without letting the ink dry
Thing is it can't be "love" because their relationship was entirely based on their own narcissistic tendencies. Their love for "each other" was just self love. Cersei cannot love anyone but herself and that's what he loved about her, because he was also a narcissist. They parted ways when he began to realize the world doesn't revolve around him, and it didn't make sense for him to go back to her when she hadn't grown as a person in any way whatsoever.
Myrcella loved Cersei and she was literally the best person in all of Westeros
Myrcella was a dumb spoiled child, she hadn't even grown old enough for Cersei to give her "the talk" she gave to Sansa and fuck her up in the head like she almost definitely would have if given the opportunity.
open field, ned
This
And seh was glad her uncle was also her father and she was a product of incest season 5 sucks so much
You're right. Arya's leap of a trampoline was much more realistic.
Jaime parting with Brienne intentionally mirrored Jon parting with Ghost. Neither of them meant it but they wanted to be mean so they wouldn't be missed as much if they never came back.
God season 8 was hot garbage, I hope D&D get fucking blacklisted.
They're doing the next Star Wars movie lmao
That's actually why they wanted a shorter final season when HBO wanted 10 episodes
After season 5 I only watched a few scenes here and there, but Brienne finishing his pages almost made me tear up
If I was a Disney exec I'd dump them as quick as possible after this fucking fiasco.
>I'll see you on race day, champ
How is it that shitposting retards on a board can write something so much more meaningful in 5 minutes?
>they're both gone now
Old Myrcella>>>>NuMyrcella
That scene was the only good part of that entire shitshow.
Because most people have flawed personalities and like to live out redemption through a fictional character.
I don't really agree that Jaime has been redeemed, though. Just cause he fought for and fucked Brienne doesn't make him a good guy.
>tittymonster myrcella
But he and Bran were aight.
Unless you're Tyrion and then you just become a dumb bumbling quip spewer.
that would be very satisfying compared to arya's NANI scene
In the books they better get togther or die together.
They dreamed of each other!
>Bran, I crippled you. How could you forgive me so easily?
>I saw what you did to Cersei in the Sept of Baelor at Joffrey's funeral. It was beautiful. You're a good man, Jaime.
becuase they literally feel good.
Yes
BEST REDEMPTION ARC COMIN THROUGH
I think that how the Night King was killed was stupid. But it makes sense if you think of Bran as someone who is capable of detecting certain aspects about the future. Remember, he gave Arya that dagger; he warged out of the ravens just as the Night King arrived, and encouraged Theon to stand his ground and charge the Night Knight, buying Arya just enough time to arrive and then kill him (albeit, in a stupid manner).
Bran telling Jon about his actual parentage then sets in motion the events which finally psuh Dany over the edge.
Jaime actually does play a massive role in GoT, but it's not as Azor Ahai. He pushed Bran out of the window, therefore, enabling the events of Bran becoming the next Three-Eyed Raven.
His attraction to Cersei is what actually ends up creating the story of Ice and Fire.
