Hell, you can tell in season 2 that the creators had no real plans to keep going, since a lot of the characters don't have anything else to do and lots of the themes/story threads are rehashed.

I was going to type a big response and halfway through it, I realized that I think I largely agree with you, but I'll still point out that
a) The characters were split into different groups in season 1 as well, and those groups were more natural. It was also really satisfying seeing them work out different pieces of the mystery separately and bringing it all together in episode 7, which didn't really happen in season 2.

No. Basedfilledzoomers love it though. It supposed to be an awesome nostalgia throwback show, but honestly, in the first season no one looks like they are from that time period, no one has the hair styles- the big hair, the afros, the long hair. The only stuff you will see is a few movie posters and a couple of toys that were from that era. The story for the first season was mediocre. It felt a lot like a low budget made for TV Stephen King show. And the last season sucked.
