The armor is hardly Hafthor's fault.

Hafthor is massive and strong, but he's too babyfaced to do the Mountain justice. S1 Mountain was a much better fit for the role because he's a lot more menacing and a better actor, S2 Mountain had the best voice but was too lanky (nothing they couldn't have fixed with a better costume, though).
