Yeah they did have some good moments I wont lie but Mass Effect 2 was where it started going down hill and getting more casualized, the human reaper and the dark energy plot points going nowhere was a complete let down. Tuchanka was an excellent mission in 3 no matter what choices you made prior but like you said it all fell flat at the end and nothing mattered.

If they ever make a Mass Effect movie they would make either Miranda or Ashley the official love interest because too many would be grossed out by Shepard kissing and banging aliens.
But, if they have an alien love interest, would it be Liara or Tali? I'm guessing Liara because she looks more human. Tali wears a helmet all the time.

Miranda only comes into the story later, Ashley is historically pretty unpopular, Tali has a devoted fanbase but the suit-helmet thing would get in the way.
Plus, if you ever play the games without the whole saves-carrying-over gimmick, it kind of pushes you in Liara's direction and treats her as a main character type of character. Especially the final game.

Man i hate this fucking meme. Every one of the 3 games had some great moments. ME1 had your thing, Shepard vs Sovereign in the elevator shaft, Virmire mission, ME2 had the suicide mission and the Joker must sneak through the enemies on the ship mission, ME3 had the Tuchanka mission, Mordin death, Citadel DLC, Shepard saying goodbye to his romance moment. Games are packed of great moments - those are just a few examples, to say it PEAKED there is just bullshit.

Default Shepard in the games gets the Renegade path options and in the Andromeda advertising they pointedly only used Jennifer Hale's voice as Shepard despite what happened prior to that.
I think Shepard was intended to be a Renegade Male in as much as they were ever going to canonise him, but the most recent team took a pretty heavy turn to "Nope, Shepard was always female all along, your headcanon was as wrong about that as it was everything else."

They were all shit games.
The first one gets a pass because BioWare by the miracle of combining mistakes and lazy level design accomplished creating atmosphere of the exploring of the vast and dangerous universe.
Also the fact that this was the introduction into ME world helped somewhat.
From the writing perspective the whole show took a massive shit right in the beginning of the second game and throughout it only continued to do so.
The whole plot felt like a Christmas special.
The third one was a massive improvement combat wise and was okay to play but the story itself is just a mess, they lost the touch with what constituted ME and consequently blew up all the build ups and momentum as the whole.
