Why was the twist so forced and shitty? It felt like a last minute rewrite, completely ruined the emotional payoff for the film, and made the plot pointlessly convoluted. Aside from that, my only other complaint is how in your face it was. It definitely felt like either Sony forced some changes, or the filmmakers were just genuinely too incompetent to give it enough nuance.

I don't feel that way at all. I wasn't sure where it was going and when it got there I was like "Whaaaaa? Ohhhh!"
Have sex
The "twist" if you can call it that was obvious from just seeing the trailers
I iked the Las Vegas level, the junkyard level was boring and the city one was generic. The cutscenes with JOI were the best. Final boss fight was predictable and not very engaging.
the "twist" is people actually like and celebrate this hot steaming pile of pretentious shit
Villenueve's scripts are all mediocre as a rule of thumb
>pretentious shit
What was pretentious about it?
i have a feeling that's all you watched, user. to get you up to speed with the rest of us..
>movie baited everyone with good story and ruined it with "jk lol unimportant side character is the chosen one now"
its length for one
I don't think you know what the word pretentious means.
oh that "twist" user? that one was telegraphed hard
was this your first movie? please tell me you didn't really think he was gonna be the one
it tries to be pretentious, but falls short
It's was so obvious. It's clear K wasn't the kid because K being the kid will result in a bad story.
Of course the WHITE MALE has to learn he isn't special and the WHITE WOMAN actually is and that is only worth is to die in service of her. It was so obvious.
>This moron again
The original Blade Runner itself is mostly ingrained in anime and video game culture.
cringe
Whatever you say.
>pretentious
Shouldn't you be making an Avengers thread buddy?
>it felt like a last minute rewrite
Stop evaluating it like a frustrated scriptwriter.
Both Deckard and K were put in a situation where they confidence in reality was either shaken or shattered. Phillip K Dick looks down from Heaven and smiles at this.
>please tell me you didn't really think he was gonna be the one
It shat on this stupid idea of someone being 'the one' while simultaneously using it well.
Of course dumbos are going to make their barnyard squeaks and moos.
It wasn't, it just made you self conscious about the fact that you don't matter either and you reject it wholesale out of emotional distress.
they bitch about TLJ for the same shit lmao. i don't see why they defend it
