So, why did based Jon Snow come back from the dead? I mean, besides him being the best main character

>YU AH MUH QUEEN
>*stabs*
they subverted your expectations by not resolving that
To kill Dany. Maybe he’s also meant to bring civilization to Wildling savages.
Book Jon was better.
SIMPLE AS
to unitie westeros against the NK (although arya proved that unnecessary)
to be the one to kill Dany (although Varys proved that unnecessary)
so to get some dragon queen ass is the only reasonable reason
To lead an army to capture winterfell, and then have a battle there that leads to the killing of the NK and Bran becoming king.
What are you talking about? Having that battle without completely losing before Arya had her chance was absolutely necessary. They showed how difficult it was to kill the NK, they couldn't do it with armies or dragons.
Unification ( lame I know but presumably why unless they just did it for fun and (you)s)
Azor Ahai saved mankind from the Long Night. The Prince That Was Promised delivered mankind from the Long Night of hereditary monarchism.
We saw how easily the NK could be killed in the show, him and his WW were easily snuck up on and he was taken by surprise by Arya’s knife trick; he wasn’t as formidable as we thought.
You could argue that the armies were necessary to delay the fight to draw him out but I think he would always want to kill Bran/3ER personally which is irrelevant to how many armies the living has.
Do we really need to use reverse psychology on writers for them to deliver a story that is somewhat, dare I say it, coherent? I'm getting tired of having my expectations continously challenged by some brainlet writers through subversion. Is that the only tactic they found to appear highly sophisticated and smart?
>have regiment of archers blot out the sun with dragonglass arrows aimed at the NK
>???
>profit
>To lead an army to capture winterfell, and then have a battle there that leads to the killing of the NK and Bran becoming king.
seems like that should of been a whole couple seasons worth of focus
To decide the fate of Men. It was ultimately Jon's choice to kill Dany or not, and it was him who brought together the armies that fought the White Walkers.
To be the one to secure power that he later hands over to a cripple and a woman.
He's not a main character, he's a POV.
He brought everyone together. The show just glossed over that fact at breakneck speed
To defeat the threats of ice and fire
>Arya lays in ambush way way far in front of winterfel
>night king and his army pass by on the way to winterfel
>Arya jumps out and kills night king, avoiding battle
They are mistaking the unexpected for the retarded.
