The first 3 episodes of JoJo are being being adapted to film under the simple title "The Phantom Blood".
Screencap this. Universal will begin casting late next month.

>only the first 3 episodes
Why not just do the entire part?
Probably because they are already structured like a movie. Pretty clear 3 act structure and the last episode gives a perfect amount of closure
Is this even worth watching?
Put phantom blood is lame apart for the beginning and very end.
Cast them.
There isn’t anyone alive chad enough to play Dio or Jonathan.
Watch the first 3 episodes. If you aren't interested by then you won't be
Phantom blood isn’t really. The rest of the parts are though.
Phantom Blood is better than battle tendancy
The Joestars and/or Erina will be minorities, Erina will definitely have a larger role due to "muh empowerment", Dio won't be half as great as he is in the manga/anime. Just another shit western adaption.
>The Joestars and/or Erina will be minorities
Not fucking happening in the 1800s
You are right about Erina though
Look at what they did with the Witcher series, or in Doctor Who, or a million other examples of race switching. At this point it's purely a way of drumming up some free publicity, and you'll get blacks to go see it since they won't go see movies unless there's someone who looks like them in it.
Battle tendency is the best part outside of steel ball run.
All the Joestars except for Joseph and Jonathan are technically minorities though
First 3 episodes almost feel like their own story.
This. They are entirely self contained
Right, I meant Jonathan and George. The characters with the name Joestar. And by minorities I meant black/brown. I'd fuck with an Asian Joestar family if that's the direction they wanted to go in.
>pic related, it's ur new Jotaro bro
>self contained
>introduce the conflict for the entire part
You are retarded
Self contained was poor wording. But you can watch those episodes and stop perfectly fine feeling like you have gotten a full story
>thinking that they're gonna make a movie without dropping a teaser for sequels regardless of whether they ever get made
This is a really shitty suggestion. Jojo part 1 is by far one of the weakest parts. It doesn’t get good until part 2.
Diodris Elbrando
Part 2 is so much worse though. The entire pillar men arc is so uninteresting
>I REJECT MY WHITENESS, JOJO
How progressive of them
what the fuck, delet this
Hahahaha just you wait.
Refresh my memory
>establishing dio's character and circumstances
>establishing the same for best jojo
>the twist with dio's father "helping" jojodad
>the rivalry and the sadism of dio
>Jonathan beating the shit out of dio
>flash forward to best of bros
>dio poisoning his surrogate father
>Jonathan braving the shithole ghettos of London and meeting speedwagon
>the confrontation with Dio
>dio becoming a vampire
>burning building with Jonathan emerging victorious
Is this the first 3 eps?
Then after credits or just prior to, we'll see dio emerging from the smoldering rubble
Yeah that's a pretty much the first 3 episodes
*dubsteps at you*
Why the fuck would they adapt the first three episodes and not the entirety of Part 1? That’s absurd. Nothing unusual for the series standards even happens until Hamon is introduced, no one would watch this.
Thought so, then yeah its a good starting point desu
>Jonathan best Jojo
He might be the purest Jojo, but he's not the best.
>pic related is best
>History. It's a whitewash.
Am I the only one who liked the hamon parts better than the stand parts?
As everyone already said, the first 3 episodes are already paced and structured like a film so it wouldn't require much adjusting. Cramming the whole arc into 2 hours would completely fuck up its pacing. Like entirely.
>Dio is established and "killed" within the first third of the movie only to still be alive
>hamon isn't introduced until over halfway through
>An incredibly unsatisfying ending with Dios head winning at the end
It's sloppy
Part 3 is epitome of anime
Is this real?
Dio is assumed to have died at the end of part 1 when it was written. It wasn't until Stardust Crusaders he was resurrected.
I believe you man, oh yeah, i do believe you. They are starting casting without even a director or a script, i believe you.
IDK. I don't feel worse off for watching it, like Baki, but I don't get the hype.
What are you on about? Part 3 is literally the worst part, right behind Part 1
He still kills Jonathan in the process, though. Part 1 would have ended in a much more satisfying manner with Dio being vanquished for good in the mansion.
They already made an animated movie named Phantom Blood in 2007, but was so bad that Araki told them to shut it down after 3 days in cinemas and it has never be seen or reproduced again.

This was the ED song

But the undebatable anime order at the moment is 4 > 2 > 3 part 2 > 5 > 1 > 3 part 1
>Diamond is Unbreakable
>best one
Contrarians love to hate part 3 but putting second season over the first one is just low effort
*surpasses kino*
